K'gan hunkered down over Singarth's back as the wing picked up trying to rip him right out of his straps! Even Singarth's mighty blue wings were struggling to hold him in formation as the north wind punished them for reasons of it's own. Singarth could only hold out against it so long and the next time the gusts shifted they caught Singarth's sails and flung him sideways. K'gan's body thrilled with alarm but his training kept him from acting rashly. 'Sin, sharp turn now! The dragon managed to turn his wing just in time to avoid the patch of thread and flame it instead. K'gan let out a whoop despite all the chaos happening around them and turned back to return to formation.

Once K'gan and Singarth had regained themselves the wind had died down enough in their small patch of sky for them to return to the business of chasing down the way ward thread that had escaped the higher altitude and the sent a puff of silver down in ashes with a new gout of flame.

K'gan cringed when he saw another dragon fall. Another brother or sister in arms, but the queens were ready to catch them and the blue rider could not help himself. He felt the thrill of the fight in his whole body. He...They were born to do this. He knew it and so did Singarth. As if on pure instinct Singarth turned to flame another patch of thread at his tail.

The dizzying rush of adrenaline was taking them both. So when Singarth's faceted eyes zoomed in on a few stray clumps of thread a wicked grin turned the corners of K'gan's lips. His communication to his blue was one word. 'Go'. Singarth rocketed forward turned his head and caught two clumps in his first flame. Then he tucked in his wings and dropped like a stone. Flaming as he went to catch the last wispy and way ward patch before it enter the radar of the glittering Queen's wing. Singarth's wings flared and the wind caught them. Lifting both blue and rider back into the air on their natural high. K'gan was already looking for their next target.

1. A guest of wind sends you out of formation, and you know your Wingleader (or their Seconds) just saw.
2. You successfully flame another clump, but accidentally fly into the ash cloud, leaving you with some ash burns [Minor Damage -2 HP ]
3. Find a tangle of thread hitting you from behind! Quick, hop Between so it doesn't do more damage than it already has! [Moderate Damage -5 HP]
4. Appear from Between directly into a clump of Thread. There is no avoiding the tangles, and you and your dragon are scored in multiple areas. [Major Damage -8 HP!]

Distracted by the pain of her tongue, Myrrath didn't notice, and Ada couldn't see, a large tangle of thread right behind her. Squeaking, she dove between at her rider's urging, to appear a bit away. Ouch!
