"I guess you will" Damien said with a chuckle. He bid Shadow farewell and headed back to the temporary sleeping quarters. Even though he considered Shadow his enemy, he had a lot of respect for her. It's not something he gave out freely.

Damien arrived back at the quarters to see what Jian was up to. "You all ready?" he asked the Chief General.

"Yes. Everything's ready to go. Apparently our little endeavor is all over Diethelm's news stations. There is speculation whether we're alive or dead because of the storm and assassins." Jian replied.

Damien frowned. "And who gave them permission to report this?" he questioned. "I guess news spreads fast. I wonder who told" he added.

"I'm not sure. I'm just getting a lot of feed on my phone. There's over ten articles up right now, and they keep posting more with speculation. It's not being contained at all." Jian sighed. "This could be advantageous if used correctly, but we better do something before it causes a panic."

Damien walked with Jian to where their helicopter was and after making sure that there was enough room, the chopper began taking off and headed in the direction of the capital city.

After arriving, the helicopter landed safely. The soldiers got off first, followed by Jian, who turned and waited for Damien. The soldiers who were standing around were shocked by the sight of the two arriving.

"Did you miss us?" Damien asked the soldiers after he stepped out of the helicopter. He was teasing, but the answer better have been a 'yes'.
He then went with Jian down to the board room to see who was there and who was taking charge.

"Glorious Leader Blackrose!" The commander saluted, looking as if he saw a ghost. The other soldiers stood baffled. The commander walked with Damien and Jian as they began walking to the board room. "Thank goodness! It had been reported yesterday that you were assassinated. We are all glad to see you are alright, and slightly baffled that we had all been misinformed."
"Briefed yesterday?" Jian asked.
"Yes, sir." The commander replied.
"Strange..." Jian muttered. "Communications only just cleared up this morning from Mt. Angelo. I couldn't even get a signal until an hour before we left. Good work, commander. Return to your post."
"T-thank you sir." The commander replied, saluting before turning to leave.
Jian followed behind Damien as he walked to the board room door. "You were right. This is quite interesting."

"Where did this briefing come from?" Damien demanded, now getting a bit angry. Did someone take advantage of the storm?
Or...
Was this all a plan by the bishops at Mt. Angelo?

"By the defense department and department of international affairs, sir." He replied. "The first report stated your helicopter crashed outside Mt. Angelo, while the second stated you were assassinated at Mt. Angelo. They said there was no official confirmation until your bodies arrived, but the report was clear that neither of you survived."
"... Perhaps we should get some backup before having a confrontation." Jian replied. "I've had more then enough of those sorts of situations getting out of control fast this weekend."
