"You don't have a cold heart. If you did, you wouldn't be making ammends with her like this. You wouldn't have worked so hard to make things work. And...I doubt you would've kept me around." Larai pointed out with a proud grin.

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"Still, I just hope things continue to work out like this. To her, I'm still on a very short leash." Daemon said looking back at Milly.

 

[M3Gnificent]

"I'll help you however I can, Daemon. I love you and I support you." Larai replied, despite her secret longings for an adventure - a heist like what they pulled in Syria. She wasn't ready to be a mother yet. It was too soon. The only one keeping her through all this, Daemon, was already being taken away from her as they spoke by the vengeful Milly. If Larai were alone, she'd be chalking up tears by now. Her discomfort with everything did not show from behind her loving smile, so it would grow, it would fester.

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

Daemon placed a hand upon hers, along with a gentle kiss as he smiled faintly up at her. "Thank you for taking things so well. I never intended to force you into a role of motherhood so soon."

 

[M3Gnificent]

"I know you didn't. Which, actually, makes it a bit easier." Larai replied with a small chuckle. A blatant lie. Not too surprising, really, considering how she's a damned thief and all. Her mind returned, although briefly, to treasures yet unstolen. They would remain as such for another twenty years, at least, which wasn't a pleasant thought for her. She had never once remained bound to one area outside of her childhood like this ever, which made things feel all the worse.

"I can only hope Milly adjusts as well as you." Daemon said with a slight smile as he looked back at his daughter.

 

[M3Gnificent]

Just before Milly returned, Larai was quick to assure Daemon, "She will come around. I'm sure of it."

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"Pick out everything you want?" Daemon asked with a smile as Milly came back.

Milly nodded in delight, pointing out each piece of furniture she wanted to Daemon.

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"Alright, toy time then." Daemon said getting up to pay before leaving the store hand in hand with Milly once again, simply teleporting everything back to the caves for now.

Milly gripped onto Daemon's hand once more, excited to see what she might get as far as toys are concerned.

Larai decided to follow along quietly, lagging behind Daemon and Milly.

((G2g for my last final. Though I use the term "final" very lightly, so no need to wish me luck. XD ))

"Just don't go overboard now. I love you, but I'd hate to spoil you." Daemon said with a bit of an awkward smile, still trying to find that balance in being a good parent.

"I won't, I won't." Milly promised, although one could never know with her. She wasn't exactly the most rational person around unless she really wanted to be.

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"Besides, if you get everything you want now, what am I supposed to get for you as a present come the holiday season?" Daemon said.

 

[M3Gnificent]

"Okay. I'll pick a few cheaper things I want now, and I'll point out some I might like later. Does that sound good?" Milly asked.
