"Ah, interesting. Well, if we play our cards right, we should be able to get these plans going without a hitch" Damien said, standing up with his papers. "I think I'm going to call up Monica's place, just to see how the twins are doing so far."

"Alright then." Jian replied. "Its really grinding on your mind, isn't it? Perhaps... you ought to take a day off to spend some time with them while they're recovering." Jian suggested. "I know it's hardly the time work-wise, but... some of these thing can wait a day or two."

Damien sighed. "Yeah..." he said, then after a small pause, added "You know, things were going so well after we sorted that mess out with the treacherous members of the media control sector, and now this happens."

"That is true" Damien said, "anyway, I'll speak to you later." With that, the Absolute Leader left Jian's office and went back to his own. He then called up Monica's manor to ask how the twins were doing.

Eris stood and walked over to the twins, random book in hand. She pulled over a chair and sat down, made a big thing about sitting down with all the skirts of her uniform, cleared her throat multiple times.... looked at the book's words.... and remembered she had no idea how to read.

"Well..." They asked, tilting their heads and waiting. They looked at her expression, sensing something was amiss, but kept their mouths shut and just continued to stare.

Eris looked back and forth quickly between the two staring children before she tossed the book at the male twin and said, "You said so yourself that your sister liked it when you read to her, so read."

Vincent reached to grab the book as it hit his chest. "Ouch!" He yelled, grimicing as he gripped his chest where the book hurt him and fell over onto the bed, curled up.
"B-brother!" Valkyrie stuttered, wincing as she put her arms around him to comfort him. Some of the bandages slide, showing some of the burn scars on his body as he breathed heavily to keep the pain down.
"I'll... be... ok..." He muttered.
"Why would you do that?!" Valkyrie yelled. "You know he's hurt!"
"It's ok, sister... darling..." He muttered.
"Brother dear..." She muttered.
((I'm supposed to be hanging out at a bar with some friends tonight, but I'm not sure if it's going to happen. >.< So yeah... just saying... and I'm not sure when I'll be back...))

{Yeah, figured that'd happen and didn't really want to do what I did.. but then I remembered that Eris doesn't really think before acting, soooo}
Eris tensed when the boy cried out in pain, hoping no one had heard that, or the girl yell. She stood and inched towards the door, hoping to leave and find somewhere in the mansion to hide.

"Is something the matter?" Asked one of the maids who peeked in the room, looking between the children and the maid.
"Everything's fine. We were just reading a story." Vincent smiled, the two smiling like angels. "And she just had to use the bathroom real quick."

Eris wasn't sure what to say or think, but when the kids gave her an out she nodded and moved to slip past the maid, intending on trying to find a bathroom so that she could hide out there for at least a little bit.
