it's my hobby as well razz
but somehow i end up watching the same clips of the same anime over and over again...XD
oh, and my top 5 animes are....soul eater, lucky star, death note, ouran,naruto (i guess XD)

Hmm, I haven't been watching anime as much as I've been reading manga lately. But I would recommend you to watch... Death Note. I'm sorry, you've probably already gotten so many recommendations for it already, but I just love it so much. It really is good.

I haven't been watching anime as often as I should, but once I get out school I intend to download/watch online/buy anime and start enjoying it again.
A site that I find helpful for general anime info, as well as to read synopses that could perk your interest, is animenewsnetwork.com. They fairly reliable and have an easy-to-navigate site. I tend to pick a genre and scroll down the list for titles that sound interesting, then read the synopsis. Good luck finding something new to watch! biggrin

Oh my goodness. this can be a hobby? i thought it was just entertainment. anyhow 5 that you must watch are:
Code Geass- it's like deathnote, except with action romance and a better hero/villain. And did I mention Mechs and Terrorism? Conquest and betrayal? yeah it's got all that and more.
Ah my Goddess- so cute and funny it just had to be on the list. even if you
like heavy war anime you'll still probably like this.
Tsubasa Chronicle- For those cute action moments that you just have to watch.
Shuffle- it's basically a harem anime where the guy gets his pick from demons gods or chefs. much fanservice.
Bleach- very publicized and very available but still very good.
