The hawk's eyes followed the Otter's leave. Perhaps that little water creature would come up with the final solution. But he seemed unsettled, maybe it was a fault of youth and being out of the water though. Zaco turned his attention back to the others as they spoke.

"Agreed." Zaco said while he balanced himself on the moving antlers as Fawn nodded. "It may be best to stay together around the humans, so that you always have a person you trust to count on." He advised. After thinking about if any of them got into trouble, the best solution would be to have another of their kind already present to help. Of course they would have to otherwise contact the other Gods, wherever they might be at such a time.

"It might be necessary for someone to tend to Chakas, the otter seems a little ruffled. Though I won't ask anyone to personally take the burden on their shoulders."
He observed. Maybe the otter would be perfectly well after he dipped in a lake and he was being too precise. Well, more important matters were at hand anyway.
"I now fly. If you see me within the human lands, feel free to get in contact. Other than that, we should meet in at least a week's time to discuss our findings." Zaco spread his wings wide and bowed his head as a good bye.

Then, in a flash with a firm flap of his wings, he was gone. Zaco passed the trees, climbed into the sky, and glided along the winds. The freedom was quite relaxing. He was not very keen on going back to the human towns, but maybe he could take it a bit slowly, especially if the other Gods would join him.

"Then I shall see you all in a week, my friends." Amaya murmured before she began walking off towards the town. She would take her human form soon, but she needed her weapons and clothes before she did that, and she had them hidden away. Her tail flicked easily behind her as she passed the gods, disappearing into the brush. Amaya knew what the gods looked like, but she didn't need them knowing where she spent her time between the rare times they'd see her.

Coming upon a giant fallen tree a few minutes later, Amaya took her human form, brushing out her hair with her fingers as she reached her hands in the tree, pulling out a set of clothes. Once she had them on, she got her weapons and began making her way to the town, humming softly to herself as she walked.

Chou tended to each plant, and made sure each had enough water. One of the saplings needed water, and so she went to a lake nearby. She was careful not to disturb the creatures in the lake and tried to hurry back to the sampling as she could only cuff her hands together. "Here little one..." She whispered softly, giving the small sapling the water. She looked up to the sky, seeing much time had past. "I have to leave now, I should spread out half of the blackberries..." She quickly went to her bush of blackberries, gathering them. She left a few there, and some berries she dropped on the way back to the village. It wasn't a trail, as she threw the berries into the forest's trees. Hoping to spread them out for the animals to eat or for it to slowly form a bush itself.

As she headed back to the village, her smile faded. She sighed, holding the remainder of the blackberries close. She'll worry..I should hurry. She reassured herself, trying to keep her head up. She knew her sister hated her, but she loved her too. She saw another woman on the way to the village, about to smile though couldn't for the thought of going to the village in the first place. They both reached the gate around the same time, and the guard halted them both. "As I said, my blackberries were done..you may have one if you want." She said to the guard, the guard taking one. "And she's with you?" The guard asked her. Chou looked to the guard and the woman,"She is welcome to visit and to go as she pleases, be polite." She jested, poking the guard.

In the distance, she saw her sister with her friends.

"Chou! Where have you been? Did you forget you have laundry to do?" One of them lectured, stomping over to her. "I was tending to the forest..." The women laughed, along with her sister, Chi. "You might as well have gotten us wood...you have to work like the rest of us, little ice princess." Another of the friends said, poking at her. Chou looked up to her sister, seeing if there was a reply from her....but, nothing. "If you excuse me.." She said to them, shuffling past. The group of woman whispered to each other more insults, her sister simply laughing with them.

Meanwhile Chou went to her home, putting the blackberries into a better bowl.

"Yes, in a week, then," Ayala replied softly and left the clearing as well. There was an area near the edge of a nearby village where blackberries were always left as tribute for the forest. The animals that would normally eat these berries knew to wait for Ayala to take some before eating what they found. Instinctively, she looked around for predators before dipping her head to partake of the blackberries, though she had no need to watch for predators as most animals recognized her presence.

Jin said nothing before stalking off to make his own preparations. A large clearing scattered with rocks acted as the home to his wolf pack. A god of the forest wasn't the only title he'd been granted upon his transformation so many years ago. As he approached, some wolves came forward to greet him on his return from the meeting and he told them to gather the others. Before he could leave for the human settlement, he had to name a temporary leader of the pack or all hell would break loose. Once that was done, he took his human form and collected the old clothes he'd kept tucked away under one of the rocks that made up his home. How long had it been since he last took human form, he wondered as he tied his hair back with a sense of nostalgia. "Don't worry, my friends," he said crouching down to scratch one of the wolves behind the ears as they gathered to bid him farewell. "I'll return in a week's time. I hate to leave you, but this is for our own benefit, as well as that of the forest." he told them before standing and heading for the human village with a cold expression. The only time he seemed to warm up even the slightest was when he was with his pack - his own kind - and the thought of what the humans had done over the years filled him with disgust. He remembered a time when they lived in harmony with the forest, but it seemed those days had been forgotten by them.

Pozlaceny scratched out a sentence, reread her paragragh before groaning and crumpling the paper and throwing it, with no direction in particular. She was, well, uninspired. She had read through many books, novels, classics, speeches, plays, pamphlets, essays and the such and could not find anything that interested her in what to write about. It wracked her brain really and she was left in an irritated and fustrated mood. Having writer's block agrivated her; she could not think up a single clever idea. Often, when times like this had come to her, she would roam around in the village and near the forests however, upon returning to her hometown, she had found little salvation in inspiration nor motivation to write about anything in particular.

She pushed her chair out, the legs screeching against the hard wooden floor, and stood, though her body was slack. She often looked like she had a bad posture; that was due to hunching over and writing most of the time. Her hair messily made, probably because the first thing she did today was sit in her chair and try to write, much to her dissatisfaction, and her eyes looked weary of reading and reading. She took off her glasses, she used them to read, beforepicking her way through piles of loose papers and books and such that scattered everywhere in her house: on the floor, shelves, book cases, against the walls, on window sills and on tables and random chairs. Often, many of the villagers would come to her abode to take part in this house full of knowledge, seeing her messy house as a neighborhood library of sorts.

She rubbed her eyes before washing her face, though both did not help her restlessness. Alas, Pozlaceny left her home, her face showing bitterness, with a bag full of paper and ink in hand.

"Morning, starshine," the man murmured in a cheery tone, offering Pozlaceny a cool smile. Pozlaceny passed him, already in a grim mood and didn't want to deal with the fool. Ren frowned, pocketed his hands before going up the path to the porch where he sat, watching Pozlaceny's shrinking silhoutte. He'd often try to be nice to her but she was always in such a bad mood. He gave a lofty sigh and leaned back in his chair.

Pozlaceny, in no mood for games, walked in a quick manner, though she was in no rush, and went into town. She thought it'd be best to go observe people today to get some sort of idea on her next work. And so, with such a mission in mind, Pozlaceny moved forward until she met the markets and people always hustling about. She slowed and looked around, also feeling the mood to eat something for she had not eaten anything the night before or in the morning, and so felt it best to fetch breakfast.

As he emerged from the forest, Jin brought a hand up to shield his eyes from the sun, no longer shadowed by the thick cover of trees overhead. He could see the village from the forest's edge and began to wonder what cover story he would give. The humans were bound to be curious about a stranger in their town, much less six of them. "A journey...Yes, that should work..." he muttered to himself as he walked. As a human, martial arts were his passion and was very disciplined because of it. A sort of vision quest to hone his body and mind as part of his training would easily work as cause for traveling around the world.

Chakas, now in his human form, walked into the city. He was clothed and armored, his sword strapped to his back. For an otter, he was stronger than most. Then again, he was a god. He walked with a watery, light grace. It was impossible for others wearing as much as he did. He was usually referred to as royalty and he had to scold whoever told him he did, telling them that royalties were mostly greedy fools.

He walked into Chou's house.
"Hello..." He had met with Chou many times, not really caring for her sister. Chou's mother had helped him live during his birth, helping his mother along. She had also worshiped the gods. When the woman died, Chakas mourned as Chou did. Chou still remained faithful to the Gods though. With that, Chakas visited her as often as he could, but today he needed to talk to her.

The girl, usually iced to all, didn't set him off. Actually, he was so comfortable with her that he told her his secret, that he was a god.
"Um... Can I stay for a while? It's been kinda rough today..." Even swimming didn't help his mood. He still couldn't figure the problem out as he could when there was a squabble between otters. Then again, they were animals, they weren't too greedy, just territorial. Give them their space and they dont seek more

Chou blinked as Chakas walked in, a bit surprised. "Oh...if my sister doesn't notice you, I think it should be fine. Otherwise, she'd.... Simply stay in my room, she never enters there." She said to him, setting her bowl of blackberries by the window. Her tone was still ice, as it always was when she was in the village. Outside the window she could see the market, as the house was fairly close to it. "I had a fairly good morning, tending to my garden. Though, her friends spoiled it....they called me ice princess again because I'm not doing their laundry. I didn't mind doing laundry back...when she did it with me. Now they just dump it off, and they wonder why I'm so cold to them." She said with a long sigh as she sat down, her hand going to the bowl as she grabbed a few blackberries.

Meanwhile, Chi and her friends were going to the market. "I swear, its like her breath can freeze time." "Yeah..and what she says make no sense." The friends went on, Chi laughing occasionally. "Oooo..all the new travelers are coming about. Must be the season." She said, pointing out a new man. "Oh? Calls for a new dress!" "Come on, Chi!" The three of them went deeper into market, going towards the clothing stalls.

Amaya knew, walking into the city, that her clothes were minimal and people would noticed. Though as she was dressed, she merely appeared as a ranger, a character that was best left alone. She was watched with a wary eye by every person she passed, but she ignored the stares, instead heading for the nearest tavern. Since she used to be human, she could stomach their food, though now she found that she preferred what she caught much more than being served something. Still, she had to appear as a ranger. And while she had the look down, she still had to act as she appeared, which was easy enough, given her nature.

Jin migrated into the marketplace, deciding to see just how much the humans were profiting off the land and animals. There seemed to be quite a bit of food and trinkets lining the stalls. He gave a small nod of approval at the produce stalls, and a frown at the stands selling pointless trinkets. Trees killed for pointless figurines and stone and earth destroyed that could be better used as shelter for some small creature. It was the meat stands that truly made him wince however and almost made him nauseous at that sight. So many animals killed, and how much of that meat would actually be used? There was so much, he could hardly believe the humans could consume it all before it became rotten. And the animal pelts. He couldn't help but go up to a hanging wolf pelt and lay a gentle hand to it to mutter a small pray for his fallen brother. This was why he hated the humans of today; they took and they took without giving anything back nor feeling remorse for the creatures that gave their lives to fill their greedy bellies.

After Ayala had finished her meal and watched the other peaceful forest creatures eat their fill, she took on her own human form. Her antlers fell to the forest floor and became a pair of ivory swords, stronger than any steel weapon the humans could make. She picked the swords up and placed them in the crossed sheaths on her back. She hoped she wouldn't need to use them, but they fit in her disguise. Her appearance had always been a bit unusual, what with the white hair despite her apparent youth, so she fit in better as a priestess of the sun god or a wandering sorceress than a normal traveler. Sighing, feeling odd in her human form after being a deer for two centuries, she headed toward the village.

Chakas shook his head. "Like I give two wags of an otter's tail about what your sister thinks of me." He went into her room anyways. Setting his sword against her bedroom wall, he walked out and past her, stepping outside. "Don't worry about the laundry." He would do it. He owed it to her. She let him bother her.

As he did the laundry, he thought about the girl. Should he tell her of the gods' plans? Maybe. She could help with his challenge plan. Or.... He just didn't know. Worst comes to worst, he would challenge the humans for leadership. If he lost, he would become their servant. He wouldn't like it, but it was his duty to protect the forest and the otters, as well as every other animal there.

Pozlaceny slunk to the market place, though unlike the gods certain distaste for humans and the apalling sight of the market, she found it filled with potential. She hiked the strap of her bag, woven together with long, sturdy straws, up her shoulder before squeezing past two rather chubby men before checking out the stalls. Sure, some of the stalls were disgusting and riddled with useless junk, but Pozlaceny was always good with finding just the right deal and item for the price she gave. She passed up some orphaned children, whom lived on the streets like rats, and stopped at a table selling fruits and other sorts of snacks. The street rats, well, they were sadly a normal sight for her. She felt sympathy yes, but have been raised to ignore their plight, though the concept was rather solemn. She plucked a pear, cheese, and a slice of bread, paid for them, and wrapped the latter up in a plaid fabric before stuffing it into her bag. She bit into the pear after that and walked further. She'd have to decide where to settle and people watch for the day and could think up numerous places to do so. Inevitably, Pozlaceny could not decide on one and decided to wander a bit more.

The hawk enjoyed gliding along on the wind, to the very point till he landed on the roof of one of the numerous human buildings, in the nearby town. Zaco gathered his wings against his torso and took a few careful steps to the edge of the roof. It sloped down treacherously on both sides, and Zaco was keen on staying at the steady, very top of the roof where the sides met.

The bird watched the hustle and bustle of the humans from where he had perched. Nothing unusual, though he could swear he caught a glimpse of some of the other Gods walking in the crowds. Across the street was a tavern, one of those human drinking establishments where humans of certain ages spent quite a bit of time. The only benefit he saw was that everyone was too busy to take notice when drinking and talking loudly, and he could sit in solitude even in the midst of such chaos. Perhaps later though.

Zaco took off, flying to the opposite end of the town from the gates. This area, though the entire place was not all that large to begin with, was always noticeably more peaceful than the rest of town. That he liked. The hawk landed on the soft grass, his talons digging into it to maintain his balance. He flexed his wings while looking around. No bread crumbs today... Food was something the humans sure got right, sometimes...
