"That thing isn't going down. I need you to-" Veronica noticed the hurricane gusts of shadow energy conjuring up and she brought up a Detect shield around both of them to prevent the damage. She gritted her teeth in annoyance. "I don't have time for this and we don't have time for this. I want you to sink him down." she growled, able to feel the sandstorm crashing against the shield. "Use Earthquake." Veronica confirmed.

Havoc was wary, it would probably affect one or two other snagem members or their pokemon but Havoc had to trust she understood the risk. The Lucario waited for an opening and rushed out, accepting the pain from the Rhydon's attack as she focused on making an impact on the floor close to the Rhydon. With the weakened ground easily cracking into an Earthquake, some Weavile attacking from the side and Reno jumping on its head; Havoc hoped it wouldn't cause them to much damage. The ground below them began to rise on one side and sink down on the other.

As Veronica's shield eventually went down for good. She noticed Cosmo was no where to be seen. She had been keeping glances on her infected Zoroark but she knew there was little she could do. If she confronted him, he would rebel and then there would be two enemies to deal with. He was well known for popping out of his pokeball often just to make a comment. Even so, it couldn't wait any longer. Her priority needed to be at Cosmo now that the Rhydon's fall was imminent. There was a foul smell in the air, like toxic fumes from the damage that had been caused thus far. Veronica knew the Rhydon would still pack a punch and that it might not go down without some big explosion - but it was all the more reason to handle Cosmo now. She started heading to where she last saw Cosmo, hoping it was in the right direction. The sandstorm made it difficult to see where everyone was so even if someone needed help she wasn't able to tell where or who right away. She brought up a Detect shield when she could to avoid the damage. There were bits of debris and rock after so much chaos that some of the pieces flying around nipped at her legs and arms. With a careful look, you could notice some blood dripping here and there.

Cosmo began to hear dark voices, they all had such good ideas... but Cosmo felt he had a better one. First, he had stepped away to make sure no one focused on him, taking the long way around to the Snagems' back. Then he noticed a perfect target: a humanized Pachirisu, helping some other electric pokemon-human mix. He was disgusted by how someone could put others first. He creeped up behind her just enough to catch the scents of her pokemon. Then the Rhydon's sandstorm hit.

Tristen's Weavile had gone to attack, and there was just the Grovile to worry over; true pokemon had much better senses than human-pokemon mix, he knew. Although... he began to think, or maybe it was just the words he was hearing, some tiny Grovyle wasn't going to put a stop to him even if it noticed. The thought of crushing the Grovyle in the process seemed fun. So Cosmo went up to Rhyme... Only not as himself. He disguised himself as a Tyrannitar. Rhyme's Tyrannitar. So that when he got close enough, about 5 metres away, she wouldn't be so spooked. He kept his eyes locked on Rhyme, although he was ready to plummet on the Grovyle if needed. "Tyrr..." He played along, unable to hide a smirk.

Ulla watched as all of their Pokemon made a joint effort to put the Shadow Rhydon down. But, still to no luck. Even though most of the attacks were super effective, the monster didn't phase. Ulla bit her lower lip as the loose sand started to become a sand storm. The harsh winds made it hard for the little girl to even stand. Lycanroc ran to her side as he stood to her side so she could have some coverage and someone to hang onto. Ulla tapped into Fairy Pokemon's power as a pink circle that shined like glitter started to swirl around her as a sweet scent started to come off of it. She expanded the little swirl to be much larger to surround everyone as it got even larger as it ended up to be her Channeling Ability. Sparkly Swirl. She then focused it on the Rhydon to weaken it from its rage. "Rhydon! Please stop this! We know you are in a ton of pain, stop this so we can save you as well!" She shouted as she had ever intention to end this peacefully. But if this was going to go down like how it did like Shadow Mewtwo, she was ready for that as well.

Leon started to swipe away any bugs that he could off of Shiro before himself. He then looked at Beau as he was kicked away from the younger Snagem. Most of the bugs were taken off of them as he slid back and noticed an arm reaching out for Shiro. The Poison cradled Shiro close to him with one hand as he used his free hand to grab his black kunai as he stabbed downward on the arm to leave it stuck in the ground. He then let Shiro climb on his shoulder as the Alolan Vulpix looked mad that it tried to grab her. "Shiro Ice Beam." He said as the white fox shot a beam of ice at the arm. Leon quickly took off his kunai so it wouldn't be frozen with it as the ice beam started to go up the arm and lead to the main body.

Odd continued pounding on the inside of Baroque's empty form as the battle raged against the enemy Cofagrigus. "Let me out! We have to fight or it'll kill us!" Odd exclaimed, slamming his fists into Baroque's golden shell.

~Too strong~ Baroque replied, his voice ancient and powerful within Odd's soul but dry and as rough as sand. The Coffin Pokemon watched as his attack was turned against their allies. Only more proof of his assertion.

"It doesn't matter!" Odd countered, trying to force Baroque to open up and release him. "If we don't fight back, we're guaranteed to lose!" As the enemy Cofagrigus roared at them, attempting to share it's pain through it's scream, Baroque realized Odd was right. Snapping open, he felt Odd jump free, drawing his Artifact from his hip as he did. Shadowy hands shooting out of his inner self, Baroque produced a platform from his hands and, as Odd stepped onto it, he launched the Channeler toward the Cofagrigus opposite them. ~Win!~

As Odd flew through the air, he channeled Ghost energy into Wraith Harvest, the sickle with the crescent-shaped blade growing into a large scythe forged of Ghost energy. As demon priest drew within range and made to swing it, he, Cofagrigus(both of them) and possibly Terashi would hear the roar of an angry demon as his Devil Whisper was unleashed, Everyone else would hear little more than the "whoosh" of displaced air. Odd was already preparing to use Aberrant Exorcism after this. If he managed to so much as nick the disembodied Ghost, he could use that tiny taste of the Otherworldly creature's soul to force it into the confines of his Odd Keystone, after all.

~~~
Wren would manage to free himself from the shifting Shadow Pit through a combination of his own Channeling and the massive Stone Edge that Arkelos and his Pokemon created. Upon being lifted out of the sands, he would attempt another move to protect himself. He hated the way these Shadow Pokemon fought so hard and cared so little for their own wellbeing Moreso, he hated how the infection spread.
Winding springy vines from his artifact down his legs, he bounced in place for a moment as he released Cassava. Pointing to the Shadow Rhydon, he gave his order. "Use Strength Sap on it! It's gotten a big boost so you should be able to really weaken it but keep your distance and avoid it's attacks to the best of your ability." With the orders given, he'd made a hard bounce to compress his Queen's Heels and then jumped straight at Altissima. He needed to put a stop to her rampage so he could recall her. Diving into her midsection, he would drag her out of the sands of the Shadow Pit just as the Sandstorm kicked up.
Trainer and Pokemon would trade blows within the raging sands with Altissima not even using true attacks at this point other than an occasional Quiver Dance when Wren was distracted. Finally, with a single, well-time kick, the Channeler managed to slam his Queen's Heels into the Flowering Pokemon's stomach, the vines would compress tightly and send her reeling. Before she could even hit the floor, Wren had pulled her Nest Ball from his belt and recalled her at last, she too weakened to resist any longer.
By this time, Rhydon would find it's strength failing as orange baubles of energy were drawn from it, floating delicately toward the Skiploom atop the stone spire.
~~~

Lykas would be left weak after his attack, breathing heavily as he tried to catch his breath. He would attempt to use a Water Spout but as weak as he felt in the moment, he would barely achieve a weak stream no stronger than Water Gun.

So, as a contingency plan, he popped open a Pokeball at his belt and released Okeanos. The Clawitzer appeared from the bright light and looked around. "Aura Sphere!" Lykas directed, pointing at the Power Gem-coated, explosive Electro Ball. Okeanos nodded and, taking aim with his large claw and charging up Fighting-type energy, the vent at the back of his claw expelled a burst of air as the attack was fired, his Mega Launcher ability empowering the Aura Sphere with extra speed and power. If it managed to break through the Rock energy shell and reach the Minimite inside, they wouldn't stand much chance against a super effective attack buzzing through them.

Arkelos lies on the platform unconscious. His canines putting up defense after defense to protect him while he recovers.

A brief flash of images flow through Arkelos' mind, Shadows gathering, massive creature towering over what looked like dust, a nasty swarm closing in from all angle. Fever starts to take hold, shaking, anger, Arkelos' eyes open with a malice about him. Slowly gathering his strength, he climbs to his feet. Turns to see the towering Rhydon. "ENOUGH!" He screamed, as it echoed through the sandstorm.

Arcanine; Give that beast your Flamethrower.
Houndour; Let your a pulse of your darkest thoughts.
Poochyena, That Rhydon gave us a party foul! Make it hurt with Foul Play!
Furfrou: Give us your Voice; HYPER VOICE!
Rockruff: Rock Tomb, Bury it in this unholy landscape.
Riolu: Give it your ALL! BRING THE PAIN!! FINAL GAMBIT!

Arkleos' pokemon unleased their fullest fury. Each pokemon felt their trainers anger, and power. They let out thier best attacks. A massive cannon of infernos barreled toward the Rhydon. Houndour conjured a Pool of black mass, than shot it toward the Shadowfied Pokemon. Poochyena used the dark energy from Houndour to add to it's own; launching directly at Rhydon. Furfrou let out a howl unlike any other, it's voice carried with force. Rockruff used many of the boulders and debris and threw them at Rhydon, that each landing shook the ground around their impact point. Riolu mustered all force it could attain, Giving out ounce of energy, drawing it from all points of its body, swinging with one Colossal punch.

Arkelos Stood there, the sand and debris chipping away at his skin, his eyes glowed red with anger. He looks up, at the dark energy pulsing from a distances. Glows of blue, purple, green, and orange from different attacks light up the sandstorm.
Placing one foot infront of another Arkelos walks to the edge of the platform, and walks off. The descent battered and bruised, tearing at this skin. Arkelos' anger was more than his pain, the ground growing closer, closer, and closer; BOOOOM! In a could of dust, Arkelos vanished, sounds where muffled, strange, silence almost over took the battlefield. Than from the dust, Arkelos emerged, riding on a rock slide, but he was in control, using the rock he was surfing on the sand. HIs speed increased, he no longer cared about his own well being, no longer cares about the stress and strain his body is enduring. Some of his body seem like it was almost like rock.
"This needs to end, EVEN IF IT ENDS ME!" At the feet of the giant Shadow pokemon Arkelos uses Stone edge again, but this time it was like needles. Fifty to a hundred tiny stone edges were poking and picking at a excessively higher rate than normal. As if the sands Rhydon was standing on was being used for the stone edge. Arkelos' eyes got redder and anger with every attack. Some of the Stone Edge attacks became colossal pillagers again, slamming into the feet, but no where else.
"WE WILL BRING YOU DOWN! EVEN IF IT MEANS MY OWN LIFE!"
Arkelos continued to let out a brash series of attacks, in his anger.

There was so much stimuli going on, but Tristen was okay. She kept in line, following him. Both of them were okay but there was a lot going on. Grovyle met her with the others, his eyes searching her face. Rhyme kept his gaze a minute, nods. "He did before he...well...became this, I thi--"

"Grrr?"

Rhymes head turns and looks up towards the Tyrannitar. There's...something....she cant explain it. She'd seen that other pokemon had gone shadow...with that pulse...

Joshua growls and almost preps another ball; Rhydon's being taken care of but something doesn't feel right about the giant dinosaur Pokemon. He pulls his trainer behind him with a stern noise and glares up at her, as if uncertain about leaving his trainer to help with Tristens idea.

-----

Zwei noticed that a few other people would be joining him. No matter that made things easier to find and solve so they could get the job--

"Woah!!"
He manages to catch Salem before she drops in a hole. "Yea! Dont want to be falling over!" He chirps at the channeler and the other female, not realizing that he's not being spoken to.

But what concerns him is the poor thing, the gooey dragon tha tlooked like he needed help. He withdraws Salem back to her Pokeball and darts out of the way as he summons Weiss, his Glaceon.

"Icy wind, Weiss! Work with the cute Seal! Lets freeze from more than one spot!!" He chirps as the eveeelution agrees to help. He's on a mission, trying to locate that button or switch to help the team out!!

(Characters involved: Leon, Sub, Freth, Odd, Terashi, and Beau.)

Terashi's maneuver would go off without a hitch, the Psychic Channeler catching the mummy off guard with his 'clone' as it feebly punched at the hallow construct. While in mid-attack against his doppelganger Terashi would slash right through the mummy, lobbing off both arms as he dashed past it, the appendages falling to the ground with a light thud as sand leaked out of them. The faceless creature would turn and appear to stare at Terashi for awhile before it 'deflated' into a mess of bandages on the ground, the sand that was its actual form flowing out of it. That was one down.

-----

As Sub struggled with his own mummy he tried to call upon Griswold from his shadow to assist and defend him like normal. However, this would prove to be a poor choice as the man would soon realize the mummy's true target. Freth's Absol would come running and pounce on the mummy that was on top of Sub, the Disaster Pokemon biting down with a fierce bite causing it to flail around wildly as the Dark energy seeped into it. That was when Griswold believed to be the right moment to strike, the Forbidden Pokemon rising up out of Sub's shadow as the trio of more physical entities rolled around on the ground.

In that moment of struggle the mummy made its true intent known as it unraveled two strands of bandages and launched them not at Sub, not at Absol, nor even at Griswold but instead at the shadow he was attached to and rose out of. The bandages would dip into the shadow and the Spiritomb would give a look of shock before the bandages withdraw causing Griswold to be snatched back into the shadow. Once the bandages completely pulled out of Sub's shadow it had wrapped up in its grip Griswold's Odd Keystone, the mummy pulling it completely into its self. "No!" Sub cried out as he witnessed the theft, Freth's Absol finally getting the mummy off Sub as it pulled it off in its teeth though unfortunately not in time to prevent that Thief it had executed.

After being tossed to the side by Absol the mummy would squirm around a bit as tendrils of green and purple ghost energy rose up out of it. The bandages would reshape themselves in an erratic manner as the mummy took on a new form, still humanoid in shape however almost demonic as its hands were now hooked claws and its back hunched with 'spikes' of Ghost energy down it. The once blank faced mummy now had the twisted grin of a Spiritomb on it, sans the eyes. On the chest of the mummy one could now see Griswold's Odd Keystone embedded in it, the Spiritomb now enslaved by Cofagrigus and forced to do its bidding.

"Now I'm pissed..." Sub stated as he got up off the ground, giving Freth's Absol a 'thank you' pat on the side before Nevermore finally returned to him, landing on his shoulder and giving a squawk. "Don't hold back against this thing, Freth, we've wasted too much time already against this and now it's just pissed me off." With that said the ring on his left hand began to give off a dark glow, the artifact reaching out to Channel with Nevermore. "Go, Nevermore and I got you covered. Just bring me back that keystone." With a squawk from Nevermore the bird would flutter off Sub's shoulder and onto Freth's. With another squawked a murder of Murkrow rushed out from Nevermore and fluttered in all directions, a swarm of Nevermore copies now flapping around Freth and Absol to obscure their presence.

The mummified Griswold would wait no longer for its enemies to talk and began to rush towards Freth and Absol on all fours, slashing at them with an improvised 'Shadow Claw', its clawed mummified hand glowing with Ghost energy as it aimed to rack Freth across the chest, zigzagging around Absol to get to her. Of course her hybrid instincts would kick in but Freth would note they went a little further than the usual sense of 'something is wrong', instead a vision flashed in her mind, as if she briefly saw the mummified Spiritomb's assault from a point of view besides her own. It was Nevermore and its copies, they were sharing their sight with her via Psycho Shift and Sub's Channeling. Coupled with her own hybrid senses this should give her a grand advantage in avoiding whatever this thing could throw at her and get the upper hand for a quick put down.

In fact, these sudden insights alerted her to something she couldn't see alone nor something she would be able to detect with certainty with her senses what with so much going on. While the mummy appeared to be attacking head on it had prepared a second strike as a streamer of bandages was rising up from its back with a spike of Ghost energy gripped in it. On her own she could dodge the first claw with easy, the second surprise spike stab from overhead may have been a little harder to detect but thanks to the additional points of views from Murkrow she stood a better chance at subverting these surprise attack.

----

Leon was quick to take care of the mummified arm which had threatened to snatch up his little Shiro, having stabbed it in place and then allowing his faithful Pokemon freeze it solid so that it may do no further harm. How dare it try to come after such an innocent creature.

Thanks to Beau's quick thinking he was able to redirect a large majority of the Powder covered bugs towards the mummy which threatened them, the bugs biting in vain at the bandages wrapped pile of sand but that was not the extent of the butterfly man's plot. With Leon out of the way Beau would order Red Baron to execute the final phase of the plan and unleash an Ember upon the unsuspecting mummy, the result being an explosive ignition of the Powder covered bugs on it, the mummy its self going up in a burst of flames. The flames from the burning mummy would linger for long as the fire burnt away quickly at all that was flammable and by the time one could visually confirm the aftermath all that was left was a few strands of charred bandages and nothing else. That was two down and one to go.

----

Taken aback by Odd's sudden appearance and leap from his confines in his own Cofagrigus, the much larger and ancient one would act quick to retaliate with an attack of its own as its body was slashed across with Odd's Wraith Harvest sickle, the ghoulish creature letting out a pained moaned and even in its pained squirming it was quick to retaliate before Odd even had a chance to follow up as the fiend executed a Payback, sending a Dark energy infused stabbing hand straight through the semi-ethereal body of the Ghost Channeler. Sure, he could probably carry on with his plan to seal the Ghost away but now he had the tiny problem of being impaled with an arm of Dark energy. Perhaps some assistance would be desired.

-----

While the fights involving Odd, Freth, and Sub raged on, Beau, Terashi, and Leon stood victorious for a time, having dispatched their enemies and probably thought to join and assist the others, at least that was until their fallen enemies began to stir again. The two arms which Terashi had lopped off began to move first, squirming around before more bandages grew out of them and quickly grew into a full sized mummy, each of the arms gaining a whole new body. The original mummy would also regrow what it lost as new arms were formed out of bandages. Now instead of the one Terashi faced there were three fully reformed ones.

Things would not be any better on Leon's end as the frozen arm would suddenly shatter free from its confines and quickly regrow a full body, the mummy quick to join its comrades as it went to the side of the other three reformed mummies. Strangely enough though the mummy which Beau had burned away did not reform, its charred bandages laying there motionless, a piece of one harmlessly blowing away into the breeze.

The four restored mummies would stare down the trio of Terashi, Beau, and Leon, out numbering them by one. But that wasn't their biggest concern, these mummies actually seemed...bigger, as if they took on more sand to restore themselves. That wasn't good, not only could they regenerate but the more they did the bigger they got. Without further delay however the mummies went into action.

One mummy was quick to lash out at Red Baron, ripping opening its bandages and spewing from its gaping hole of a 'mouth' a deadly stream of Toxic and if it dared to avoid this a second mummy was quick to move in and lash out with its bandages attempting to bind it in place or distract it long enough for the Toxic to hit, the second mummy following it up with a Hex directly to the bird's mind. The third mummy would rush towards Beau at full sprint but stopping suddenly halfway to stomp its right foot into the ground which would disappear into the sand. The 'foot' would reappear behind Beau now reshaped as a hand and would attempt to snatch away Beauregard's Pokeballs with a sneaky Thief, if successfully pulling them under the ground and back to its side where they would be stored in its body.

As for the fourth mummy it decided to target Leon, the mummy running after him. Halfway towards his target the mummy would rip its self into two, the two halves quickly reforming into full selves in mid run, now a total of five of them. The two mummies would turn and come at Leon from different sides. One would sweep its leg at him from a great distance as it stretched out, aiming to trip him. The second stayed back and unleashed a blast of Psychic whether or not Leon was tripped up by the earlier kick or he dodge, the blast intended to send him hurtling into Terashi and thus making him yet again a projectile.

This certainly couldn't keep going on, they had wasted a lot of time fighting these things and they only seemed to get stronger, regenerate, and multiply at will the longer the fight went on. They needed something, anything, to put them down all at once otherwise they risked draining their manpower in a drawn out fight and risking their success against their true target, Ein. Plus they still had the ringleader of all this to worry about, who had just skewered their ally. This had to end now.

As the mummies reformed themselves, I realized what this was meant to be and wasn't having any of it. "The mummies are naught but distractions that will never end if we continue to focus on them," I shouted to the nearby Snagems. "We have to focus on the Confagrigus that spawned them!"

That said, since none of the newly formed mummies were going after me, that left me with an interesting opportunity, although it put the others at risk, as it seemed to try to surround them. Hoping to distract the mummies, I ran across them, leaving energy clones in front of each one of them ala Psion Split to hopefully get their attention. With that done, I zoomed in on Confagrigus and sought to attack it, but then realized that sending one of my Pokemon after it might be wiser. That said, I possessed no Dark-type Pokemon with which to pose a definite advantage over it, so brute force would be in order once more. As I drew near enough to Confagrigus, I let Reese out of his ball. "Reese, revv it up! Overheat!"

The Turtonator gave me a confused glance that reminded me that I only ever used that reference with Darien, but I didn't have time to contemplate it. "Just use Overheat, Reese," I reiterated, and the Dragon/Fire type understood, pushing a massive amount of Fire-type energy at the Ghost-type Pokemon controlling the mummies. With that done, I gave myself a second to look back at said mummies, wanting to see if my distraction did anything for my allies.

Abby stopped in her tracks when she and Ryan ran up on the Goodra, worried how it was just her and some guy she'd never met up against the fully evolved dragon. She wasn't about to shame her Deathrage heritage by giving up, however, letting her Stufful out of its ball. "Sorry, Fluffy, but I need your help again. Show this slimy dragon what for with Brutal Swing!" Abby ordered.

The Stufful complied, flinging its entire Dark-type energy-imbued body at Goodra at a high speed, hoping to overwhelm the dragon with a single strike. This might only serve to be wishful thinking, but Fluffy's attack was bound to at least deal a significant amount of damage.

Odd gasped as Cofagrigus tanked his attack and countered it with a stronger one of it's own. "Oh... Look at that, I've been impaled..." He quipped quietly as crimson ichor oozed from the newly formed hole in his torso along Cofagrigus' arm. His innate ability couldn't protect him from attacks like this one, unfortunately. He was, however, at least granted a small amount of resistance to the pain of the attack.

"What do you want?" He asked, grunting through the pain of the dark spear-like hand piercing his body. "What did Ein take from you? Talk to me... I won't have a choice but to seal you away if you keep fighting..." He groaned as his grip on his Artifact tightened, the energy cloaking it swirling inward to form a spiritual black hole, unraveling the Cofagrigus' soul from the place he'd cut it. If it didn't answer quickly and stop this fighting, it would find itself consumed by the Aberrant Exorcism, forced into the confines of the Channeler's Odd Keystone with the other souls already sealed away within.

(Characters involved: Keiko, Darts, Night, Lykas and Crystal.)

Keiko, empowered by Crystal's Helping Hand, would deliver a decisive blow on the buzzsaw and smack it into the ground with fierce might, causing it to 'shatter' back into the many minimites or magnebees which it was made up of. While most of the miniature Magnemites were knocked out by the attack a smaller portion quickly returned to the mutant Vespiquen's side. The Roar carried out by Sphynx would send the rest of the magnebees to Vespiquen's side, the mini drones caught off guard by the sudden roar but perhaps wouldn't be a second time. Those that lingered though were treated to a devastating and wide scale Pain Split thanks to Lykas, the 'bees' dropping all around him emass.

Thanks to Darts' quick thinking the drill made up of minimites would be delayed from boring through its targets and instead slowly started to work through the sheet of metal, that was until Carbink came forth and summoned forth a Gravity causing the constructed drill and fall to the ground and shatter back into the drones that made it up. The moment they fell was when Night came bounding over Darts and unleashed a powerful Fire Blast which the mutant Vespiquen barely had time to summon up the magnebees which made up the drill, using Defense Order to have them construct a shield to protect her from the Fire Blast, nearly every one of the 'bees' knocked out by the attack and falling to the ground.

After all was done and said the Vespiquen had barely a fourth of her original army of drones buzzing around her and when she gestured for more to come from her hive she would find that none arrived, the nest bound by pink chains of energy which denied any of its occupants to exit. Displeased with these turn of events the Vespiquen would let out a skin crawling metallic buzz screech, her Pressure ability bearing down on the Snagems, filling them with a sense of urgency and panic which for the weaker willed might make them feel helpless but for the others would cause them to expend more energy than necessary.

Upon raising her hand the queen would summon the last of her remaining drones to come together in a loose ball, the Magnemite swarming around and sparking with electricity, the group creating a large Electro Ball together which floated in mid air just above her palm. With a shimmer from her forehead magnet the mutant Vespiquen would use Power Gem to encase the Electro Ball minimite swarm in a sphere of crystalized Rock energy. Holding her prepared ball in one hand the queen would hurl it down at the Snagems which remained, the massive sphere larger than any of the Snagems. If any of them intended to stop it they would have to shatter the Power Gem shield first and even then the drones of the inside had a second layer of Electro Ball to protect them. A discerning eye could see that the attack was not intended to crush nor zap them but instead explode as the mini drones began to glow, all of them intending to Selfdestruct at once to create one massive bomb. Unless someone pulled something really crafty out and soon this was going to turn out really bad.
TerashiLeonGoken

Keiko would indeed feel the Pressure that the mutated Vespiquen was giving off, causing her Frustration aura to burn brighter and consume more energy as a result. Panicking, Keiko ran at the Vespiquen. The only plan of action she could come up with was punching it with her Frustration-empowered fists in the hopes of distracting it enough to either send the Electro Ball her way thus it also harming the Vespiquen - essentially sacrificing herself to save the other Snagems in the vicinity - or it losing enough focus for the Electro Ball to unravel. Not the safest course of action, but she didn't have any better ideas or means of fighting the mutated Pokemon - a consequence of not having any moves that did more for her than enhancing her strength and, in the case of the move she was currently using, her durability.
Requiem of Whyspers

Lykas would be left weak after his attack, breathing heavily as he tried to catch his breath. He would attempt to use a Water Spout but as weak as he felt in the moment, he would barely achieve a weak stream no stronger than Water Gun.

So, as a contingency plan, he popped open a Pokeball at his belt and released Okeanos. The Clawitzer appeared from the bright light and looked around. "Aura Sphere!" If it managed to break through the Rock energy shell and reach the Minimite inside, they wouldn't stand much chance against a super effective attack buzzing through them.

Pushing backwards, Darts casually discards the piece of sheet metal that protected him from being sheared in half a few moments ago with a metallic clang as the piece rolls off him onto the ground. Quickly he realizes he is being confronted a wild new predicament in the form of a giant bomb coalescing right on top of them. Keiko's heroic charge born of panic was either going to be their saving grace... or suicide. Grunting in annoyance and a bit of resigned respect at her tenacity and as the Clawitzer powered aura sphere appears from out of scene to attempt to crack the shell, the veteran gambler decides now is the time for a bit of calculated risk-taking.

Sliding a hand into his pocket, the Giratina hybrid retrieves a Pokeball and spins it out in front of him with a flick of his wrist, releasing a familiar sprightly smile with a burst of light from the capture capsule.

"Gar...?" The smile gives way to an agitated grunt of indifference as Darts' Gengar looks around at the facility they were in and the massive raging battle rolling all around them. Blearily, as though awoken from a deep sleep Gengar scratches its behind for a few moments with a small purple hand, before turning to look at its trainer, a sleepy puzzled look on its face now. "Gengar?"

"What do you mean, 'why do you always bring me out in these weird situations?' Now's not exactly the time to be concerned about your sleep schedule! Get over there and use Hypnosis on that... thing!" Darts shouts, pointing to where Keiko's assault was going to be coming from. Sighing, Gengar un-enthusiastically and slowly floats its way over to set in behind the Return. Languorous though it was, the ghost had a mean streak, and, glancing to make sure its trainer wasn't watching too carefully, the Gengar grins as it divines Darts' intent behind his command. Vespiquen had a lot of eyes, even as a robot, so the instant the mutant looked over here it would catch a full eyeful of Hypnosis. Gengar's eyes grow to enormous size, the ghost's form stretching as it begins utilizing its somniferous abilities, casting a restful influence in the potential direction it predicted the gaze of the Vespiquen to be drawn both from the Return and the enormous Aura Sphere explosion. Keiko had better not turn around though or it was slumber time, possibly a one way street.

”Reno Vantas”

”Not a Noise”

”Requiem of Whyspers”

”DignityPower”

”Blizzard120”

”Cecile Silverstone”

”Arkelos”

(Characters involved: Blizzard, Ulla, Rhyme, Veronica, Wren, Reno, Tristen, and Arkelos.)

Yet again Weavile went onto the offense, delivering a flurry of powerful Dark energy empowered blows upon the Shadow Rhydon and while the strikes obvious did damage, its claws leaving marks, the Shadow beast seemed unbothered by it and instead casually flung out an arm at Weavile to smack it away. Shadow Rhydone used Smack Down?

Next came Arkelos and his hounds with their barrage of attacks. A Flamethrower to the face that did little but annoy it but distracted it enough for a Dark Pulse to hit it in the side followed up by a Dark energy construct of its self to come at it and punch it with Foul Play. A Hyper Voice could cause to shudder a bit to prevent it from retaliating just leaving it open to the Rock Tomb which conjured up rocks around to keep its arms at its side at the moment. Next came Riolu, the little hound jumping off the rocks and slugging the beast with a powerful punch, the monster's head nudging to the side slightly from the impact. The finality of the assault came with Arkelos' biggest Stone Edge he could muster as numerous sharp rocks slammed into the beast one after another. Once all was done and said the Shadow Rhydon almost seemed winded and done for as its head slumped down. This would not last long however as suddenly it would throw its head back up and unleash an explosive Shadow Rave around it, pulsating waves of Shadow energy sweeping out of its body to cast away Arkelos and any of his Pokemon that were nearby. (Any Pokemon that physically assaulted Shadow Rhydon and were not purified are now Shadow Pokemon.)

While it appeared Arkelos' assault did not but anger it further soon they would all see that it did serve a purpose, the Rhydon actually taking a moment to recuperate for a moment after that as it just stood there and growled, a dazed look on its face. In that moment the monster appeared to hear something and slowly turned to see the Icicle Crash flying for it at a deadly pace and began to charge up energy in its mouth, likely a Hyper Beam to meet the projectile, however it had expended too much energy repelling Arkelos and his team and thus could not finish the attack in time. That was when a certain psychotic Psychic Channeler bound over it, grabbed its horn, and with his own weight and momentum along with the element of surprise snapped the Shadow Rhydon's mouth shut cutting off what was formed of the attempted attack and caused it to slump over, head pointed down. As soon as Reno let go it immediately went to look up but it was too late, the flying chunk of ice collided with its head before even had a chance to right its self, the force of the sudden impact sweeping it off its already imbalanced feet and causing to fall backwards onto the ground behind it with a fierce thud.

Veronica was quick to take this opportune moment as her Lucario leaped into action and slammed into the ground with fierce impact a few feet from the fallen Shadow beast, the earth shaking violently as it executed an Earthquake, the Shadow Rhydon squirming around in pain and anger on its back as it could do nothing but suffer the 'ride'.

Now completely vulnerable and no doubt the burst of energy and rage its Hyper Mode gave it starting to wear off, Joshua would dash forward and leap into action. The newly evolved Grovyle would pounce onto the Shadow Rhydon's chest as it laid on its back and with a cry let out a wave of white energy from its body, the Shadow Rhydon letting out a pained roar as it was brought down to the same amount of energy as the comparatively little Grovyle had. This action would indeed snap it completely out of Hyper Mode as its pupils returned to a mostly normal state and anyone sensitive to Shadow energy could sense that its energy had drastically diminished. It still felt like a Shadow Pokemon but right not barely stronger or no more dangerous than a regular Rhydon.

But was it ever that easy?

"Don...don...RHYDOOON!" The beast moaned a bit before letting out a roar, the ground shaking around them all as an Earthquake went off. Again, those sensitive to it would feel that out of nowhere its energy was returning to it, slowly at first but quickly picking up speed and with enough time it would be back to where it once was. The only thing that was slowing it down and preventing it from going back into Hyper Mode right away was Ulla's Sparkly Swirl, it did calm it down a bit but the new source of energy would soon override it. Wren's Skiploom would also delay the return of its strength with its much needed Strength Sap but even it couldn't sponge this much energy before it started to corrupt its self. Was it those machines from before? The one that robbed the Shadow energy from the other Rhydon? If so what was it using as a source? Only one Snagem knew for certain.

Up in the air, still suspended in his shadow chain cage, Blizzard would feel his energy being drained from him, the prison sphere shrinking and threatening to squeeze him. His Sheer Cold was still fully charge but even it was starting to lose some of its charge. The machines were now using Blizzard as a power source to feed the Shadow Rhydon. This might also explain how it knew Blizzard was coming, no doubt Ein has this whole area monitored and rigged to his advantage.

"Blizzard. I ran a simulation on your current predicament based off our data on Shadow Pokemon and their abilities. The Shadow Hold you find yourself in only prevents what is inside from escape, it does not prevent outside forces from coming in or acting on the imprisoned entity." GRAY spoke up from Blizzard's SNAG, hoping to give him an idea on what to do. If he couldn't get out and the only thing keeping this prison up was the Shadow Rhydon below, what if the two objects clashed together and set off his Sheer Cold as intended? Perhaps an outside force could move Blizzard to his target.

"WEA!" The Weavile yelped as it was smacked aside with great force, hard enough to clear the pit the Rhydon made, tumble a bit, then finally come to rest. To say that Weavile was not feeling that good would be a mild understatement.

"Weavile!" Tristen shouted. While Tristen had the feeling that Weavile getting batted aside was inevitable, it pretty much in the end amounted to nothing. At least at first. With everyone's subsequent attacks, it looked as if the upper hand was getting gained...but it was hard as it was to get that point, the Rhydon would show it was all for naught. The Rhydon, somehow, was getting a second wind, much to the boy's dismay. "What do we have to do?" Tristen said, practically in disbelief.

Back up above, still suspended in the air and locked in, I wasn't feeling too hot. The Sheer Cold charge was starting to fade out of my hands. "Oh...blast it...that's...what the hell?" When GRAY started to come on over my SNAG, I could only make a face of disdain. "With your seemingly infinite knowledge, did it ever occur to you that this might be better off told to the OTHERS INSTEAD OF ME!? It's not like I'd be able to tell them in my current predicament! Ugh...I can't..." Between the Rhydon starting to drain me, and the focus its taking to maintain the massive attack, I had no choice. Stopping the charge, I let the Sheer Cold dissipate in my hands...I couldn't maintain it any longer.

Tristen took notice from below. The blue shine above...it died out. Tristen's eyes virtually widened in horror, suddenly starting to fear the worst.

At this rate, there'd be nothing left for this Rhydon to take. I was practically a battery to this thing, somehow. Everyone is trying to get the better of the Rhydon in hoping that enough of a pummeling would get me out but in the end its only making it worse. Was there no way out for me?

I tried to think as a wave of fatigue was starting to overtake me. The tendrils that ensnared and made my proverbial cage should still lead into that Rhydon, which would perhaps be the only way it could still drain me like it is. It doesn't have the benefits of some grass types or whatever that could drain a target remotely like with Leech Seed for example, meaning the Shadow Hold is for intents and purposes tethered to the Rhydon. Perhaps running through the shifting underground and out the surface to reach up and keep me ensnared. I looked down towards the base of the battlefield...I should be within range, I think. Either way, better use what time I got instead of letting the Rhydon get the better of me in the end.

I focused a bit, then gave a wave of my hand. At the base, several pillars of ice went to impale the Shadow Hold tendrils. "Screw...this thing..." I said, clinching my fist. The newly formed, yet desperate, Ancientpower attack detonates, with me hoping that it'd sever the connection.

----------------

Meanwhile, Freth had her own problems. The opposing ghost types are actually taking prisoners and in essence converting them into soldiers, Sub's Spiritomb being a present victim. Somehow the Cofagrigus's ability was super-charged...which considering this is Ein's territory, not surprising. Though that being said, that she knew of, such an ability still could have affected Dark types so...could it not now? Unless it was specifically made to counter Sub and his connection to his, in particular. Again, wouldn't be surprising considering the nemesis in question.

She then immediately took notice to Griswold making the rush for her and as she got ready, it was as if all time stopped for her suddenly. Instant flashes of images appeared before her...it was a weird experience, as if she herself had her mind expanded through the cosmos. The various attacks, speed, angles, she knew what was coming and how coming from Griswold. She saw all angles how Griswold was being puppeted, and how vulnerable the puppeteer was. "Absol, Double Team!" Freth shouted as she dodged out of the way of the attacks. The Absol split apart into several images as Griswold came through at least a couple of them.

"Absol! Night Slash! Get the Cofagrigus!" Freth then shouted from her new position. The copies disappeared, revealing that the Absol was now behind the Spiritomb and made the hard mad dash for the ghostly coffin Pokemon. Its forelegs and the scythe like horn on the Absol's head lit up with an ebony glow. The Absol leaped then came down on the mummy, unleashing essentially a disaster of its own against the opposing ghost.

The only indication that Vespiquen's Pressure effected Night was the slight stumble backwards as it began bearing down on her. However, the momentary weakness was short-lived as Night's lips pulled back in a vicious grin. Though, it'd probably be more accurate to call it a showing of teeth than any sort of smile or grin, "Someone call an exterminator?"

Without a second thought, the Ninetales rushed towards the Vespiquen. It wouldn't take her long to catch up to Keiko, to which one of Night's tails would, acting as a whip, reach out and strike the other girl's own tail as she passed, "Hey there Fluffbutt. Seems kind of a dangerous place for a cute little bunny like yourself. Maybe you should hold back and see how a real predator works.

With a laugh that seemed borderline maniacal, Night launched herself towards the Vespiquen, throwing blast after blast of fire at her. "One extra crispy Vespiquen, coming right up!"

Beau would look towards the two other Snagems next to him and the other bevy of mummies that had just recovered. Except....it seemed that there was one that hadn't quite recovered. And that was the one he had blown to bits. Interesting.....except, as he reached towards his pocket, he found his Pokeballs escaping to the chest cavity of one of the mummies. Well then, its looks like it might be time for this idea to be even more reckless and painful than expected. Oh well, right about now seemed like hero time. While he couldn't exactly stop any of the incoming attacks, Beau knew that he could at least have two of the mummies kept still by their focus on Red Baron while he dealt with his one and the two that were messing with Leon.

So his first move was rush towards the thieving little mummy that had all of his Pokeballs, a few puffs of Powder drifting towards the two mummies next to Leon as he did so. And he moved towards his mummy, Beau would grab one thing out of his pocket that he had managed to keep before clicking it open and striking the flint. And with that, Beau would thrust his hand and the lit lighter into the mummy's chest, detonating a large explosion in the thing that sent him and his supplies flying backwards. Gritting his teeth over his severely burned arm, Beau would kick one of his Pokeballs and look at the Charmander he released. "Zippo, Flamethrower the left mummy doing the leg sweep." Beau told the Pokemon, zipping off towards the second one attempting to unleash a Psychic blast with his lighter now in his other hand.

As the Charmander's Flamethrower reached the sweeping mummy, the slowly scattering Powder cloud would be caught alongside the flames, giving a decent explosion alongside the direct dose of flames that the mummy was receiving. And Beau would once again release a dose of Powder from his left hand to gather with the other small burst he had sent at this mummy. And with that, Beau would once again strike his lighter and ignite another massive explosion right next to this mummy. Thrown across the area again, Beau would be gritting his teeth again over the now severe burns that he was sporting across both of his arms. But he still had two targets, two useless hands, and two very operational legs. So he had this stuff on lock.

Rushing towards the last two mummies, Beau would yell at his two Pokemon, "Unleash all the fire you can, Zippo! Same to you, Red Baron!" The two Pokemon would respond with massive gouts of flames that rushed towards the two mummies and began to slowly erode away at them. And that process was rapidly accelerated as Beau reached the two mummies with Powder streaming out of both legs and gave the pair a flying dive kick that soon transitioned into small explosive firestorm as the Powder ignited to consume the two mummies, Red Baron, Zippo and Beau.

It would take a minute after the bright flash to find Beau, but there he was, in the middle of soot-covered ground and with all of his limbs showing some severe signs of burn damage. But hopefully, his little suicide rush had done its job and had taken out all of the mummies that he could reach. Because otherwise that was some severe burns to get for a whiff.

Crystal narrowed her eyes, it seemed plenty of people were going to attack the queen herself, but no one to deal with the Power Gemmed Electro Ball. She looked down at Demon Wing’s Pokéball, growling. He could deal with the Minimites quite well, but the Power Gem was an issue. “Oi, furball,” a voice called over to her, Aile’s voice to be specific.

“Oh gee. What I love to be called. What,” Crystal snapped back, ears laying back.

“Sorry, just came out. Also not too familiar with you or your ‘mons, my apologies. You have anything to deal with that ball of pain there?”

“Charizard. Pyromanic Charizard. He’d have to get through the Power Gem, though.”

Aile tilted her head, then nodded. “I might have the answer for that. How big is that fire?”

“Big. He’s been around a time or two, he’s got some tricks,” the hybrid chuckled, turning back to the ball.

“Right then. Eisley’s gonna have to drill in and out rather quickly.” Aile threw out her Safari Ball, sending out the drilling mole known as Eisley. “Eisley, you’re going to have to break that Power Gem, think you can do it?” A leer was all the answer she needed, as he gave her a seriously sort of look. A black Charizard would soon appear at his side, though, as Crystal sent out her dragon.

“Demon Wing, can you give him a boost?” One nod later and a corresponding nod from Aile, and the Charizard would get prepared to throw him.

“Get him into a spin, okay? Help out that momentum. Eisley, once you’re in the air, start up a Horn Drill. And get out of there as soon as you can after you break the Power Gem.”

“Do as she says with the launch. Give him a few seconds after he breaks the casing, then use Blast Burn, Demon Wing. Ready?” The Charizard would nod, a grin starting to show on his snout as much as possible.

“Launch!” Aile would cry, pointing forward. Demon Wing would then climb into the air holding Eisley before throwing him wish a spin. Eisley would bring his arms up to his head in a way to spin himself further, putting plenty of energy into that Horn Drill to break the Power Gem casing. Hopefully, as long as that worked out, after a couple seconds, the fire lizard would take a deep breath, letting out one of the most powerful blasts of fire any fire type could create, a Blast Burn. Hopefully things went to plan, and the others could neutralize the Magniqueen. There was going to be a good wait before Demon Wing could summon one of those again.

Havoc felt the exhaustion seeping in as the Rhydon only surged up with even more energy than ever before. Havoc jumped back as it exploded again. She tried to look around but Veronica wasn't in sight. The Lucario sighed, starting to feel a sense of loss and discouragement. It took several moments for the Lucario to feel as though she could get back into the fight again. This was something she had to deal with herself and she wasn't sure how to go about it. Her attack had been slightly diminished with the previous attacks. It wasn't the time to think about brute force.

Havoc took a moment to observe the energy flows in the area, namely, the one where the Rhydon got his from. There was a different aura flowing into the Rhydon... a blue source up above that started to fade out. It was difficult to tell at first but Havoc was almost certain this was a friend, not just the enemy's battery. It was Blizzard and he was clearly getting weaker. There was only one thing to do.

Havoc rushed towards Blizzard, dashing passed his pillars. She jumped up the metal bars, wall and the ship's debris until reaching Blizzard close enough to consult with him, "Lu...?" she asked Blizzard, hoping he would tell Havoc what to do as Veronica seemed to be missing in action. The Lucario would blink several times, waiting.

It was perfect. The Rhydon would get back up again and create a diversion for Cosmo to create as much chaos as he could. First Rhyme, then the rest of them. Cosmo could feel himself being filled with more and more desire to destroy everything and everyone. The virus made it feel satisfying to kill.

His illusion began to glitch out. The transition of the Tyranitar to the Zoroark was rather blurred. At first, the scales on the Tyranitar's back started to become purple fur that stood up with a frizz. His snout extended out with larger teeth and drool. His arms became ridiculously longer and what was more like t-rex's tiny hands became murderous claws. His height didn't change much but his tail fluffed up in purple and black fur. However all that change wouldn't take longer than a second. Just as obvious as the illusion was after his change, one could also say Cosmo had almost perfected his ability to copy another pokemon's look with this situation.

Cosmo launched himself forward with three steps in order to strike at Rhyme with accuracy, aiming for the neck. The Zoroark used Night Daze to remain a blur in his steps. He snarled, spitting out what drool was on the way and knowing he would have to take a step back afterwards to plan his next attack. There would only be two seconds to react. Although it would be difficult to target him in his own dark move at a rapid speed, maybe someone could step in between him and Rhyme.
Not a Noise

....

User Image Moments after he finished his attack, the Zoroark's darkness from the Night Daze would pass by with the wind, taking away the Rhydon's energy for a moment and the scene would become more clear. However Cosmo wouldn't have a moment to enjoy his handy work. He would find himself suddenly out of breath and getting pulled back; he almost lost his step and nearly fell. His head turned back slightly, just enough for his eyes to check back and see what force was pulling on his neck. It was Veronica.
Cosmo hesitated to do anything. Should he turn and attack? Struggle his way out and escape? He wasn't sure. Her surprise attack had made him snap out of the voices in his head for a short moment in order to try and determine the right choice. Then it was the lack of air to his brain that made it hard to think. He tried to growl, but it was cut short. When he decided to attack and push her away, it didn't work. He lacked the strength and didn't understand how Veronica could possible be stronger... then he passed out.

Veronica didn't have it easy. It took all of her determination to take out the Zoroark so effectively without troubling him or anyone else any further. When Cosmo's body felt heavy due to getting knocked out, Veronica fell along with him to the ground. She was careful to not let Cosmo hit the ground too hard, though only making it a tougher fall for her. They crashed. "******** my life." she tried to calm down from the adrenaline rush of taking out her own pokemon. It was scary and chilling. It had been ages since one of her pokemon had become such a menace and those memories were nightmares. Slowly, she finally managed to pull out Cosmo's pokeball and return him.

"Rhyme...?" She called out, forcing herself to get back up as she felt worn out from the annoyance of the Rhydon that wouldn't die.
