It was time for the second object, and as soon as it was held up Haveli knew what it was. She could feel Sathanaseth's confusion over it despite Haveli have held one up only a short bit ago, but from the looks of it this was shaped different than the one that his sister had been shown. "It's a tuber."

Her nose wrinkled up a bit just mentioning the name.

But V'ek was already familiar with Nimiseth's proclivities, and because of that he wasn't so sure. He closed his eyes beneath the blindfold and tried to concentrate, but all he could see was food.

"I can't be certain." It pained him to admit. "I think we should move on."

Round three, they were about halfway done. Sathanaseth was doing good, or so Haveli thought, and she sent waves of reassurance to him. Perhaps she shouldn't have though, as whatever it was that was being held up more or less blurred together into a single thing. All she could make out was something wide and long, but the texture of it or anything else that might help was not fully visible.

"...a blanket?" That's what it seemed like - had there been a blanket inside the bucket? To her side she felt Sathanaseth's energy shift with annoyance - was he getting tired of this so soon? He was young yet, after all.

So they'd gotten it wrong after all. Haveli frowned a little at the irritation she felt in Sathanaseth for his mistake, or was he irritated for more obvious reasons? Either way they had only a few more objects to go and she needed him to focus, which meant a soft reminder was given that hey - this wasn't a test. If they messed up now they could always practice again later.

It was time for the fourth object, and Haveli waited for it to be shown. The object came into her mind and at first it was just like before, she couldn't tell, though a few more details came in as her lifemate worked to concentrate on what he was seeing. Was what...a buckle? A larger one, and several...ah, she knew what it was. "It's a belt." She said it with confidence, knowing Sathanaseth hadn't led her astray this time.

"Oh!"

This image was as sharp as the last one was dull. It seemed that oiling ranked pretty high on Nimiseth's list of favorite things.

"That's an oiling brush." This rapid success took away a bit of the sting of their last blunder, without a doubt.

Nimiseth was confused, that much was clear. This thing wasn't for eating or oiling or flying, and on top of that, he had never seen it before in his life. He tried to focus on the actual bits and pieces that made it up—smooth, white rectangle, little red diamonds, flat—instead of identifying it himself, and the blue was rewarded by a satisfied spark of recognition.

"A playing card. What a strange item to include."

This was the last object and Haveli was ready. Sathanaseth was too, apparently, for as soon as it was held up it instantly popped into her mind loud and clear. A snicker found itself on the way to her mouth, memories of the touching and a certain egg's demands no doubt helping with that. "A sandal. It's got to be a sandal."

She waited for the confirmation before removing her blindfold, but she knew they must have done somewhat decently? Even though Yunara and Ardoxshoth had probably doubled their score with their all correct guesses, this was still very much a feather in their caps. Sathanaseth had managed to remain calm enough to get through the entire lesson without blurring her vision, and they knew what they needed to improve on. It was a win/win siutation as far as Haveli could tell.

Haveli removed her blindfold and placed a loving hand on Sathanaseth's head, pleased with the outcome of everything. "We'll have to work on textures, won't we?" Her dragon have the mental equivalent of a shrug at whatever a texture was, but he was down for learning more if it meant becoming better than everyone else at it. It wasn't a matter of pride, not really, but more that he just felt he had to be good.

"Thanks for partnering with us Yunara, Adroxshoth. You made the lesson quite enjoyable."
