All that training and practicing is coming full circle, as your dragon isn't feeling particularly fatigued. If your dragon isn't suffering Fatigue, you are allowed to quote a fellow wingmate (must be in your same wing) who is suffering the effect! Your dragon trumpets at them encouragingly, making them feel better, and giving them a renewed burst of energy and effort. Remove Fatigue Effect from one wingmate!

Venandith was feeling good, and Zyamel could tell. She supposed it had to do with the fact that the danger had increased significantly, and would continue to do so as night swept over the land.

Unfortunately, not all within the Wing were doing so great. Venandith gave a sudden rumble. Nanuth fell. His words were surprisingly affected... But for all that the brown did not get along with his clutchmate, he was not heartless. He was a large and seemingly capable fellow; to have fallen, he must have taken quite the hit.

Clearly, he'd just have to pick up the slack and flame for them both. Just as he had to with Eskharath's loss. Faloth had better remain in tact, and Rouleth as well.

Your dragon is starting to feel tired. This particular fight is wearing them down. A strong gust of winds tries to throw them out of their position. Roll a D4 to see what happens!

3. Your dragon is blown out of formation. They struggle and flap against the wind, and only are able to recover when the wind dies down, feeling more exhausted than before. Worse, you think they may have pulled a muscles in their wing arm! Best watch it. [Light Damage -1 HP ]

Once again, the wind kicked up, and Venandith was caught off guard. Perhaps it was Nanuth having taken such fall; or thoughts of Eskharath; or Lireloth; or any number of dragons plummeting. But this was their duty, wasn't it? Sooner or later, Thread would come for them all--and when it did, he would be ready. He would fight until the very end.

Thread hadn't broken him yet, and neither Zyamel nor he had any intention of following in Nanuth's footsteps. They would overcome, and they would conquer.

1. Your dragon successfully recovers, and keeps in formation. [+1 Stamina]

2. Your dragon begins to be blown out of position, but fights it by giving a few powerful flaps of their wings. There. No one noticed anything out of place.

4. Whoops! Your dragon is blown completely out of formation, and is too tired to stop it. Fellow wingriders notice, and trumpet warning, though it's unclear if your Wingleader has noticed or not. Either way, your dragon is just spent. Fatigue Effect For the next 3 rolled turns your dragon will suffer from Fatigue Effect. Any XP earned during those turns is negated. On the plus side, any negative status effect (i.e. additional Fatigue Effect or Bitten Tongue) is also negated, since your dragon is too tired to care. The only exception is if you get a status that cures Fatigue or your Wingleader/Wingsecond rolls a status cancelling roll.)

Nyenyezith was worried, but not for himself or his rider. He was worried about his clutchmates, about everyone else that was and would suffer. How many of his brothers and sisters had fallen? How many dragons might they lose? Rixth, now Nanuth... And what of poor Lireloth? While he didn't know the brown well, his hearts still ached for the lost brown. A tragedy, and much more tragedy to come.

For all his worries though, the blue was determined to do right by his loved ones. Almost immediately, the stubby dragon flamed down a patch of Thread, watching it turn to ash with satisfaction, before attempting to seek out more. He would burn it all, if he could. For his mother, his father, his brothers, his sisters.

They had hardly begun and yet a strong gust knocked the poor blue well out of formation. Nyenyezith bugled, trying hard to fight against it--but alas, it was too much for the dragon. By the time they made it back into position, K'vah was immediately alarmed.

You okay?

Nyenyezith gave a small rumble, but K'vah could tell the blue was suddenly struggling. Had he pulled a muscle? Or was the wind just sapping that much energy? We've got this. You'll be fine, just fine. He encouraged, sending His all the love, praise, and affection he could muster.

K'vah could tell his beautiful blue was starting to feel better--an ash cloud was blown back into his face, and the dragon at least responded with a small hiss of irritation. That was better than nothing. Leaning down, the large man thumped his delicate beauty on the side of his neck.

They were doing just fine.

Something doesn't feel right. You wind up glancing over your shoulder just in time to see a small, silver strand drifting dangerously close to your dragon. Thankfully, your dragon shares your thoughts, and is able to blink Between and higher above their position, missing the strand, and saving yourself from a score. [+1 Instinct]

A sudden chill came over Z'tir, and habit made him turn to glance behind him - there it was, a silvery strand of Thread. With a quick prompting, Siloth blinked between, and reappeared above the dreaded menace.

Your dragon dives for a strand of thread that has fallen through the upper wings. Right before they belch forth their flame, they suddenly jerk hard to the right, almost in a roll, and quite unexpectedly. Sure enough, a gust of wind would have whipped the thread back in their face! Instead, the strand whips by, and your dragon is able to successfully flame it. [+1 Instinct]

Suddenly Siloth performed a sort of diving roll, and it was only through instinct that Z'tir was able to remain seated. The straps surely held him in place, but it wasn't quite the same with both legs in this present state. A line of flame followed his dragon's roll, however, and immediately Z'tir knew why Siloth had adjusted in the first place.

To Z'tir's dismay, he quickly realized that Siloth was out of firestone. How had this happened?

B'marsi and his green were getting along in age, but weren't old enough to be fully retired. The white-haired man, and his silvering mount, were dedicated to flying in the Queen's wing--sweeping up where they could, but also ferrying stone as needed.

Wingleader Z'tir needed firestone, and the green rider was quick to react. Be there in a moment, dear. The gentle green responded to Siloth, her words respectful. She knew her place, and B'marsi was ready. Unfortunately, on her way up, the poor green was clobbered with a tangle of Thread--but a quick hop Between got them out of the mess, and though his hands shook from fear for his beauty, his throw was true.

The green lady who had assisted him deserved praise, and so Siloth gave a gentle rumble. But in the next moment, it was back to the fray, and the bronze dragon spewed forth a great gout of flame, in quite a longer stream than either he or Z'tir expected.
