Thread streaked down, faster than Slidrianth could properly react! He backwinged with alarm, only to bark with pain as Thread scored the tip of his wing. D'zrak quickly guided them Between. Just a scratch! You're alright.

You may take the next hit, then. The bronze dragon seethed.

The wind buffeted Slidrianth unexpectedly, and he yelped again as Thread bit into his soft, beautiful hide. The cold of Between was enough to kill the offending strands off, but there was no doubt that the bronze dragon was quite distressed.

D'zrak's calm confidence was the only thing keeping Slidrianth from darting back to safety. They unexpectedly hit a thermal, and the bronze almost panicked--before remembering himself and used his large wings to maneuver about safely.

A quick jet of flame was more than enough to reduce another bit of Thread to ash--only for the wind to blow it right back at them. Slidrianth shivered with unhappiness, and D'zrak quietly swore as it struck his own cheek. The pair quickly assessed one another before determining that they were both alright.

How did you eat so much Firestone so quickly? M'nr chided his dragon with some amusement, Cordrath rumbling in answer. I'm a large dragon, M'nrmine he asserted as he called below to have more brought to them.

Fortunately for them, Cordrath was a large and strong dragon and a big wind thermal wouldn't be putting them out too badly on this, or any day.

Cordrath felt good, flaming down one of the clumps of Thread that had made it through with great pride. M'nr puffed his chest out a bit as well. Good. We'll keep this up, then. As though the slowly darkening sky meant nothing.

It seemed another Wingmate wasn't faring so well and the two dove to flame an offending clump of Thread that was too close to a wingmate. Stay safe! Cordrath said as they continued on.

It seemed not everybody was on top of it as they'd have liked - both M'nr and Cordrath for not noticing the tangle until it was upon them, but also those who hadn't gotten it as well. Ow!

Fortunately, however, it wasn't as bad as it had initially looked once they Betweened to a safer position.

Ash was awful in the eyes, and E'mel instinctively lifted an arm to guard his face as he moved Brieteth away from it. At least everything seemed to be relatively alright, even if his dragon was now a little riled.

Brieteth was a dainty little dragon, and a pointed thermal easily threw them off their planned course, causing the little dragon to keen with pain as he brushed against some Thread. E'mel rubbed down one of his dragon's shoulders in an attempt to comfort him before blinking them back into position.

While it could have been a worse hit, they'd not been prepared to take it and now Brieteth throbbed painfully while E'mel's arm stung. We can shake this off, buddy. We're OK.

He'd not noticed he was low - likely too distracted by the hits that he and Brieteth had taken as well as that throb of distracting pain. Brieteth reached out to see about getting a new bag and they were rewarded near immediately for the request.

After the break to restock their stone, Brieteth was actually feeling really good. Which was a relief to E'mel, who took a moment to take a quick look over the rest of his Wingmates to see how they were holding up.
