Personality: A dreamer who likes to spend all day with his head in the clouds, he often has a hard time focusing and it's all that uncommon for him to jump from one subject to an entirely different one. When confronted about this odd jump, he will respond with a clueless look since he doesn't even realize what he's done. Once one can look past his odd behavior, they'll find a friendly stallion who enjoys the company of others.

From when he was a wee basket, his fate had been intertwined with that of Zaitus. Where ever he scooted to in his wicker prison, the other followed, ramming into his rear.
When they emerged from their baskets, though Zaitus was no longer Ellial's booty ramming shadow, their paths continued to cross. Whenever Ellial ventured out on his own, their would be the other colt. Ellial wasn't sure when it happened, but he began to enjoy their meetings because around Zaitus, Ellial felt that he could really focus. Perhaps it was the others violent actions, or the fact that the other just tended to treat him differently.
Upon reaching adulthood, it didn't take long for Zaitus and him to become an official couple. All it took was a short absence and mischievous filly to force a confession.

Personality: A kind and loving bear who's taken to following Ellial around. Giving him a friendly nudge whenever he starts to wander to far from his mate, or towards something that could do him harm. She seems to possess an unending well of patience.

Likes: Fruit, bathing in a cool stream, daffodils, watching over Ellial, Ellial's stories, and babies of any kind.
Dislikes: Causing harm to others, meat, getting knots in her fur, being far from Ellial, and honey

To say that Deirdre was nervous would be an understatement. The expectant gazes of the parents before her did nothing to ease the knots growing in her stomach. She could not blame them though, not with the excitement that must surely be building in their own guts. And all over the contents of a basket.

Not to discount the contents. She would never speak down of something as precious as a young life.

As if sensing the mare’s thoughts, and the attention of its parents, life stirred within the basket. A soft whinny emanated from within, drawing all of the attention of the parents away from the nervous nanny.

Deirdre heaved out a quiet sigh and gathered all of her thoughts. Now, how did she picture this child? Gender, markings, colorings, so many possibilities flitted through her mind that she had a hard time placing them all together. It was like a puzzle with moving pieces.

She slid her gaze to the basket.

Perhaps the best way to catch some of those pieces was to tackle them one at a time. With that strategy in mind, she closed her eyes and willed a picture to form.

“A filly.”

A hazy outline began to form in her mind. It wasn’t much, but at least it was a start. Conjuring images of the parents, she began to mix them together.

“The colors that make up her fur are the same as those that paint the night sky towards the end of sunset, just before night takes over the sky. Gray dominates while slowly darkening to dark blue as it goes down her body. A soft purple stripe runs along her back.”

Within the contours of Deirdre’s mind, a young filly began to frolic. The filly was almost complete, though she looked rather odd without a mane and tail.

“In contrast to her body, her mane and tail are the color of the sky on a nice sunny day. And long, much like her mother’s, so that it can dance in the breeze.”

Something was still missing, but what? As the question echoed within her mind, the frolicking filly stopped and turned its gaze upon her. The filly’s eye sockets holding nothing but a black abyss.

Startled, Deirdre’s eyes snapped open to lock with those of the mother’s. Unbidden, she spoke one last time, “She has your eyes.”
