Neiveth didn't like leaving that problem for somebody else, but her G'lin was unharmed so she'd take the victory where it was.

Being a little green was tough when she was so light she could just be blown into the clump of Thread she was trying to flame. Fardles!

The final hour. Elzebuth listened silently to Thistreth's words, allowing himself to take strength from them even as he relayed the message to G'ran. Night was well upon them now, and though it couldn't have been more different from the mines of Nabol, the darkness carried that same sense of danger.

Elzebuth did his best to twist and turn, avoiding Thread as it fell all around them. The wind was making things extremely difficult... but so far, they had managed to avoid the worst of it.

Elzebuth's flame was still strong, a blazing beacon as it burst from his maw to sear a path straight through Thread. He fully intended to keep his word to Anakumath, and would light the entire sky aflame if he could manage it.

If you're a green, or blue, you hastily weave out of the way. Your wingtips are a little singed, but you make it out without issue! Thank goodness you're so agile!


The blue dragon gave a squeal of alarm when one of his wingmates--his Wingsecond no less--came out of Between flaming! Thankfully, he was able to swerve well out of the way, despite a new burn on his neck and chest.

C'lusi, of course, had all but froze. That had happened before, and the results had been disastrous! His heart was pounding, and he immediately began checking Macuith over for injury. He remembered how sick his poor blue had gotten with phosphorous poisoning... How close he'd come to losing--

I'm all right, we're all-- Another honk of surprise--but this time the blue was able to more successfully avoid yet ANOTHER wingmate from flaming him. Though his wingtips were a little toasty, he was otherwise unharmed.

Honestly... what was everyone thinking? I know I'm hot but really, even this is a bit much.

They could just barely manage to make out Thread coming at them fast, and G'ran directed them Between... Elzebuth suddenly bellowed as clumps of Thread got tangled around the length of his tail, threatening serious damage unless he vanished Between yet again. G'ran didn't hesitate to do so, and though Elzebuth was hurting, he stubbornly insisted he was still able to fight.

1. It's bad. Very bad. In fact, coming back into the fray, your realize your dragon slips unconscious from the pain and falls from place! Post this to ensure a queen catches you!



If there are no active Queen Rider's able to make a saving roll, or you simply don't want to RP it out, feel free NOT to post the above prompt. Instead, simply say one of the NPC queens catches you, and is able to drop you and your dragon off successfully at the Weyr for Healing. This is an automatic KO. Your dragon is going to need some major healing. They will not return to the fight. This roll can also be a death roll if you wish it, with neither rider or dragon coming out of Between or the dragon perishing later.

2. The burn is painful, but you think you'll be okay! Moderate Damage -7 HP. They also now suffer a Painful status for the next 2 turns. This will negate any gained XP, and cause double damage if the prompt includes damage (or has you roll for damage).

3. If you're a green, or blue, you hastily weave out of the way. Your wingtips are a little singed, but you make it out without issue! Thank goodness you're so agile! If you're a brown or bronze, take Moderate Damage -4 HP.. A little crispy, but you can carry on the fight.

4. With some fancy wing maneuvering, and a quick roll, you manage to get out of the way successfully! You're not happy about the close call, but at least you and your dragon can carry on!

As the wind continued to gust wildly, Elzebuth muscled through the worst of it in order to keep his position. Sometimes, his size and bulk could hurt him, G'ran thought.... but in times like this? No one was moving the big brown unless he wanted to move.

Elzebuth took another hit of Thread, and G'ran could only think grimly of how scored up his dragon was going to be. Battle scars.... well, the brown would wear them with pride. He was a fighter, and always would be--since the day he was hatched, in fact!

Though C'lusi was shaken--he had to tuck those feelings aside. Thread wasn't going to wait, and Macuith seemed more than all right. Though he was a little crispier than usual, it wasn't anything the blue couldn't handle--and as if to prove himself, he made short work of turning a few clumps of Thread to ash.

Macuith did catch sight of Elzebuth in trouble, and though it was risky, neither dragon or rider wanted them to suffer. Surely, they could aid! A quick hop between and...instead of appearing near them, they appeared practically on top of them. Worse, even as Macuith dove out of the way, it was too late.

"Shaffit! G'ran!" C'lusi groaned, even as Macuith creeled his apologies and swerved out of their airspace. Ichta was going to kill him... and Nadry too.

Elzebuth! Forgive me I... Macuith's confidence was shaken, for he had desperately wanted to help him out of a corner. Instead, he'd only caused him injury... He'd need to apologize and check up on him later.

Any Damage rolled takes an additional -2 HP. Any successful bonuses by other players don't affect your character. You just don't deserve it.]

4. You actually find yourself Betweening INTO the clump of Thread. Oh fardles! [Major Damage -10 HP]
