Souta's eyes momentarily searched for his sibling's location as she seemed to disappear right before him without a trace. In part because the others didn't seem to worried, but also because he had a good grasp on who his parents were. He pondered how much trouble Yuno might be in at the moment, before finally turning to follow Kenshin with little else to say on the topic.

Today was a strange day for Soon-ae. She awoke with the same want to drink, but for some reason she didn't want to get drunk like normal. Before leaving her home in The Landslide Abodes, she took a well sized sip and sat there for a while. Eventually, she had closed her eyes. She honestly had no idea what she was doing. She wasn't thinking about anything, she wasn't concerned with her surroundings, and she was kind of in a zen state of mind. She then made a hand seal and focused her chakra. Before she knew it, she was making many hand seals. When she got to the final seal, her chakra dispersed. Cool, calm, and collected, she sat there for a while longer before sighing and leaving her home. She wasn't sure where she was going, but she didn't really seem to care. "Today's gonna be a good day."
When Soon-ae returned home, she thought about the day she had. In all of the places she had been, every one of them gave her something. She wasn't quite sure, but she believed that something she received was strength. Soon-ae took a deep breath before making a hard choice. Calmly, she went over to her kitchen and poured out all her sake. She even took the hidden ones (panty drawer, couch, back window seal, under the bed, the wall etc) and dumped those too. "No more. I don't need it any more." Soon-ae sat on her bed and continued to meditate and practice her chakra control as her mind slowly drifted off to thoughts about the man in the headgear.
Initially, the returning outburst drew even more of the father's ire from within. He saw the tightening fists, the defiant look in her eyes and way she stood up to him... and it all struck a chord with him that she was right. The visage of a darkblue tengu manifsted behind him, his own eyes glowing the same color as their was a buzz of electricity. Pressure bore down on her as his power eeked out. Rare was it that Jay even considered punishing her, rare as how much time he had to spend with her, and the thought did cross his mind. His own mother and father would've taken their sandal across his head - they had done just that several times in the past, both to him AND his sister. It had taught them better than to beat their chests and bare their fangs at them. His nostril flared as the Gyuki's taunting laughter filled his mind. He closed his eyes, banishing the specter of chakra and the power emanating from him. He licked his lips, silencing the sound of the demon pushing him to act.
Instead, he put a large, heavy hand on the girl's head. "I'm your father, Yuno." His voice was far more level, but no less stern as he let his fingers stream through the green mess on her head. When had she gotten so big? "That means that I swell with pride when I read the reports of your success. Of course I wanted to congratulate you the moment I read... but you're old man has an entire village of people to protect, just like your mom has a hospital full of broken people to put back together. Being your father means a lot of missed opportunities and milestones because... because I have to be the first step and aegis against those who threaten not just Arashi but all of Rai no Kuni. It means... it means I was always going to be a bad father. I..." he moved to snatch the girl up like he always did when she was probably too young to properly remember, holding her upside down by her ankle in a movement so fast and effortless that - wait... why was he straining ever so slightly. She was never so heavy. So... so big. He grit his teeth a bit, shaking her to replace her tears with laughter and frustration. "It means that hearing you did something so stupidly dangerous like you did makes me worry about you. So how bout this." he would maneuver her to cradle her in his arms the same way he did his wife when he carried her into their home for the first time.
"I can promise to be a better daddy, but you've gotta make me a promise too. You gotta follow the rules. It's lame I know, but they exist to keep you from having the same ugly scars me and your aunt have on our necks. And... you have to stop talking your mother into letting you dye your hair." As he finished speaking, a leap dropped them down the two stories to the ground, the commotion barely garnering any attention at all. "So. You saved the Blooper's life?" he asked walking towards the ice cream shop across the street once there was a break in the hustle and bustle, all the while still holding the daughter he hadn't seen in two months of his own life.
It had been a few days since Soon-ae drank last. Ever since quitting, she's felt very strangely; as if there was something missing in her life. Recently, all she's been doing was training and drinking. Though she really did want to drink, she was fine without it. Now, drinking didn't feel necessary; only physical training at this point didn't either. Stretched out on her bed, Soon-ae laid there in thought. "Hmmm... Maybe I..." She rolled to her side and began to think of something different. Just then, a bird flew in and landed in her open window. Soon-ae was surprised. She went to touch the bird, expecting it to fly away but that wasn't the case. For some strange reason the bird let her pet it. Then it let out a chirp and flew off. "What a strange bird... Maybe... Was that...?" She couldn't explain how, but she's felt like she heard that sound before. Unable to remember, she inadvertently remembered a class from the academy. The class was in fuuinjutsu, and she remembered just how much she liked the class. "I think I still have some scrolls and ink somewhere around here..." After ten minutes of none stop looking, she was able to find the set. There wasn't much left however. Just enough for three of them. Soon-ae readied the ink. "Now let's see if I remember this..." She wrote out the seal and then grabbed one of the many kunai that she had bought the other day. She activated the enclosing technique. The scroll tried it best to pull in the kunai, but it failed. Bummed, Soon-ae looked over the scroll. "Duh Soon-ae." The inscription was a little off. She tried again and this time it worked like a charm. Just to be sure though, she used the unsealing technique to retrieve the kunai. Again worked like a charm. Excited, Soon-ae now had a new goal in mind. "Now, now class listen up! Today we are going to talk about summons..."

Her body seemed to freeze up under her father's pressure as fear took hold. She was reminded once again of the difference in their power. A burdensome self awareness for a child. As she stood there frozen it seemed like even a small breeze could topple her. She was weak. Then suddenly the manifestation of chakra behind her father vanished as he began to speak. The fear which had seen her nails slowly digging into her fist subsided somewhat but she still braced herself as he spoke with a sternness to his voice. She was still frozen as he spoke, his words going uninterrupted. She wanted to yell at him for it, to ask why he cared so much about all the others.
However soon she was snatched up by the ankle, turned upside down in the air. Yuno felt her anger melting away as laughter forced its way out. The lack of control over such emotions left her with a frustration that she could not maintain the anger when she wanted to so dearly do so. However nostalgia combined with fun to force it away. Soon enough she was cradled into his arms instead of hung by the ankle like in her youth. Her green eyes looked up at him as she wiped away her remaining tears. She'd missed him dearly.
Avoiding ugly scars was something Yuno could get behind even if she didn't feel like following the rules. Ruining her own beauty would be a damn shame. "Okay daddy," she muttered while looking away from his eyes. Her voice indicated that she wasn't pleased but she'd do it. However her interest level soon spiked when her dad asked about Toso. "Mhm! He was pinned down and couldn't move when this gross guy tried to penetrate him from behind with a rock spear. I rushed over and stabbed him twice with my rapier!" She spoke with a certain animated excitement as she recounted one of the events of her first real battle. "It didn't kill him though, he managed to throw off my aim and got away.... but it stopped him from attacking Toso!"
Jay marveled down at the youth in a way only a father could as she recounted the tale of her grand battle against the thugs. Lost in the eyes he'd fallen in love with in her mother that had been stained by his own starry and ever misty ones. Dulling the color enough he could see his part in her creation there just like in her defiance and strength. How much had he missed out on. How far had she come so fast? When did her hair get so long, why was she so big? Wait seriously how'd she grow so much.
Her retelling was just as the reports had stated, of course, but he pretended to be entirely surprised anyway. A few people recognized them, all of them adults who either knew the Kage was a busy man, or were keenly aware of the time spent between father and daughter being important. More than even running the entire village perhaps. All of those people simply avoided making more contact than a friendly wave if he met eyes with them on the trip they had embarked upon. "That's quite a story. If it were anyone but the Blooper, I'd be hard pressed to believe some thugs got the upper hand. But of course, he's got the worst luck. I might have to demote him just on pure virtue of fearing for his life. Lucky you decided to be defiant," Jay spoke to her. Still, he was wary of fanning any flames so he was quick to follow up.
"But even a princess who saves a life can end up grounded. Leave the more dangerous scraps to we the big guys till you can... uh... lift a whole house up out of the ground," he teased leaving out that she didn't necessarily have to do it with her hands. Upon ducking under the awning of the ice cream stand, Jay smiled at the owner in a mixture of warmth and pride, indicating to the little one. "I need something to make peace between a little girl and her papa. Give her whatever she wants, but better!" Jay challenged offering a chance for Yuno to speak. "I missed her graduation and first mission... so I'm rightfully overdue." he loudly whispered as a joke to the man before letting her down to make her choices from the cold display case that doubled as a deepfreezer for a myriad of colors and flavors. Right front and center? Neapolitan.

"It's true I swear!" she protested in a rather childlike manner. "I wasn't being defiant either, I just stumbled on instructions for a mission and thought I could help." Her voice sounded as if she truly believed what she was saying. Though in reality her motivations had been far more selfish. She'd wanted to prove her self, and indeed she did feel herself to above simple community labor. Though such were things that she wouldn't tell her father.
"Grounded? That degenerate Kenshin already did far worse." She wouldn't dare say what he did in public. Though the irritation in her voice was clear if not bordering on rage. What he'd done was a travesty of justice. She'd make him pay in due time, for now she had to bide her time and wait for the right moment to ask her father about joining the police. Still at the mention of making peace her countenance softened as her lips even grew into a smile. "oooh you're the best daddy!" Yuno's head turned to face the man behind the counter with a big grin, she loved ice cream. "I'll have three scoops of the Neapolitan please!"
Tezumari skipped into the massive cavern that housed the homes of Arashigakure's Ninja. As they made their way to their own abode, they noted, It is unusually quiet. sliding their front door open, they entered and headed towards the specialized training area, closing the door behind them.
Creating a clone, They set to work on their clan's famous techniques. Tezumari cloaked their hands in black elbow length shadows. Running their hands down the right side of their face, the shadows clung to it and cloaked half of their face in shadow.
Tezumari withdrew a Kunai from their coat. Examining it, they opened their other hand and twisted the shadows in to the shape of the kunai. Glancing back over at the original kunai, they coated it in shadows as well.
Releasing the shadows, they sent their shadow after the clone. As it connected, another shadow rose from behind the clone. This shadow wrapped around the clones neck but, withheld from squeezing hard enough to pop the clone right away.
They reached out and touched the shadow linking themselves to the clone. A large ripple and a wave from behind the clone drew it towards the original. By utilizing these two techniques in conjunction, I can modify it to be non-lethal.
Tezumari, finished with clone's purposes, Drew strands of shadows up around it. Viciously, they tore through the clone's body causing it to pop in a small breeze. Tezumari stretched then gathered their things and headed back to the dojo.

Hīryu opened his eyes. They were greeted with the same wooden ceiling he saw every morning. Sturdy as always. His ears could pick up a bird singing somewhere not too far off in the district. Turning his head, Hīryu could see out of his open window. He could see the mouth of the cave sprawling open, revealing the heart of Hidden Storm. Sitting up, and further standing, Hīryu walked toward the window in his boxers, leaning against it on his palms. A small blue bird fluttered near, singing it's song beautifully. Hīryu loved being greeted that way in the morning. He grabbed and held out a small nut from his counter, and reached out letting it balance in his palm. The small blue bird swooped down and grabbed the nut, fluttering away with it's reward. Closing his eyes and smiling, he let out a soft sigh of gratitude. Looking out of the window and into the housing district, Hīryu looked over the village. Children out playing, shop vendors selling their wares on the street, ninja taking care of their duties. The city was most definitely alive. Turning back to his home, Hīryu headed toward his closet and opened it, revealing his set of robes as well as his blade, Claw of the Dragon, in it's sheath.
After taking a few moments to get dressed, to eat, and stretch, Hīryu was prepared and ready to train. It had been some time since the weird happenings in the village lately had impeded his opportunities to go. The storm seems to have passed, as the village had resumed operating normally, and he walked out of the front door. With one last stretch, Hīryu raised his arms into the air, standing on his tip toes, trying to crack his back. As he came back to a resting position, he brought his fist down into his other open palm.
"Alright. It's time to train!" Hīryu said aloud to himself with a smile.
Placing one hand on the hilt of his sword, and his other on his hip, he began his journey towards the Dojo further toward the edge of the village. As he set out, Hīryu could see the Kage Office in the distance, the clear marker the dojo was nearby. The construction work of the exterior of the housing district being done. It wasn't the Hidden Mist village, but it definitely still felt like home.

She would summon her special blade by name and swing it around. She displayed her skill and technique with the red blade that was so very dear to her. Swings with one hand and two came from left to right, side to side, up and down and any other direction you could imagine. She continued this viewer-less display until she was comfortable and satisfied. Then, with a poof, a smile, and a ton of joy, Nora stepped outside the safety of her home and ventured off into the village that was hidden in the storm. With the fear of not knowing her history now gone, her goal was clear. Her focus was singular. He mind was set.

Hīryu strode along the street in to the housing district, entering the gaping maw of the cave that housed the many residences of Storm. As he walked down the street, a light breeze swept by, gently hokding strands if his hair aloft. As he came upon his home, Hīryu ascended the stairs to his third story dwelling.
Closing the door behind himself, Hīryu walked toward the center of the room and sat in front of his table that was laden with scrolls strew across the surface. He unrolled one and read the opening line. "Yuki Clan Techniques", followed by detailed descriptions of ninjutsu developed and passed down through the years to their descendants. The first technique he needed to study was the Blizzard's Bellow. The illustration depicted a shinobi hokding their arms forward, followed by one with white wind coming from the mouth. Hīryu mimicked the movement with his arms, making a mental picture of the technique. Continuing, the next technique was called "Certain-Kill Ice Spears", and it depicted a shinobi making a seal, followed by what appeared to be ice spikes coming up from the ground. Hīryu looked over at a rug on his floor, trying to visualize what it would look like to bring spikes of ice up from it. Returning his attention to the scroll, he scanned down to the next listed technique named "Protective Ice Done". The illustration showed a shinobi holding their arms forward similar to the previous one he had read, but instead of wind, a domed barrier of ice could be seen drawn instead, with emphasis on the arms. Hīryu held his arms up, still staring at the scroll, pretending to be casting the technique.
Hīryu rolled the Yuki scroll back up, tying the string to seal it, and placed it in the pile of scrolls to his left. "Studying can sure be tedious. I better eat something." Getting up, he headed to his fridge to grab a snack before continuing studying his clans secrets.

Hīryu closed the fridge door, and turned to walk back toward the table covered in scrolls. As he sat, Hīryu took a bite of a hard boiled egg. Grabbing a scroll with the signatory Uchiha fan printed on the face, Hīryu pulled the drawstring and opened the scroll. Taking another bite of his egg, Hīryu began to skim the scroll.
Coming to a part that looked interesting, Hīryu leaned forward, moyth full of egg, to get a better look at the name of the technique. "Hidden Projectile", it read. The illustration showed a demon wind shuriken with a shadow below it. Only, the shadow had a few faint lines running through it, a second shuriken hidden under the first. Hīryu had one, though he rarely ever used it. Continuing akong, he came to the next technique labeled "Storm God's Bayonetta". The picture shocked Hīryu at first, as a ghostly limb was depicted showing up and attacking an enemy, a minor version of the fabled Susano'o of his mother's Uchiha clan. Hīryu could feel the Uchiha chakra flowing through him, letting him know that he could do it. Ever more intrigued by the techniques of his clan, he read on. The next technique was called "Hidden Strike". Yet another extension of the Susano'o, the illustration depicted another ghostly arm, but can be used with uo to two. Unlike the former technique, these limbs stayed around. In awe, Hīryu began mentally preparing himself to try the technique. He was far too curious, and made a single seal woth his hands. After a moment of focusing his chakra, a large light blue arm erupted from a summoned ribcage around Hīryu, knocking over a chair, and scattering loose paper all over the room. Shocked by what he had managed, Hīryu released his focus and the arm vanished. "Whoa... That was intense. I think that's enough for now, I'll train some more in the morning."
After taking a while to clean his apartment, Hīryu was finalky ready for bed. Placing his sword against the wall and getting in to his pajamas, Hīryu got in bed and prepared to drift off to sleep.
