2. As you're flaming down some Thread, a gust of wind suddenly pushes the remaining cloud back at you and your dragon. You've no choice but to blink Between to avoid it, and appear higher up, missing the clump. The rest of the thread falls down towards the lower altitude. [+1 Between Accuracy]

While Ar'ad was keeping an eye below, Turoth caught sight of a cloud that had been pushed out of his reach returning at an alarming speed. Ar'ad snapped his head up as the saw the mental picture from the bronze and together they focused on jumping Between to get out of the way. There was no time to flame. As they reappeared they hoped no one below would be injured by what they'd missed.

The wind was almost as bad a foe as the Thread and for a few minutes the pair had to focus on flying rather than flaming. They weaved and dodged but did catch some of the floating tendrils, forcing them Between a few more times.

Edalla and Moilath had been doing fairly well for the first part of the hour, however the wind was trying to tear them from the sky now. Edalla knew her green was doing everything she could to fight against the wind. She patted her neck gently.

You are doing so well, Moilath, keep it up,she thought to her encouragingly.

I am certainly trying my best,Moilath replied.

Edalla allowed Moilath to continue to deal with the wind, quite proud of her green. She noticed there was no Thread to deal with around them for the moment. She kept her eyes peeled for any issues, but she was glad for this calmness for now.

I will take the wind over Thread. I am glad the wings higher up are doing so well,Moilath noted. She felt her rider's agreement.

Edalla didn't get to relax for long, as she had to get Moilath back to flaming thread. While they were focused on that, that she almost missed a clump being blown up at them from below them.

Moilath, between...quickly,she instructed her green. She made sure to give the green the proper coordinates, as they popped between. When they reappeared a moment later, they were safe.

That was a little too close, Mine. Thank you,Moilath thought gratefully to her rider.

Edalla could tell her little green was starting to tire, though she was doing her best not to show it. They were dancing in the sky and dealing with the wind, not to mention Threadfall itself. It was good they had had a moment to breathe, since now they were in the thick of it. She felt Moilath coming up from a dive, but some wind decided to throw them into some thread.

Ahh!Moilath cried, right before Edalla ordered them into Between. When they came back out a moment later, Moilath's tail stung, but the now frozen Thread was crumbling off. Edalla made sure she was okay, which she assured her rider she was, just in some pain.

Edalla was paying attention to anything else that might jump at them or they would be blown into. Unfortunately, a strand of Thread managed to sneak past her notice and hit Moilath. She didn't know it had until she felt the mental pain in her green's wing. She had Moilath snap Between quickly, to dull the pain and take care of any Thread that remained, before they came back out. Moilath worked on flaming any of the nearby thread as they came back.

You okay?she asked.

I will be, it could have been worse,Moilath replied. She hid the pain as best as she could, to keep her rider from worrying too much about her.

Hour 1, Round 2 - Wingsecond Roll

7
6-23. There's a lot of chaos going on. Focusing on fighting Thread and getting updates with what's happening to your Wing leads to a moments inattentiveness. If a Wingleader you lead your entire wing out of formation, which puts them right into worsening wind shear! Though you are quick to right this mistake, the damage is done. Quote 3 Wingmates and have them lose -5 HP apiece! If a Wingsecond you wind up missing your Wingleaders command to change formation. Instead, as you come out of Between flaming, you find yourself flaming down one of your wingmates instead! Quote a Single Wingmate and have them lose -5 HP!

As V'brel ordered a formation change, J'lel and their green were Between, positioning themselves to flame a piece of Thread. Instead, as they emerged from the darkness, the green dragon opened her maw and flamed Edalla and Moilath instead. With a scream of despair, the regretful green veered away, sending countless apologies to the other pair.

Dea and #Teddy#
Edalla and Moilath suffer -5 HP due to bad positioning from their wingsecond, J'lel and their green. =(

Things didn't go well for I'tex, when they returned to Star Flame in low altitude. It seemed they missed the call for a formation change, and ended up flaming Nonami and Negoncath instead. Shards!

As Koruika and Orokath rotated into the low-altitude formation, they were buffeted by unexpected winds. A tangle of Thread consumed part of Oro's wing, causing the White to Between for a few moments to reduce the searing pain. The cold helped, and he returned to formation without losing any of his devil-may-care spirit.

More wind! Wild tangles of Thread seemed to appear from nowhere, and Orokath squawked, attempting, unsuccessfully, to avoid them. His other wing was clipped this time, and he dipped Between to avoid falling to the ground in shambles.

Orokath! Korui's heart hurt as she wrapped him in a mental embrace, are you okay? Do you want to go down and have your wings looked at?

I'm strong and graceful! This is just a flesh wound.
