I'm definitely gonna get the Wii. The remote controller sounds cool and it's definitely innovative. It's the cheapest, and that backwards compatibility will be good for my other Gamecube games. My Gamecube's starting to break down, but oh well, it has lasted for a long time. Also, I hear that you can download older Nintendo games to it's emulator, allowing you to play the old SNES or the older NES games.
Also, I'm a BIG fan of Nintendo. I took this fanboy test for the three game companies(Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft), and my results said I was as Nintendo fanboy as they come, showing no fanboy-ness towards the rest.
Oh well, at least I'm rational when we're talking about video games.

im defiantely gonna get it because its an afordable price the games look really fun (especially twilight princess) i like the new controller idea because that makes the gaming experience more than just better graphics and sound

yes you can play gamecube games on the wii and u can download the old nes games on it to pirate

Now you see, I'm a graphics junkie but I lurve Nintendo so the choice was very hard for me...
I decided to get the Wii at first because I <3 Nintendo but then...I saw the graphics on the PS3 and Xbox 360... I decided I was going to get the PS3 not the Xbox 360 because I don't have a HD TV but then I saw the price tag!!! So I came to the conclusion that I would get the Wii because:
-The graphics aren't that bad...
-XBox needs HD
-PS3 is too expensive

Got a Wii. heart The Wii is a cool system...I played Wii sports and such, and yeah, it's pretty cool. I might get the Rayman: Raving Rabbids for the Wii, and LoZ:TP is a pretty nice game that they have on the Wii. They have it for the Gamecube as well...so if you don't have a Wii, you should at least buy the game for the Gamecube.

to wii, or not to wii?
to wii-
+you can download old games from the n64 and snes
+it can play gc games
+it has a motion sensor controller
+it has all the nintendo titles (mario, zelda, ssb)
+you can get a controller like the old snes controllers
+it comes with the sports games
not to wii-
Xyou cant get the ps titles (kh (if there is a third one), ff, or ratchet and clank(my fave))
Xthere wont be very many regular games where you wont move the controller, like normal, cause come on, you cant always move the controller around
Xit will still need a memory card
Xyou will need batteries
personally, i need a wii.

I'm probably going to get one soon, but as for now I'm going to be playing with our PS2, because we still have many games that are very playable and is still fun on the PS2. Ever since the next gen game systems came out, all the prices for the old gen games have gone down
