As they focused on larger pieces, a single little strand of Thread drifted down, grazing against Keyrarath's wingsail. They blinked Between before it could do any real damage, but it was a reminder to keep a careful eye out...not that that was an easy task in the dark.

At Keyrarath's small size, fighting the wind was hard, and before long, the little green was blown out of formation. Fortunately, she wasn't blown into any Thread, and was able to quickly return to her place.

Some close calls can't be avoided. The wind was mad and Kaloth found himself caught up in it again. Wings already abused, the left pained him even more than it had by the time they got back into position again. Not a simple pull but scoring around the wing this time. They would be glad when Fall was through.

Mid-chew, Kaloth bit his tongue. The choked off cry of pain was lost in the whipping wind, but both of them felt it.

1. A larger clump of Thread falls down hard and fast. Thankfully, your dragon is on top of it, and manages to hit the target with a large belch of flame just as it passes. [+1 Target Accuracy]
As they shifted down to the mid altitude and the rallying cry filled their minds, Yulaniath gave a roar of defiance to the Thread falling around them. Her hearts ached for Lireloth and Thella, but she felt as though her brown wingmate was there, pushing her and giving her his strength and stamina. She was but a green, but she would do her best to fill the spot he'd left tonight.
Putting on a burst of speed, Yulan flew towards a large clump of Thread, meeting it as it fell. With a well-placed breath of fire it was seared from the sky, falling harmlessly to the ground below.

One good turn deserved another. Kaloth and Z'rai shouted until G'ran and Elzebuth pair were alerted to trouble and blinked out of the way. It was only right that it be those two, since there'd been a near disaster earlier.

4. You're so focused on flaming Thread that you miss a clump of thread blows up on the wind -- beneath you! If a greeen, or blue, you manage to jump Between ahead of it. Thankfully, your smaller size means you're able to avoid getting harmed! [+1 Between Accuracy]
Working hard, Yulan didn't notice the Thread rising beneath her on an updraft but Shar did. She didn't need to say anything to her companion, their minds and bodies working as one fluid machine to jump Between, avoiding the danger.

Just when they thought the wind had let up, another gust pushed at them or threatened to wrench Kaloth's wing again. This fight was no easy challenge.

A particularly strong gust of wind blew Yulan off her track slightly, but she turned the movement into a graceful barrel roll to avoid a bit of Thread. She turned on a dime and seared the Thread from the sky before winging back into formation.

Things were going pretty well up until Yulan needed a refill on firestone. Shar tossed her a bit and the green chomped down right on her tongue. She gave a little scree of pain and surprise, her steady movements faltering.

Misuth’s tide of luck seemed to be turning with the change of altitude. Her large wings weren’t constantly fouled by the unrelenting wind. She could aim her flame without worrying about it being blown back in her face, ridding a particularly swath of thread from the sky.

With a dainty flick of her tail, Misuth was moving through the skies like a fish in water. A chew of stone a belch of flame, nothing was getting past her formation in the sky!

Sheets of thread were sneaking between the altitudes, it fell heavy. Deadly and hard to see in the night sky. With a gasp Sh'vel grabbed the riding straps as Misuth made a quick turn, spotting a swath of thread he was unable to see in the blackness. Her flame lit up the air around them destroying them with ease.
