The sound system dies. The club is silent once again. Lin sighs and continues to drink - ignoring Jaft's children for now.

Jaft comes in and takes his children back to his stronghold as he leaves a post-it on the door that says, "Time spell. I had to wrangle them before it was too late."

Eien stops by to answer Starlaa's question.
"It is rudimentary my dear," he explains, "There is a certain aspect of role-playing, whereby the user of the third person speech may further distance themselves from the moment, whilst also opening up a much broader array of ways to describe things. Just think, if books were all written in cenversational form, with no descriptions whatsoever! It would be madness!"

Jaft points out to Starlaa that a mixture of the two forms work best, however, Jaft prefers to keep it all in thirdperson with no dialogue. He does allow himself to think when he must and he holds up signs when needs to, but he refrains from spoken speech.
Jaft likes the thirdperson. He looks at the confused Starlaa and laughs a hearty laugh that warms up his insides.
