The queen watched in fury as Raven left them she glared at her husband "You idiot" she snapped "Warr told us he is the most powerful wizard to have been in these parts in hundreds of years and here you are ******** it up" she took up the wine drinking on it "Dam.." with frustration she thought how she could fix this so that he wouldn't leave; Evelyn was dozing in the chair when she heard the soft knock on the the door pulling he hood back over her hair so that no one could see it she walked over to the door and opened it "Hello Master Raven" she gave him a bow of her head "Molly is asleep now my lord" she told him her eyes were shadowed over by exhaustion as she allowed him to enter; There was a rocking chair and a stood by the fire she sat on the stool staring at the ground "Did you need something Master Raven?" she asked quietly;

Mage Raven gives her a warm smile as she opened the door."Hello Eve."He says as he enters the room and sees Molly sleeping and walks up to her."No i don't need any thing I just came to check in on you."He says as he turns to her."Did she or you get hurt at all."He asks as he runs a hand over Molly a gentle light flicking form his hand to check if she was ok."I just noticed how small she is."He says turning to Eve and dose the same to her with his hand."You look tired why don't you get some rest I will look after Molly."He says with a smile.

Evelyn replied quietly "Just a few bruises my own mistake my lord" she said as she gazed at her feet "I can't ask you to do that Master Raven its not right" she said "Besides.. I don't know if I can even sleep..." she barely commented "Its like I'm scared she wont wake up..." she told him; She remember Molly crying face in the cold earlier how she clung to john for dear life she must have been terrified seeing as both of them had never been on horses before it would take alot of persuading to get her back on one by herself "I think she thought she was going to die today.... and I thought the same I was scared.." her bottom lip quivered as she tried to hold back tears; Once the feast was finished the queen sent her servant with a note asking to see the Wizard Raven immediately she had to fix this diplomatically or things would become messy;

Mage Raven listens to her her and smiles softly after healing her bruises."She will be find she was just scared and its understandable,but you need not worry for her health."He says and gently hugs her."Now go get some rest consider this an order."He says with a little laugh to let her know he was kind of joking but he did want her to get some sleep,he gently pets her head and walks to the door."Now its my turn to look out for you,so if you need me come find me."He says as he leaves the girls room and sees a servent outside his room and walks up to him."Can i help you."He asks.

Evelyn looked up to him as he gave her a hug and she smiled at him" Thank you Raven.." she said quietly pulling herself off the stool she let him leave then took off her clothes and hood sleeping next to molly she was out in minutes; The servant sent by the queen bowed to Raven and dispatched the letter "Her majesty request your presence" he said before leaving; John poked his head out the door "Master raven your back did you want me to grab your dinner sir?" he asked.

Mage Raven nods to the servant then looks over at John."Not needed John you did great work today,and I would like you two come see me in the morning I need talk to you and don't worry its nothing bad."He says with a smile before walking past them."Now if you don't mind I need to have a word with the queen it seems she wants to see me."He says before heading to her room and knocks."You wanted to see me my lady."He says throught the door.

The queen was sitting in her velvet chair by the fire she wasn't dressed for a fun night she had on her normal gowns hearing his voice she motioned for her servant to open the door "Come in sit" she gestured she flicked her gaze toward her maid who nodded and closed the door behind he r"I see that you had a bad experience yourself your staff in the market today" she said starting off the conversation slowly as she poured him a glass of wine "I thought I'd clarify how things run abit in the kingdom and" she sighed "The reason why such disruption does happen from time to time";

Mage Raven walks in when the door opens and walks up to her listening as he moves."I am ready to hear what you have to say my lady."He says as he takes the wine that was handed to him."And forgive my outburst my feelings got the better of me but I am true to my word,I will leave if things keep on like that."He says making sure she knows he wasn't bluffing.

The queen smiled at him "Obviously you dont know the exstent of human cruelity? You think we can force every mans hand to treat others with respect? You wouldd be asking for the moon" she informed him "No kingdom is perfect" she sighed "Even my home kingdom of Astraguard isn't.. and I always thought it was..."she said quietly "In my sister kingdom the women rule and the man are lower on the platform that goes for all classes... here it is the opposite but they are a mililtary nation if you work you will eat.. even the nobles are forced to serve in the military or work the plow in the field" she explained to him "I always thought it was right and fair.. then I remember the downside to the kingdom.. those who are two old to work or to young or to weak because of a disability are the hinderance to society; The elder are mainly taken care of by their family but if they were to be disowned for any reason they suffer the most crawling on their knees and hands for scraps of food in the street" her sad smile deepened "Orphans are the same.. if no one wishes to take them in they also suffer the same fate... most die within weeks and many who do die welcome it because of the starvation" she told him quietly; "In this kingdom we have churches and orphanages hospitals for the old and poor houses for them to sleep in at night.. but there is less opportunities for a man or a woman to successfully make a business believe me since I came here 20 years before much as improved compared to what my husbands father had going on.. and many accepted the way things were because it was how they were used to it" she looked at him coldly "You see Master Raven no matter what anyone does.. the world remain corrupt and if you think you can continue to judge it from your own eyes then others will always have a contradiction.. we try to do whats good for the common wealth but we can't control all that would require us to take away free will and then the people would revolt and kill what is me and my family.. we could scare them with magic but eventually magic will be beaten by multitudes.." she then smiled "I had a maid once.. when I first arrived here at a young girl of 15 i treated her like a sister and loved her adored her... gave her fine jewels and clothes.. but the longer we spent together the more she got the greed of power to her head.. and eventually she began to wear my own jewels and gowns.. and one day she disappeared taking my crown and running with her 'lover' they were both found by my father in law and executed on the edge of the kingdom" her eyes dropped "They brought me back my bloody crown..." she replied quietly "That day I learned a lesson.. not everyone is what they seem.. there is corruption in even the simplest of people... i swore that day on... I would never allow anyone to trick me ever again" she looked up at him her green eyes were illuminated with vivid emotion.

Mage Raven listened to the queen speak his eyes closed and once she was done his eyes opened."I don't hide who i am and I speak my mind,and my lady I know all to well how cruel humans can be,I know it far better then any one who lives here."He says as he walks towards her window."My lady I have killed countless men and woman,you see where i come form every man woman and child could use magic yet every member of every class was treated with respect,yes some had more money then others but that didn't change how we treated them."He says turning to her."You're sister is on the right track but still flawed this world is far different then I thought."He says closing his eyes for a moment then sighing."You seem to have a better grip on the world then your husband so why is a fool in charge of a kingdom."He asks before sipping his wine.

"Women do not inherite kingdoms here" she explained to him "My daughter would have taken my lead if so.. but it seems here we are nothing but cattle for breeding" she snapped producing a soft chuckle" Oh well.. Master Raven I understand your inflictions but how is one with a silver spoon in their mouth suppose to know any different? Things willl continue to improve in time.. but this perfect world you speak of will not come in my life time nor yours" she smiled bitterly "Its just the way things are and unless your a god it can't be done" she said finally "If you have no more to say you are allowed to leave.. for I have grown tired" she commented; The conversation had taken alot out of her personally and she was rubbing her temples with aggrivaton;

Mage Raven walks to the table and lays the cup onto it and lets out a sigh."You are right I am not a good but a mare human I will think on what you have said tonight my lady,have a good night."He says with a smile before he vanishes form her room to his own room and lays down after taking off his cloths and lighting his fire for the night then he goes to sleep.

Evelyn woke the next morning to Molly squealing in delight" Eve! Eve!" she said poking her friend awake as Evelyn's eyes slid open to see an excited Molly with the comb and mirror "what?" she asked as she blinked her eyes slowly "master raven got me that pretty brush and mirror look" she said showing evelyn the trinkets she looked over at her friend and smiled "Oh thats where it went.." she said quietly "Molly you have to thank Master Raven okay" she said as molly nodded in enthusiasm "Of course I'm going to go grab him a very good breakfast this morning!" she said both the girls dressed for the day Molly using her pretty new comb and letting evelyn use it as well the women spent the early morning fixing their fire and then Evelyn headed out to attend to Master Raven's room while Molly grabbed the breakfast; Evelyn slowly entered the room it was just about dawn and the fire was coming to embers as she moved over to fix it; Sweeping out any soot and ashe she could and adding new logs to stoke a new fire; John and Bryan were up before dawn having barely slept a wink at most because of molly and both were excited to see her they helped her with the trolley and bryan went and gathered the fire wood while John went off to inspect the horses from yesterday; The whole castle was bustling about like normal a usual typical morning but soon the festivities would begin because christmas was very soon;

Mage Raven was sleeping when Eve entered his room and sits up slowly and rubs his eyes and sees Eve at the fire place and smiles."Good morning Eve I hope you slept well last night."He says as he sits in his bed he was naked but his lower half was still covered,he then lets out a streach."Mmmmm have you eaten yet?"He asks.

Evelyn turned at the sound of ravens voice embarrassed she turned around seeing him topless "Master Raven forgive me I thought I'd be quiet enough" she replied startled "Yes molly and I slept very well we are gathering breakfast for you sir it will be here very shortly" she then cleared her throat" I will let you gather yourself sir" she told him leaving through the door her heart was pounding 'My God! that man knows how to scare a woman.. but its sinful to think what I have thought in that one glance' she thought to herself as she looked about the room she would have to change up everything later perhaps she asks the kitchen staff for help to keep herself busy today or maybe they would have to be forced back into the cold for Raven's curiousity 'Oh I do hope not.. I feel like molly will burst into tears if she sees a horse to soon..' she thought as she put on her apron and headed out into the hallway to sweep the cobble;
