Good morning-almost-afternoon everyone! Hope y'all had a wonderful News Year's Eve. Mine was pretty good. Spent the afternoon hanging out with my friends. Got a book from Powells - Sir Arthur Conan Doyle: Memories and Adventures. It was one of the sources I had used for my observation paper for my "Scandal in Bohemia" play I did for 19th C. Lit. I liked what little I was able to preview on Google so much, that I decided to get it. biggrin Then we had some yummy pizza and some yummy frozen yogurt. There a frozen yogurt flavor I tried that was really yummy - Ginger Lemonade. biggrin
Came home and watched a movie with my parents. Then watched d**k Clark's New Year's Eve Bash. 3nodding The music was enjoyable to listen to.

I never realize how... um... ugly(?) Ke$ha is. It was really weird, because most of the pictures I've seen of her on the internet make her look pretty nice looking. But when she was on the New Year's Bash performing, I was like - What the hell?! She's not pretty at all. eek Maybe it was just how she did her makeup. After all, my Mom did point out that she was wearing lipstick and what not, but no mascara. The mascara probably would've improved things... maybe... probably not.

While I was at Powells yesterday looking at Sir Arthur Conan Doyle/Sherlock Holmes section of the Mystery Fiction area, I saw a book that stood out to me. It was called Good Night, Mr. Holmes - it's a Irene Adler novel apparently. I definitely will have to get around to reading it. 3nodding

I'm back.
Unfortunately Good Night Mr. Holmes isn't available via Kindle. *sighs* Darn. I had hoped I would be able to read it on my Kindle.

At least I can read part of it on Google Books. *shrugs* One way or another I'll get around to reading it... even if it's just part of it.
It'll be interesting to see how well this author does a keeping to Doyle's writing. That's right. This Good Night Mr. Holmes novel isn't written by Doyle; it's by Carole Nelson Douglas. 3nodding

Sometimes it's interesting having casual conversations about various religious beliefs. I enjoy listening to people talking about their different beliefs. But then it makes me think of my extended family's beliefs and it makes me realized how messed up their beliefs are. Not to mention how many different religions exist in my extended family and how that has strained/damaged/whatever some of the relations with each other as a result. *sighs*
