"Don't be getting all paranoid on me now." Shadow retorted. "Still, I'm a little surprised that the economy is doing so well here despite all else. My stock keeps going up." She smiled. "... but in all seriousness, I know you. Are you planning to declare war overseas any time soon?" She asked him, turning and leaning on his desk as she gave him a mischievous smirk. "Or are you going to push them to declare war on you slowly so that it seems justifiable to everyone else?"

Like Damien would be telling Shadow his true plans. "Why would I want to do something like that? The battle with Helmshire was tiring enough. Why would I want the whole world at my door?" he replied. Besides, he was taking things slow, starting with establishing ties to dictatorships in small, poor countries, which he planned on using as puppet governments once he annexed their lands.

Shadow blinked innocently as she looked at his smile. "Maybe." She replied, thinking he was implying that he might tell her something intresting, but being slightly hesitant in case he was implying something else.

Shadow blushed, looking slightly dumbfounded before quickly regaining her bearing. "M-maybe." She said, giving a coy smile. She then quickly turned away as he grew closer. "A-another date huh..." She muttered, rubbing the bottom of her jaw. "What did you do to him?" She asked with curiosity, slowly turning back towards him.

"Nothing too drastic. Just docked his pay and put him under house arrest for a little bit. Plus he had to wash all your clothes and shine my shoes that he puked on. By the way, do you want your clothes back?" Damien asked.

Damien unlocked a drawer that contained files, but also a plastic bag. He pulled it out and plopped it in front of Shadow. "Right here" he said. "I kept them, as I had a feeling you'd either find your way here, or I'd be meeting you somewhere. And of course, I was right."
