Lucian changed into his half form and swim passed the divers with ease as he continued deeper into the cave. He was curious to know if others were hiding in here. ‘Just keep swimming just keep swimming what do you do you swim swim swim. Oh god I hate that song.’ He continued down the dark path within the cave. He seen bubbles floating to the top and knew that someone was just there.

Katalina, noting that Joshua was in difficulties, slowed down slightly. She had to, anyway. The coral grew tighter here, and she had to be careful that she didn't damage the coral going in and out and around.
That would make her no better than the fishermen.
"We're just about there," she said quietly, not daring to be louder; they were passing just underneath the fishermen now. "Careful."
She could only hope that he would hear her.

Joshua nodded, the techno-gear in his suit allowing him to hear her whisper. He looked upwards, at the fishermen. 'Now, how to get them out of the water without harm....And not be seen. That's the most important thing.' He glanced at Katalina, seeing if she had any ideas. He raised his eyebrow in a silent question. Joshua wasn't certain how loud the speakers of his dive suit actually were, so he decided that for now he would just stay silent.

Lucian finally caught up to a human and a mermaid. Confused and excited he eased closer. They were trying to communicate silently so they don’t disturb the fishermen.

(((I can’t figure out where you are…I thought you were in the cave?)))

((No. We're hunting around the coral, in the deep waters of a cove. Trying to figure out how to get the fishermen to leave.))

(((Ok well Lucian is following you...XD so ignore the cave part...Are they like fishermen with fishing poles or nets? Are they standing on the edge of something or a boat?)))

Katalina met his gaze calmly, waiting for any ideas he might have. Upon realizing that he was waiting for exactly the same thing from her, she hesitated, then opened her mouth. But suddenly, she was interrupted by one of the fishermen speaking.
"Hey, look, man, something silver!"
"Don't be stupid," scoffed the other, "there's no silver fish around here."
To Katalina, the words were only a series of meaningless burbles. She looked questioningly at Joshua.

((There's a boat above that was trying to use a net, but Katalina & Joshua foiled that. Now the fishermen sent down divers to investigate what happened to the net. They are only armed with a belt knife.))

Joshua tilted his head, processing what the men had said. Once it had filtered through his brain, he had to stifle a laugh. That was pretty much the first thing he'd thought upon seeing Katalina. Realizing what must have happened sobered Joshua. He looked up in worry, hoping against hope that it wasn't the mermaid that they were seeing. His hopes were in vain. The edge of Katalina's tail had caught a small beam of watery sunlight and was reflecting it. 'Damn.' He thought, over and over again. The rest of Katalina as well as Joshua were still in shadows. He hoped that if Katalina pulled her tail back, that maybe the men would just dismiss the flash of silver. Joshua gestured for the mermaid to move closer, which would put her entirely into shadow.

Lucian looked up and back at them. A smile crossed his face as he continued to watch the seen. He could hear the fishermen talking about a silver glint. He knew he was well covered and hidden from the sight of the fishermen and the two before him. He withdrew into the shadows. He looked down at his hand and slit one finger with his sharp claw. He moved the finger around until blood mixed with the ocean. One he was satisfied he sucked on his now stinging finger. Things will get exciting soon.

Katalina blinked almost childishly at Joshua, completely bewildered. What did he want? Confused, she shifted towards the sunlight, then back towards him. At no point was she completely hidden.
She shrugged helplessly. What?
Then she glanced down, and realized what he was trying to point out. Shooting backwards abruptly, she nearly cannoned into him. She put her hands on his shoulders briefly to steady herself, then let him go and curled her tail about her body.
Her eyes flicked to the men, confirming what she already knew. The tactic was hopeless. The man who'd seen the silver was sinking towards the bottom, presumably to investigate.

Had Joshua been on land, he would have fallen. As it was, he slid backwards in the water with a silent 'oof'. His eyes strayed upwards, watching the men come deeper. Mentally, he swore. This was not good. 'I don't want to hurt them.' He though, plaintively. His next thought was resigned. 'But I just might have to.' Joshua's hand drifted towards his belt knife. Though he was reluctant, if it meant protecting these cove waters, he would attack. He might regret it later, but these waters were to be protected. He sighed, Katalina unable to hear it. Resolutely, he pulled the knife from it's sheath and waited. They were coming closer now, one ahead of the other.

Lucian smiled as three sharks swim past him. He mentally guided them towards the divers and fishermen. One accidently bumped into the boat, making it slightly rock back and forth. Lucian then swims over to the human and mermaid, grabbing them by the hand and pulling them away before things got ugly. Once in the cover about 50 feet away, he released them. He smiled widely at them once they looked at him.

Joshua started in surprise as he was pulled backwards through the water, along with Katalina. As he was released, he twisted to try and see who was there. His mind blank upon seeing the 'person' in front of him. Joshua tried to wrap his mind around it. One of the seafolk had come near him completely willingly. And didn't seem even the least bit startled. 'Just how many are there around here?' An idle part of his brain wondered. In his wonder, he didn't see the sharks behind him, heading after the fishermen. He was too surprised to even sheath his knife. Joshua just floated there, holding the knife and staring at the newcomer. He looked like a merman, in terms of being half and half. Though his lower half made Joshua think of a dragon rather than a fish like Katalina's tail.

Lucian smiled even more at the human. He reached over and poked him in the goggles. His other hand grabbed the knife in his hand. He stared at the dagger with interest. Shiny things always caught his attention. He glanced up to see if the human was still looking at him because if he wasn’t, he was going to steal it.

Joshua shook his head, startled out of his daze. He met the gaze of the 'creature' before him. He didn't look even remotely surprised or anything. He just smiled. Feeling a pressure, Joshua looked down to see the dragon-man grabbing the knife. He tried to disentangle the newcomer's hand from the knife. Joshua wanted to sheath it, to show he meant no harm, but the newcomer was too fascinated by the metal. He couldn't get the knife back into it's sheath without risking cutting the other.
