"Why be either?"
He was so struck by the choices his brother made, none of it made sense, but plenty of how Datura lived didn't make sense. His choice to live among others, so close, far to close to conduct a proper private life. Tras Bothair preferred to be isolated aside from his snake companions.
"Can we even go and see?" A fit was likely the best way to describe the situation that was before them. Unfortunately fits like these meant there could be cataclysmic results. If a mortal or two is consumed by the earth then so be it, but a feeling in the pit of his stomach suggested that a god or two might be a risk. If not more, he didn't trust the poll that he was mentally creating. "Don't you feel that? It's like an imaginary lock." He wasn't sure if he was imagining things - it certainly wouldn't have been the first time.
"We could make a best effort, but I think it'd be a waste." Tras wouldn't speak dishonestly about his opinions on this matter. There wasn't a thing he could do to ignore that feeling, but truthfully (ironic) he couldn't be sure his brother would even trust him. Even as he sat here and spoke to his sibling the prides could be effected by his domain.
The thought, though it had occurred to him, didn't bring him any desire to leave. The world was changing and his curiosity was getting the better of him. Even if that meant he had to stay near others to figure out what was happening.

Maua had been watching the chaos with a tilted head, but it wasn't until the blue striped lion, her half sibling stopped moving that she started to really pay attention to her surroundings. Her eyes narrowed knowingly and she slowly, ever so softly, moved closer to the king, waiting, watching. She, after all, knew the signs; that power that gods could never have, that many hissed and fought over.
True Sight.
She, herself, cared not for it; she had no use for it when she was so used to peeking inside mortal's hearts. She had no use for glimpses of the past or future, and had no need to bare her teeth or fight for such an ability, but given her mother's propensity to lay with mortals, she'd come in contact with the Sight on more than one occasion, and it was always interesting to see and hear what those blessed (or cursed) with it had to offer.
The goddess remain quiet until Boneknapper seemed to panic, and only then did she offer words, "He has Seen something," she said, "And is clearly upset by it. He should come to no harm though, rest at ease," another crack from the earth redirected her attention to the rift once more, but kept the king in the corner of her eye at all time, "He'll be fine, it's just a vision, and from the words... I would bet my immortal soul he's finally Seen what a certain lion did to these lands," she looked back at the lioness, her eyes cold, unnerving and strange, but then again... Maua's eyes usually were; it was a part of her domain and who she was. She could no more change herself than a scorpion could trade its stinger for flowers.
As the king spoke, the goddess finally neared him, putting her face near the large bushy mane'd lion in an attempt to calm him, block out stimuli from his sight and gather his attention on her, "Misae should be where she always is; at her cave. You, brother, should first rest," she stressed the word 'brother', unsure of if he knew or not, "Rest, gather your thoughts, and then approach the Queen Mother, but don't do so while your thoughts are a-flury... it'll cause distress, and that is not what you want. Do it slowly, be gentle with both her and yourself," she was unsure if Puzzle had understood her, or if he even knew what his vision had meant, but one thing was clear; it was time to go talk to mother.
That said, she gave Boneknapper one final look, nodded at them and turned to leave, "It is time I go find our mother. Things are finally starting to get interesting," And that said, she spread her wings, jumped into the air and vanished, following Muhali's scent, even as the earth cracked and shifted underneath her still.
