Ven watched as his students filtered out of the class, biting down a chuckle when several of them gave Jesse and Gin dumbfounded looks. He couldn't blame them, not really with how reticient and downright prickly Gin usually was in class. He would've been surprised too if he didn't know better.

He was pulling on another coat when Gin approached him, asking about his break and a smile flitted across Ven's face. "It was good, I really enjoyed it." That was an understatement; both Ven and Gianna were incredibly happy and despite the break being over, he'd like nothing more than to go back home with her. But he didn't have to say more, Ven suspected that Gin already knew that, having accidentally walked in on him Gianna (much to Ven's mortification).

"What about you?" he asked with a raised eyebrow. "I assume your break was good too? You're even making new friends," he couldn't help but rib. He knew that Gin was sleeping much better and it was obvious by Gin's good mood that things have been going well with him and Sokea. Ven was glad; it beat Gin's perpetual exhaustion that was almost painful to witness. And on that note... "You should come around more often, with Sokea as well. We haven't seen you much over the break," he couldn't help but frown. He would've said more but another shiver interrupted his thoughts and Ven closed his eyes and sighed. Even with the many layers he wore, he could still feel the chill seeping into his bones.

Gin smirked and shrugged a shoulder at Ven’s ribbing. Yeah, he knew he could be a grumpy a*****e, but he was at least trying to be a bit friendlier to his peers. “Eh, it’s worth a shot now and then. Jesse seems like a nice enough girl and it doesn’t hurt to make small talk while we wait for the Professor to shuffle in.” He said with a grin, ribbing back. “But yeah, the Festival was fun. Sokea and I went the first day but decided to skip the second day. We stayed in instead…”

At Ven’s next statement, he crossed his arms over his chest and arched a brow. “Why? So you and Gia can scar me for life, again?” Gin, wanting to visit his two favorite professors and check in on them during the break, had walked in on them…wrestling. It had been his mistake. He’d heard some odd noises and gone to investigate – He should have known better.

“Nah…It wasn’t that bad…but still. I’ll let you two have some…” He made little air quotes with his fingers, “…‘private time’. Once you two are a bit more settled, I’ll come over with Sokea. Maybe we can do dinner or something.” It wasn’t a bad idea. Gia had stated several times that she was going to adopt him – he still wasn’t sure if she was joking or not. It seemed that Ven had discovered that Gin had disowned his clan and thus, was now on his own. Ever since, Ven and Gia had been going out of their way to include him in things. It was nice…

“Anyway, I’ll let you get back home, Ven. You look ready for a hot meal, an even hotter fire and a long nap.” Patting his professor’s shoulder, he turned to head out. “See ya around, Papa Bear.” That being said, Gin left the classroom, transforming into his wolf form as his did so. In seconds, he was gone.

~ Leaving Dorm room and Entering Shifter Classroom ~

With the incident at the Bakery leaving her feeling really terrible, Jesse had rushed back to her dorm room - partially for safety, but also to hide... She was greatly upset by the trouble she'd caused by accidently falling onto the Angry Man in the marketplace and after he'd entered the store with such a roar, she had seen no other way to apologise but to give up the basket of cookies that she'd hoped to share with everyone... It just made her feel all that more worse when she arrived to an empty dorm room - It appeared as though Tay had been called back to her Father's Farm, she had mentioned something about that before, but Jesse had never thought it would actually happen...but at least she'd taken her gift with her.

She'd been rather upset and after a good cry, Jesse had taken to her favourite book - it certainly helped to pass the time and distract her until she fell asleep that night, but sadly it eventually came to an end - albeit a happy one - but it also meant she would have to visit Fidel's store again and see if the next book was in.

Unlike some people who would perhaps feel bad for several days, Jesse had learnt that a new day meant new opportunities and so as she awoke, rather than seeing the vacant bed as a sad thing, she saw it as a new opportunity to make a new friend and so, after washing and dressing, she packed up her equipment and headed off to the Shifter Class.

Shifting between her Human and Fennec Form, Jesse arrived at her class in good time and with the day of upset and sadness behind her, she was ready and raring to see what Ven might have in stall for them that morning.

Returning to her human form, Jesse would twist the handle to the Shifter Class, looking around the vacant room before heading inside and finding her seat.

Gin couldn’t shake the vision he’d had the night before. Like normal, his dreams had been filled with visions of the future, possible outcomes that had yet to be determined or set in stone. Every vision was only a possible future or fate. But there had been one glimpse, one snippet that hadn’t sat right with him and now, as he sat in class, waiting for all the students to file in, he felt his uneasiness grow.

His dreams, ever turbulent, haunted him. Yes, they weren’t as intense or as awful as they had been now that he was beginning to learn how to manage the power, but that didn’t mean that there weren’t times when he was left raw and hurting from what he’d witnessed. He’d awoken in a cold sweat, panting heavily from the vision. Sokea, still a bit sick, had remained asleep beside him despite Gin’s reaction.

After slipping from the bed, Gin had taken a quick bath, changed into fresh clothes and kissed a sleeping Sokea goodbye before heading to class early. He hoped that his boyfriend would continue to take the day to rest, but he knew that if Sokea was feeling up for it, he would force himself to go to class despite any lingering symptoms of his cold.

Sighing, Gin frowned deeply. Closing his eyes, the image of a caged, white wolf, flashed in his mind. Shaking his head to rid his mind of the image, he opened his eyes. The wolf, the petite female with the pristine coat of white looked too much like a certain shifter he knew. The wolf looked so much like his friend that he had to wonder what the hell he’d seen. Was Otsanda in trouble? Was she in some kind of danger? He couldn’t be certain. But with each passing moment when she didn’t walk through the classroom doors he felt his uneasiness grow.

Grinding his teeth, he only hoped she was late, yet again, and that Reynard, her wonderful Guard Captain would escort her to class. If not, then he’d tell Ven of what he’d seen, and they’d investigate. He hoped he was over reacting, but something deep down told him that no, he’d seen the vision for a reason…

Yup, Ven could handle this. He could go through another day and try to keep his complaints to the minimum. He knew he became bothersome and repetitive every winter (Eli would probably something abut that was because he couldn’t do anything else). It said something that the weather was the most he could complain about though. They had to take care of preparations for the academy’s annual new year’s gala as well, but things have been going so well with that so far that Ven was almost worried

Waking up was a challenge, but he got up with enough time to spend breakfast with Gianna, leaving the house with one last kiss and walking the short distance to the academy. After making a quick stop to pick up this class’ notes, Ven finally arrived in class, greeting the students good morning before dropping his notes and discarding his outermost cloak. The chalkboard screeched loud enough for him and almost everyone else in the room to wince when he wrote down the some notes for the day’s lesson. He sent the students an apologetic look before turning around to get a quick headcount of all the students in the class, which had some rather notable absences.

”Have any of you heard from Sand, Kiss or Kaari recently?” he asked his students, a worried frown marring his face. "Anything from their roommates?" He hadn’t seen them around much recently, or smelled them on campus, especially Sand. He knew she was involved with the captain of the guard, but even she knew not to skip her classes like this. Some of his students obviously felt uneasy as well, Gin among them. He hoped he didn’t have to track them down later this evening.

Jesse had watched as Gin had entered, she had given the male a brief wave from her seat, a smile if it helped, but the wolf seemed lost in a world of his own, the expression on his face was one that was reminiscent of the times before when he was still suffering his nightmares...

It was a shame he hadn't acknowledged her, but this was a new day and she was determined not to let anything get her down. Her gaze would lift as Ven entered and she watched as he set his things down, taking off his coat before beginning to write up the day's notes on the chalkboard. She stifled a yelp at the screech from the chalk, but it soon passed and she uncovered her ears now noting the expression on Ven's face...

She would shake her head, "My roommate Tay moved out, but I think she went back to her Father's Farm," she was hopeful, but with the class lacking other well known students, her large ears flicked backwards as she began to wonder if there was a link? No. She couldn't do that. She was going to be hopeful, to look upon the day as new. There was nothing going to go wrong, everything was fine...right?

She dropped her gaze, taking up her quill and hoping that by writing down the notes on the board, she could quash any further concerns... Tay was fine. She had to be - she'd taken her coat.

Kaari typically doesn't enjoy coming to class, his sister usually has to come drag him out of his room in order to get him to go. Kaari has had no interest on improving his raiment, for he has no use for it. He's at no risk for going feral, his family was never of the primal nature. They were royalty, and Kaari just wanted to live peacefully as such. Alas that's a privilege most royalty can't even live.

Today, he decided to head to class on his own. Kaari didn't want to rely on Kissa for forever; and if he's going to have figure out how to socialize, he's going to have to figure it out without the assistance of his twin, starting off if people tried to talk to him in the hallway. As he arrived to class, he was relieved that no one actually tried to interact with him; though, he was soon puzzled to see that his sister was not already in class.

Peering around the room, Kaari spotted three looks of worry, he's painted enough of that emotion to spot it. In the midst of the silence, Kaari started to feel the worry as well. He was confused and didn't understand how to react; multiple students seemed to not have arrived in the classroom, including Kissa. Did... did something happen? Who-, when, no, where's Kissa? No.. Where's everybody? Kaari started to rehearse what he should say in this situation, he was worried, and he needed to know where his sister was. "Uhm... where's my sister? And the others?" Kaari's voice was noticeably shaky; his twin sister was the only person on the planet that understood him, and if she was missing, then Kaari had no one.

When Kissa awoke this morning to see the sun already up, she had something close to a panic attack. She was never late for Professor Akkerman's class. Kissa quickly had to throw on some clothes, brush her hair weakly, put it up into a messy bun, and run out of her dorm in shifter form. She had stopped by Kaari's dorm for a moment, but it seemed, and to the princess's relief, he had made his own way to class. But Kissa hardly had time to stop and be proud as she ran down the halls, receiving a few curious glances. It was probably weird to non-shifters, seeing a puma bounding down the halls like her life depended on it. Yes, shifters often headed to class in their shifted form, but it was still a shock to many first years. She unshifted just as she reached the classroom, panting. She took a moment to compose herself and straighten her clothes and hair before placing her hand on the doorknob and pushing open the door.

[ Enter Kissa to the Shifter Classroom ]

Kissa smelt her classmates before she could see them, Jesse, Gin, and Kaari. Gin had an odd scent about him, he seemed... on edge. But that was grumpy old Gin for you. She looked apologetically at her professor, who had just written something on the board. Kissa smiled a bit to try and break any awkwardness.

"Sorry I'm late everyone. I slept in." She says with a small laugh. She takes her seat beside Kaari and places her hand on his. He seemed worried, probably lost without her. Poor thing. Maybe it was for the best, though. Kaari needed to learn to survive in a social environment without her, and she may talk to Professor Akkerman after class to ask about skipping class to see how Kaari fares alone, as everyone who had been in the same room as the poor introverted boy knew how horrible he was at speaking to others.

Sadly, despite their previous interaction, Gin didn’t notice Jesse’s friendly wave. He was too caught up in his vision and the worry that was filling him. No sooner had Gin taken a seat and begun to tell himself that Sand was merely late, did Ven enter the room. It didn’t take long for Ven to get settled before he voiced concern for the whereabouts for not only Sand, but several other students. Frowning deeply, Gin felt a cold chill run through him. He knew this wasn’t good. If Ven was worried about Sand, then he knew that his vision had something to do with her absence.

Swallowing hard, Gin debated speaking up. He didn’t want to jump to any conclusions or worry any of his fellow classmates, but he needed to talk to Ven about this, soon. In short order, Kaari and Kissa arrived and set the majority of the class at ease – but Sand had still yet to arrive. Griping the arms rests of his chair, Gin ground his teeth and tried to think rationally about all of this but even as the class got under way, he just couldn’t concentrate. Needing to say something, he raised his hand and waited for Ven to call on him before he spoke.

“Professor, if you wouldn’t mind…I need to speak with you in private, after class.” He knew that it was a bit rude and impromptu, but he needed to know that Ven would see him after the lesson and speak with him. Hopefully, Ven would be able to read his body language and know that what he had to say was of great urgency and importance. With his request having been voiced, Gin tried to sit still the rest of class, but as hard as he tried he found himself twitching and fidgeting with anxiety.

The aura of unease and concern that suddenly manifested in the room quickly made Ven realise the mistake he made and he barely held in a wince as his students looked around at each other in worry. He hadn't meant to set them off, not when there was a chance that he was worrying unnecessarily (despite what his gut might have told him). Jesse spoke up about her roommate leaving and the slight undercurrent of fear in her voice made a him feel a twinge of guilt.

”I've heard about that too, I'm sure she'd fine,” he tried to assuage her, projecting reassuring confidence. It was just his luck that Kaari and soon, Kissa entered the room and the mood almost tangibly lightened. ”Kaari, Kissa, I'm glad you could make it,” he smiled, most of the tension easing from his frame. ”You both came in just in time for me to start.” Ven's eyes flicked back towards the door; Sand hadn't arrived yet but Ven didn't draw any more attention to it. He'd ask Kissa and the captain of the guard later, but at the moment, he didn't want to scare his students more.

A raised hand grabbed his attention and the first thing that Ven noted was that Gin looked ill, even worse than he did before he confronted him about his habits. He nodded when Gin asked to talk to him after class, but he didn't say anything beyond shooting him a concerned look. Gin wasn't usually this short, but something was clearly bothering the boy immensely and Ven had the sinking feeling that it had something to do with his nightmares.

Pushing aside his troubled thoughts with some difficulty, Ven directed a slightly strained smile at the class as a whole. ”Anyway, let's begin today's lesson...” Today's material was more challenging compared to last lesson, but Ven did his best to explain things properly. It was more theory-based rather than practical, so he dedicated most of the usual practical time to answer questions and to clear any lingering doubts the students might have. However, his worry buzzed in the back of his mind and some of the students could tell that Ven was distracted.

Once the lesson was done, Ven dismissed the class, watching as they filed out of the room. However, before Kissa could leave, he called out to her. ”Kissa, can you stay behind for a moment? Please? I'd like to ask you a quick question.” He turned hs head to meet Gin's eyes, indicating that he didn't forget. He doubted that Gin wanted to discuss whatever was plaguing him in front of an audience, but he needed to talk to Kissa about her roommate before she disappeared for the day.

Jesse's ears flicked up hopefully when Ven said that he felt Tay would be fine, but even though he tried to reinforce his words with a look of confidence, the overall feeling still left her wondering and until she perhaps received a letter or some form of confirmation that her roommate was alright, Jesse would hold some concern... Still, things began looking up when the siblings turned up - if she'd had a brother or sister, she would have been just as concerned as Kaari had been when the initial thoughts of the other seeming to have disappeared were considered...

She would keep her ears alert as Ven started the class - it was strange not to see Sand and she hoped perhaps like Kissa, she had maybe slept in? It wasn't unheard of - especially if she'd been out with Captain Reynard, but once again, their tutor seemed quite distracted and although she tried not to show it, she felt a little concerned...

When the lesson drew to a close, Jesse collected her things and moved to leave, her large ears twitching as Van requested that Kissa stayed back. Before she left, the Fennec Child would cast a glance towards Gin, she wanted to give him a wave of acknowledgement, but his whole aura told her it was best left to silence...

Putting on a brave face, Jesse took her leave of the classroom. She had plans to add the finishing touches to Silme's coat she had been making and with a few hours left of the daylight, now seemed the perfect time.

Kissa made sure to pay attention in class, as the lesson seemed a bit complicated. She was able to follow along with Ven, though. Kissa was curious at Gin's request in the middle of class, but she was silent about it. At the end of class, the princess was requested to stay after to talk to Ven. She tilted her head. What did he want to ask about? Now that she thought about it, the atmosphere had been odd when she entered class, everyone seemed somewhat nervous about something. She then remembered that Ven had seemed relieved when her and Kaari arrived, making her more curious on what was going on. Why was Ven on edge? Was he just worried?

"Sure!" She responded cheerfully, but her classmates could probably smell she was a bit nervous. Jesse left, and she seemed curious but stayed silent about it. Kissa walked over to Ven, looking at Kaari as if to say "I'll be right back."

"What did you want to ask about?"

Gin had barely made it through the lesson. He was so anxious that he could hardly concentrate on what they were supposed to be doing. It didn’t help that Sand hadn’t come to class, late or otherwise. Feeling the pit of dread in his stomach, Gin knew that something was wrong. Yeah, Sand had played hooky before, but with his vision fresh in his mind and the fact that Ven had asked if certain students had been seen, he knew that something was deeply, terribly wrong.

Fidgeting, he’d been ready to blurt out his fears to the entire class by the time Ven ended the lesson and dismissed the class for the day. Getting up and out of his seat, he’d been about to approach Ven and spill his guts when Ven asked Kissa to stay behind. It took everything in him not to growl at Ven. But as his Professor gave him a knowing look, indicating that he hadn’t forgotten about their need to meet, he felt some of his ire ease.

If Ven wasn’t his father figure and friend, Gin would have put up a big fuss. Instead, he crossed his arms over his chest, his ears going flat against his head as he took his seat once more and waited for Ven to deal with Kissa. Hopefully, Ven would only be asking Kissa about her recent attendance or something along those lines.

Sokea awoke in the morning with Gin not in the room; this sank Sokea's heart a bit but it was to be expected, today was a knit class day. Yawning, Sokea got up from his bed and got dressed. Sokea felt ill no longer, his symptoms all to have dissipated besides the ever-so-slightest runny nose. Stealing Gin's eyes for a moment, Sokea peered through his boyfriends vision. He seemed... fidgety. The slight vibrations of his eyes felt as such. He kept eyeballing the door, staring at it, then back at Ven over and over as if he was waiting for someone or something. This behavior wasn't really like Gin, something's off.

    -Enter Sokea into Shifter Classroom-

While walking in the hallway, Sokea forced Gin's eyes to move up and down three times, a little warning Sokea likes to give Gin whenever he's heading his way. Sokea strolled to the Mr. Ackkerman's classroom, and his eyes black and silver examined the room in search of his boyfriend. Upon finding him, Sokea's excited heart rested, seeing his boyfriend is always a overwhelming sensation for him.

Sokea ran towards the shifter, embracing him in his seat. Sokea had his arms wrapped around him for a good minute before releasing him. Taking a tiny step back, Sokea looked into his boyfriends eyes, and grabbed his hand. He could practically feel the anxiety coming off of Gin. "Gin... is there something wrong? Did you have a vision of eating vegetables?" Sokea's tone was obviously in worry, but he was calm. He wanted his boyfriend to be calm as well, hopefully his little joke could ease his boyfriend's mood.

The classroom was dutifully emptied and while Ven could sense that most of them were curious (and still a little ill at ease he noted with another twinge of guilt), they didn't say anything and soon, it was just him, Kissa and Gin in the room. Gin had got out of his seat as soon and ony grudgingly returned when he saw him talking to Kissa, looking like he was ready to jump put his skin any moment. Ven felt bad, but he really needed to clear this first before talking to the boy.

Kissa seemed flustered by his sudden request, and Ven couldn't blame her; it might have looked to be out of the blue. But she gamely stayed back and he gave her a small smile that hopefully put her at ease. ”I know that Sand is your roommate, have you seen her recently? She's missed some classes and I want to talk her about it, get her to catch up.”

Once he was finished talking to Kissa, he let her go back before going to join Gin and Sokea who entered the class sometime while he was talking to the princess.”Sokea, good to see you,” he greeted the other boy, but he didn't waste too much time on pleasantries as he didn't think Gin could stand it. ”Gin, what's going on? Are you okay?” His tone and posture was tense and worried and Ven couldn't keep the frown off his face; Gin wasn't usually this frantic and if that didn't scream that something was wrong, Ven didn't know what would.
