History: Scarlet was raised in the Eastern Kawani mountains. She lived in a small herd consisting of a several small family groups. The land they inhabited was protected by a natural stone gateway that was just large enough to let the petite horses through. Inside the gateway just about everything was red. when Scarlet was born she was immediately favored because of the mysterious crimson butterfly markings on her. She was considered to be a good luck charm for the herd and received special treatment.

Another foal, born shortly after Scarlet, took a liking to her and her naturally submissive behavior. The two 'played' together many times but it didn't go without notice. The elders of the herd disapproved of how Thorn treated Scarlet and finally banished her and her parents. Thorn returned one rainy night and led Scarlet off to the river. In an act of revenge against the herd she pushed Scarlet in to the rushing waters and the young mare was swept downstream. She banged her head on a rock and everything got jumbled up inside her head so that her naturally submissive behavior became much worse. Three days later Dark found her.

For years she stayed with Lunathiel, Dark's friend of a sort, while the tried hopelessly to figure out where she had come from and why she was the way she was. During the time spent in the village she got pregnant with Dark's children. A long while after that several events led to her return to her homeland. After an encounter with Thorn she was forced into remembering everything she had previously lost. In the end she fled from her old life to hide herself away.

For nearly a year she lived in complete solitude and that sudden isolation took a toll on her mind. She was found by a pair of healer mares and taken in to be cared for by them. Their busy lives left Scarlet alone often and one day she was stolen by kalona. She was brought deep into the jungle where she drew her final breaths in the company of a brilliant crimson butterfly, the last creature to ever feel her breath.

Personality: Scarlet regained her memories of the past and isolated herself as a result. It drove her to madness and eventually fractured her mind. The damage to her mental state left her, for all intents and purposes, helpless and unaware. It was like she was made lifeless once again.

History: Dark flew to the Kawani lands after losing interest in his last home. He continued to do what he did best in this new place, that being stealing trinkets and flirting with mares. After a few months he stumbled upon a strange mare that seemed to have no name and didn’t seem to know what to do with herself. He named her Scarlet Wing because of the crimson butterfly on her chest and began to teach her how to act around others and to think for herself. Not long after this an old ghost from Dark’s past showed up, Krad. The two were once mortal enemies but after talking for a very long while things changed but they made things no better for the thief. It just served to confuse him a bit as his worst enemy was now something a bit like a friend.

Not too long after one of his little flings resulted in Scarlet becoming pregnant with his children. He didn’t want this to be the case and fled only to be brought back to reality by Krad. Things complicated themselves further when Lunathiel gave one of Dark’s baskets to Krad to look after leaving Dark to watch the other one.

After some time he ran into a filly late in the night. This turned out to be Seraphia, Krad's daughter. At the time he didn't know it but later he had another run in with her. She went insane and attacked him. Naturally he fought back and hard not wanting to let her get at Scarlet who was fleeing the area. Once he threw her into a tree and knocked her out he returned to the village to relay what had happened to him. Barely a month later, he was sent to take Scarlet up the mountains. After an encounter with Thorn at their old home, Scarlet ran off giving Dark a very confusing final goodbye. He went back to the village and explained what had happened to Lunathiel before flying off. Free for the first time in a long time even though it didn't feel like it.

Personality: Dark tends to be rather laid-back and easy going for the most part. He has a lot of pride for what he does and just in general. He does not, however, let his pride affect him when his life is on the line and will often chose to flee before anything is able to happen. Dark, though, does not tolerate having something of his taken from him and if it means enough to him he will fight with little restraint.

History: Carmine is the daughter of Dark and Scarlet but she was raised solely by her father. She grew to dislike her mother and how her mother is intensely with no influence from anyone around her afraid that at some point she may grow to be dull like her. As a child her father couldn't do anything to keep her out of trouble and found that she was something of a natural thief. Her behavior was encouraged and before long she was running off on her own, making friends and causing trouble.

Her cheerful and playful nature brought attention from a few guys though mainly from Tavarii. Before long she found herself pregnant and she was happy, until the children were born. At that point in time she lost her spot in the spotlight despite her efforts to reclaim it. Once Malta was able to leave she took her determined to find her place in the sun once again.

In time she found just such a place. For years she was a solo operator and then in the space of a few months she found herself as the head of a small ragtag bunch of criminals. She called their organization The Underground and for the time being they serve only as assistants on her heists.

Personality: Carmine's a bit like the sun. Warm, cheerful, bright but won't hesitate to burn you if she sees it fit. She can be rather competitive and stubborn though mostly with her father. When she's not being active or the center of attention she feels rather empty inside and she does not like it.

History: Kaitou Malta is one of the daughters of Carmine and Tavarii, making her the granddaughter of Dark Mousey. She was raised from a young age to be a thief like the rest of her family but proved to be a failure. She is a bit clumsy and never could tell jewels from stones. Her one saving grace was how quickly she took to the skies and learned to ride the winds. Longer flights, however, began to reveal another fluke with Malta; she enjoys the feeling of the wind so much that she begins to feel drunk.

After living life as a distraction for her mother and grandfather for a while she decided that this wasn't the life she wanted and informed her relatives of her choice. A short time later she set off on her own returning home every now and then.

Personality: Malta is a sweet heart who loves to live life for the moment. She worries every now and then about this and that but never dwells on it for long. She wants to see people smile and so she tries to keep one on her own face as much as possible. The things she does and the way she talks are often rather childish, this is because she believes that foals enjoy life more. She is gentle and has a soft spot for butterflies and fireflies especially and is perfectly content to spend hours in the daylight or night time dancing with them. The only waste of time for her is a time when nothing at all is being done.

History: Clea was raised by her mother and her mother's family only. With two sisters and more aunts, uncles and grandparents than she could keep track of, however, she was never really concerned about her lack of father. She got more love than she knew what to do with even without him after all. Aside from her lack of father she lived a relatively normal childhood. As she grew up a couple things became more noticeable. At the forefront of these things was her habit of taking things that didn't belong to her seemingly just to take them. Her desire to do this didn't make sense even to her because her mother wasn't that way which made her think that perhaps it was her father.

When she felt that she was old enough to handle being on her own she took off in search of her father or anyone who could give her a better understanding of her own tendencies.

Personality: Clea's a bit of a thief by nature, albeit a clumsy one. She hasn't quite figured out how to take something without getting caught. She doesn't actually seem to care if she gets spotted or not though. All in all she's a very cheerful character to the point that she often comes across as completely ditzy. She's optimistic, hardworking and as stubborn as a mule. If she wants to do something she will even if she has to go through hell to do it.
