Lin waves goodbye at Starlaa and resigns back to his glass of rum - still confounded to the cause of Starlaa's confusion. He sighs, tops off the glass once more, and continues to drink.

Eien looks up from his work long enough to make a swatting motion at Lin, mouthing 'Drinking is bad for you,' then goes back to writing.

"Please Eien... Just allow me this indulgence." Lin mouthed back. "I rarely-ever drink and I don't drink to get drunk. Just let me enjoy this."
(( OOC: Besides, I'm not really drinking ))

"Fine, fine. But only a glass more at most. You're still driving," Eien replied, also waving farewell to Jaft.
((OOC: Never doubted you, m'lad. Who's probably older than me. ^_^;; ))

"Eh... I work here, Eien." Lin replied as he pointed to the barkeep list on the wall.
"Sure, it's probably not good practice to drink on the job... but the owner doesn't mind. Plus, she has kindly made a room for me and anybody else who accidentally had a bit too much of the drink."

"Well, just this once, I suppose. I'll catch the bus," Eien sighed, not without humor.

"Heh... well I better let you get back to your work then." Lin replied with a soft laugh - the melancholy from before slowly leaving his being.
"Wait a tic... did you mean you wanted something? Are you of age?"

"Hmm?," Eien said, eyeing Lin sardonically, "Of age? For that? No. I've got a few years yet, and I don't plan on touching the stuff even then. My liver's perfectly happy as is, thanks."
Eien turned, laughing, and signaled a passing waiter, calling for some food.
"Thankfully, this is a restaraunt too, or I wouldn't be able to hang around."

"Hehheh... that's quite true. I could make you an Orange Italian Creme and a Croque Monsieur if you'd like." Lin asked.
"The establishment... has been a bit understaffed... and at times I've had to deal with the requests of the customers."
(( OOC: Italian Creme: Carbonated Water, Flavouring {Liquer}, and Cream. Croque Monsieur: Broiled Turkey and Cheese Sandwich ))

"That's alright. I've got some eats flagged down already. The Monsieur doesn't sound bad, though. Perhaps another time."
Eien turned back to his work as his food came out, and so he tapped his monitor off.
"Yum, ribs," he winked.

"Sounds delicious." Lin replied. He stared at his watch in slight amazement.
"Oh my... I better get to bed - I have class in about eight hours. I'll see you around! The robotic servers will keep you comfortable!"
With that last line, Lin heads for the bedroom and goes to bed.

"Night, Lin, I must be following you soon; I've got a violin lesson in just a little over that."
Eien sat alone, although there were still some clinkings and mutterings of other late-night customers around, and finished up. It was a pleasent time. When he finished, he neatly lined up his unused utensils on the plate, licked his fingers clean, slid a few bills partly under the plate, and walked outside to catch the bus.
