"Well..." Valkyrie muttered.
"It's ok, but not great." Vincent nodded.
"But we'll let you side this once." Valkyrie chuckled. Then they both turned to her.
"But..." They stated at the same time with a smirk as they looked at her.

Damien was sure Shadow was having a hoot. He rolled his eyes. "Enjoy yourself" he said.

Eris's eye twitched slightly at their implied insult as she repeated their words, "Buuuuut?"

"Oh goodness. I wish I could be over there right now." She laughed. "Priceless!"
"I usually read bed time stories for my dear sweet sister." Vincent began. "But I can't even get out of bed to get a book."
"Yes, it's so sad, benevolent brother of mine. I don't think I could ever get to sleep without a bed time story." Valkyrie smiled.
"I think there are some good books on the shelf." Vincent said, wincing as he pointed towards the bookshelf.
"Can you find us a good story and read it to us?" Valkyrie asked.
"Please?" They asked simultaneously as they batted their lashes at her.

"Well, anyway. I'm in the middle of an investigation that's a little personal, so I'll let you have your fun. I'm sure the twins will appreciate it" Damien said.

Eris looked at the bookshelf before sighing as she walked over to it. She looked at the different books on the bookshelf trying to find one that wouldn't bore her to tears, let alone the kids.

"Actually, someone sabotaged a project the twins were working on, causing an explosion which badly hurt a few people and even killed a few others. The twins are alive, though they were hurt quite a bit. They're currently in a safe location recovering. However, I plan on getting to the bottom of whoever did this" Damien said, his voice very serious.

Eris looked through the books, unsure what she should pick. She eventually held up a random one for their inspection and approval.
{K I just had a thought, he said they're safe. And the next post is Eris in the same room as them lol About as far from safe as they can be.}

The twins looked at the book, then at her, both shaking their heads 'no' with looks of disapproval.
"T-the twins?!" She said with alarm. She was then silent for a moment. "I'm glad to hear they are okay. I'll see if I can dig anything up."

Eris sighed and put the book back, grabbing a different one and holding it up, intending on doing this until she got to one they wanted.

The twins, tilted their heads to the side before looking at each other and shaking their heads 'no'. "Isn't there anything interesting over there?" Vincent asked.
"Surely there has to be something." Valkyrie nodded.
