jeoc dboyzero I disagree with you on the public school system, as there is plenty of interaction between students of all grade levels and ages. I don't know about yours, but all of my public schools encouraged older students to help out the younger students, even to the point of having high schoolers go down to the local elementary school to volunteer and help out. While no school can perfectly recreate the "real world" environment, public school is the closest thing you can get to short of tossing your kid on the street to fend for themselves. Single-sex schools certainly are even worse comparisons to the real world than public schools, so I see your argument there. I recently spoke to a friend of mine who went to a single-sex school, and she said the primary reason for segregation was that they were afraid of the girls being overshadowed in classes by boys, leading them to be more docile and less confident. She was very surprised to learn that in my school the girls often did much better and were more confident than the boys in class. Thoughts? planet check. which stellar system is you planet part of? I beg your pardon? I'm not sure what you're asking.

i go to an all girls high school. it's not so bad, but that's only for 4 yr. any longer and i would go crazy. i mean, the first thing i'm looking for in colleges is about a 50/50 boy/girl ratio--too many more girls and i would honestly go crazy..... as for private vs public co-ed vs single-sex, i think it depends soley on teh school. my school leans towards the whole "empowering women" thing (which i personally think is bullshit) but my classmates tend to take it as a joke. as for the lack of guys, its really nice to just roll out of bed every moring adn treck to school. i mean honestly. and we've all kept in touch with our friends from elementary school--you meet their new friends, and your new class mates have guy friends too so its not as hopless as one might think.

what part of my observations did you find improbable? Remember that we come from different areas, so schools that I'm familiar with probably won't be the same as the schools you know.
