Where be my money?

Like I said, I haven't even finished reading the first HP book. I won't write about characters I don't know about.

I might draw them though.

What about now?

Oh God.

He's gay! Guess what else he is? He's dead! So who gives a flying s**t?

Wait, if he's dead then why did someone ask if he'll ever find true love?
Because they clearly don't understand that, while love may blossom on the battlefield, it can't blossom in a coffin.

All he said was about 'love' so it's perfectly vible to ask if he ever had it. As has been said a lot, he was old, his love would have been dead before he died.

LOL TROLLING IRL.

It's just further pissing in the face of some fundamentalists who previously criticized her books.

I don't think she mentioned it in the books because it wasn't important to the story. Plus people already hate Harry Potter enough. Example. The people who try to get the books banned for schools. How do you think they would have acted if she had put that into the book? They would have tried harder, and prolly gotten the books taken out.

I just think that is bad.

Canon means authentic information given by the original creator. I hoped that definition made sense. sad

All I will say is that I agree with those who say it is a publicity stunt....b/c it is. It was never mentioned in the stories for whatever reason, and besides all of that, Dumbledore was kinda a secondary character. I mean, the books and movies all had their central characters, such as Harry Potter, and his fun time party pals, Hermoine and Ron.... So for her to say Dumbledore was gay now is just to stroke more money out of consumers desperate to run out and grab the current 'it' thing. Either way, it's tarnishing a well written series in my opinion. I didn't like the series, but I have to admit it was well written.

Well first off, Rowling never said point blank "Dumbledore is gay"

In her interview she said when she was thinking about the characterization of Dumbledore, she envisioned a gay kind of mood and attitude. So the SOURCE of Dumbledore is acting gay, but it still isn't confirmed that the character IS actually gay.

Well, phooey. Personally I don't care either way...I just was saying that if it was said, it's just a publicity stunt. I'm more into the Necroscope series by Brain Lumley, or my own that I am busily typing out, The Castle. (Plug, plug!) XD Yesh...I'm shameless.

The article on time.com says

http://www.time.com/time/arts/article/0,8599,1674069,00.html
After reading briefly from the final book, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," she took questions from audience members.

She was asked by one young fan whether Dumbledore finds "true love."

"Dumbledore is gay," the author responded to gasps and applause.

So She does say point blank "dumbledore is gay" if the article is correct.
