O'Connell's
Seán ----- │ ----- Fiona │ Dana
Looking from daughter to daughter, the looks on his girls' faces were priceless. Seán couldn't help but laugh looking at the two. "That was awesome daddy!" Dana exclaimed. "Can we do it again?" she asked, eyes big. "We will when you have to," he told her with a slight chuckle. "The train is big," Fiona said with wide eyes, and a look of complete awe on her face. "It is even bigger on the inside," he told her, remembering all the times he boarded. "C'mon girls, lets get your 'longings to baggage," he said, Irish accent thick.
On their way over, Fi got a little worried. "Will they let us take Unicorn and Puppy on? What will 'appen to 'em if we can't?" she asked her father with great concern. He looked down at her with a great big smile. "Don't worry, baby," he reassured her, "you can take your kittens." Fi jumped with complete excitement.

Cathryn O'MalleyHogwarts First-Year
[[Continued from the Solid Barrier Dividing Platforms 9 & 10]]
What she saw was a giant scarlet steam engine, so beautiful that it almost hurt to look at it. Witches and wizards bustled every which way. Cat was dazzled by it all. The sound of her mother's, Shannon's, voice startled her out of her trance. "Cat, the train is about to leave, and I don't know where your father is. Get on the train, and if he get's here, come out and say good bye. Be good. We'll miss you. We love you. Don't forget to write!" Cat hugged her mother goodbye, kissed her on the cheek, stored her luggage in the compartment (but took Maximus' cage on the train with her), and stepped onto the Hogwarts Express.

Cathryn O'Malley Hogwarts Second-Year: Ravenclaw
Cathryn stepped off the Hogwarts Express, marveling at how fast the school year had gone by. She had made so many friends, learned so many things about being a witch, and so much more! She was sad to leave, but looked forward to getting to see her parents again. Speaking of her parents, there they were! Shannon and Peter waved to Cathryn as she approached them. She started off walking but ended up running. She ran right into her father's arms. He staggered backward as her weight hit him.
"Woah, Cat! You've grown! Never mind that, how was Hogwarts?" Peter asked his daughter.
Cat opened her mouth to reply, but Shannon's cough interrupted. Peter seemed to remember something as he reached down and grabbed his briefcase. "Now Cathryn, I'm sure you remeber that I was not here to say goodbye to you when you left, correct?" Cat nodded. "I got you a present to help make up for that." He opened his briefcase and pulled out an owl cage. But it wasn't empty! Inside the cage was a beautiful young female snowy owl.
Cathryn squeeled in delight. "Thank you Dad! She's wonderful! I'll name her Rowena, after Ravenclaw! Thank you so much!" She took the cage and with that the red-headed family left the station headed for home.

"Give me a lever long enough and a fulcrum on which to place it, and I shall move the world."Tristain hugged Komala - her new baby kitten - tight in her left arm. At the moment, she was the only thing keeping her full attention from the realization that she was soon to be boarding a train to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Her free hand was woven into her mother's as they walked closer and closer to their destination.
It was a heavy feeling knowing that none of the students she saw would be familiar to her, other than the two she had met last summer - friends of her older brother - whom she wasn't even sure were still his friends. Colton didn't mention much about it, but over his break she was able to sense the mysterious tension that now sat between the three. Part of her, a very quiet part that she seemed to be embarrassed about, hoped that she might spot Phinelia - the beautiful red head who shared her passion and love of reading.
As their pace slowed, her mother took her in her arms and let her tears fall freely into the girl's strawberry blonde hair. "Don't worry, Mummy. I told you - I'll write as soon as I get settled in tonight." Tristain's cheeks flushed bright red against her cold, pale skin, and she whispered her dozenth "I love you" before moving into her father's grip. Their matching, brilliant blue eyes locked for a long moment before he kissed the top of her head and whispered his goodbyes. "Love you, too, Daddy - and don't forget to take care of Horncliff." The first year giggled lightly - Horncliff had always been her favorite hippogriff, the one she had always been responsible for feeding. Now that she was going to be away from home, Tristain had stressed her worry about his future care and maintenance every chance she got."In seeking wisdom thou art wise; in imagining that thou hast attained it - thou art a fool."

wearing: formal summer dress╔══════════════════╗The few days after the events at the Nott estate were spent in a sleepless sort of haze. Her memory was rather blurred as to the details of specific things she did or did not due in those 78 hours before her family had arrived to fly her off to Spain. Her return from the estate and the knowledge she had gained had left her with two options: go through ever aspect of her total compiled knowledge and information and attempt to connect whatever dots she could spot, or simply await the return of their group-of-four's contact with each other. And as much as it pained her to admit, she knew that there were wounds between all four of them that would not e easily to heal. And she felt responsible for every insignificant scratch and ever festering gash she did not understand. She so desperately wanted to heal them. As a result, her nights were spent just as her days were; pouring over book after book, compromising thoughts, conspiring theories and critically thinking ever aspect and ever previously devises critical thought. Even the warm, colorful release that came with being once more in the caring embrace of her being back where she felt most at home could not side track her from rarely ever thinking of things besides the events of the ball and of her two past years in Hogwarts.
Now, however, the rest of the summer had slipped right along her hesitating palm so quickly, she never even realized it had even held a presence there. Now she had been returned to the dreadful home in London, returned into the momentary custody of her 'magical guardian' and now, at present, she was about to return to her magical home. Now, she was back on Platform 9 3/4. A smile was tearing itself against the corners of her mouth in protest of not being wide enough. Eyes glistened with a revitalized spark that had not been present since the end of the last summer. It seemed that with revitalized proposed, returned the old, and true, Phinelia. Pushing the trolley down the stone platform, Hermes softly musing in his cage and her trunk gently bouncing to the dip of the stone, Phi's fingers tightened on the handle as her eyes scoured the crowd for a familiar towering shaved head. An anxiety fell over her as a memory lapsed before her eyes of the cold stare of the boy the last she saw him. Her confusion regarding the events was just as thick as it had been the minutes of the playing moments. She was still unaware of what had changed in him to make him revert to his closed self, what had hurt him, what he had been doing prior to the end of the school year and what he had been doing all summer. Unfortunately, her stay in Spain had meant the complete loss of contact between anyone in England. However desperately she had meant to speak to Colton, even through post, had left her with the inability due to distance. Hermes could not make the journeys safely or promptly, so instead, Phi had been waiting for this day with a regularly swelling anticipation. She had missed Colton more than she ever realized and more than she could bare to stand for another few minutes. Her visual scan began to intensity as her grip on the handle strengthened. Pushing the trolley with little attention to what or who could be in her path as she progressed to the nostalgic scarlet engine. Suddenly, she spotted exactly the person she was looking for and for a second time froze and she could only stare at him. His posture was slightly slouched and so he did not stick out with his height as he naturally would. His head was newly shaven and Phi could easily identify the other three members of his family around him. She could not see his face, only the back of his head. And her molten eyes were locked on it like a compass needle locking with the magnetic pole. Then that second ended and before she knew, her trolley was already flying towards him with the speed taken from her unconscious form of running, smile again bursting from her fully-lipped and bright face. "Colton!" she called out, attempting to slow herself and regain control before she led to the death of someone. "Colton!" She pressed her heels into a groove of the stone and used its leverage to completely stop her trolley as she still held onto it. Just as the wheels seized spinning, her fingers let go completely of the handle and her legs ran toward the boy. Jumping slightly, her free arms wrapped themselves around the boy as she finally came close enough. Her mind gave no thought toward what the strangers surrounding them thought, no thought toward what his father or his mother must feel or think in regards to her explosive expression, and no thought to how much Tristain could be embarrassed by this showcase. No thoughts were given, only a rush of warmth she had never before experienced at their contact. A flurry of kind emotions kindled her and introduced itself.
{i tried to be vague about what may play out in the nott estate. i just really wanted to do this sort of interaction for them. show some more emotional development for phi. c:}╚══════════════════╝

яεġrετ┃ηστнιηġ ♦ ғεαя┃ησ σηε ♦ ταkε prιdε ιη┃εvεяyτнιηġColton was lost in thought as he waited for his parent to finish their goodbyes with Tristain. His mind traveled back to earlier days when his bond between his three best friends had been at its height. Coincidentally, it was those thought that gripped his head at the same time that a familiar pair of arms wove themselves around his neck, and his murky eyes locked with Phi's.
Colt's heart was now pounding against his rib cage as the girl of his dreams had bounded into his arms. Even though his own, muscular arms automatically wound around her petite waist, in a matter of micro-seconds, the boy's face jumped from surprise, to excitement, to relief, to the same pained face he had worn in the hospital wing, and back to perfect stone once again. As much as he wanted this - the beautiful red head tight in his arms - he knew it wasn't what it seemed. He had once thought it a possibility, but after finding out about her feelings for Ronyo and his for her, Colton forced himself to release his grip and reach for his luggage once more.
However difficult that was for him, it was even more difficult to speak to her, and that much more difficult for him to muster an unpleasant tone. After a long moment of hesitation - and sideways glances towards his spectating family - he realized that he just couldn't be mean to her. After all, it wasn't her fault that her heart chose Ronyo over him. "Hello, Phinelia." Even as he was torn between pain and pleasure, he couldn't hide the genuine smile that forced the edges of his lips to ascend following his quiet words.
After a long, torturous moment of taking in her perfectly maturing, angelic face, Colton reached a hand out to his baby sister and inched onto the train - hoping, but not asking - that Phi would sit with them.[[ OOC: I edited my last two posts so that this one would make sense, being that I had already posted Colt and Tristain boarding the train. I couldn't help but post his reaction to Phi. :3 ]]

"Give me a lever long enough and a fulcrum on which to place it, and I shall move the world."Tristain's attention snapped to the sound of her brother's name, and with the turn of her body, she saw the very red head she had just been seeking jump into Colton's arms. A smile emerged onto her face without her even noticing, and she watched closely to read her brother's reaction. Even after watching their embrace - and him trying to hide his mixed emotions - Tristain was far from able to identify what he was feeling.
When Colton's gaze locked with hers, she quickly pivoted back to her parents, giving them each one final hug before taking her brother's outstretched hand. "You'll sit with us, won't you, Phi?" As Colton lead her up the stairs of the train, she asked bravely what Colton had been too afraid to. Part of her hoped he wouldn't be angry with her for it, while another - much larger - part, didn't bother to care."In seeking wisdom thou art wise; in imagining that thou hast attained it - thou art a fool."
