i think we should...isnt the human world obsessed with making their lives easier? I say let's make our lives easier...with the intelligence level of 300 IQ...who need fitting in when you could invent something that'll make thousands or millions? Then let's see who'll be flocking towards you. But what I wanted to say was with that kind of IQ...we could invent many things that'll take us somewhere far far away...then we'll find out new things and answer the unknown...and ofcourse many more questions will pop up but then we'll be even more intelligent. It's really important for our brains to grow and I'd love to have a mind of 300 IQ mrgreen

id say HELL NO! if children were that smart than once they start it all of us would probably obsolete how would we be dealt with? the children wouldnt need anything they would probably come to the conclusion that the whole world is obsolete build a rocket ship fly to Mars and build their own little colony then blow us up since we're primitive inferior life forms...

I think that children should be futher incouraged to learn and become more and more intelligent - the Japanese have been doing this over time and look at some of the amazing things that come out of Japan such as Sony products for example. Yes, I think the IQ of children should be increaced as much as is comfortable for them.

Maybe if we make the human race smarter they will learn to think ahead before making a descion. I mean for all we know Cancer could just be evolution at work and we are too busy trying to "cure" it to notice that it is trying to help us. I mean look at ahh crap...Lance Armstrong. Survived Cancer and he is stronger than a normal human. Or maybe it is just the way of trying to prevent from over population.
If it does not go in a postive way, Humans will become very lazy and very weak to the point where something small will kill all of us very quickly

It's a good idea in some ways, but also not a good idea in others. If people were more intelligent, then more people would probably use their intelligence for good, because they would be smart enough to know that the "evil" (for lack of a better word) people are doing nothing but damaging things. But, by the same token... Remember the movie Gattaca? The unmodified people were looked down upon, and the modified people were almost a sort of Aryan race, almost like gods.

If you have an influx of super genuses with normal parent there are going to be major problems. I know this from personal experiance. I have submitted paper on super-string theory, FTL travel, nearly free magnetic accelerators and hyper-spatial fields (gravitation effects on tachyons). all of theese can be used to destroy everything on the planet. if you take my favorite of the devices, a simple device to change one constant (the electro-weak force) and use that to amplify that force the entire planet would under go fission according to binding energy per nuclide.I was even tempted to build such a device. This is from 3 days of being suspended.
And I am just a "regular" genuis with an IQ of a mere 180. imagine if one of the proposed supergenuises had done this, decided that it was worth it and had the time I didnt to build it.
Morals do not come with intellegence. if they did then guns would not be automatic but robots would be common.

I have an I.Q. somewhere near 140 i think. But I have the attention span of a coked-up ferret. I'll be doing my homework and I'll look at the ceiling and I'll imagine that a war is going on on the ceiling. We do not need supersmart people, because isn't that why we have computers for?

Having normal parents while having an higher IQ doesn't lead to problems, having poor parents does. the only time that a person can truely relax is either with a group of friendly peers or a cat. if people are engineered then the potential peer group shrinks dramaticly. if this happens the percentage of thoose mal-adjusted increases nearly exponentially. This means more angry/resentful people who can do things like what i did. eventually one of them is going to do it. I am currently posting papers on string theory under a few psuedonyms. 3 of them have been offered honorary doctorates. i so far havent accepted any.

High atmsopheric dust clouds, cracked techtonic plate and other nasty things that are impossible to cope with.
