Katalina laughed and poked Lucian. "Leave him be, he's too innocent for that," she bubbled at him teasingly, before returning her attention to Joshua. "He thinks you'll give him food if he gives you the...kitten eyes, is that what it is?...long enough." With the hint of a grin, she added wickedly, "And you probably will eventually, if only to get him off you."

Lucian looked away with a disappointment look in his eyes. He backed away from the human looking downwards. He stayed completely still, waiting for the human to make the move. One of his hands was rubbing his other arm as if he was cold or nervous. If they weren’t in the water, he would have also played the crying card with the sniffles. He glanced over at the mermaid to see if she too will fall for his big puppy like eyes.

"I think you mean puppy eyes." Joshua said with a smile, still avoiding meeting Lucian's eyes. 'And I think she's right. I probably would give in eventually.' He thought, forgetting, once again, that Lucian could hear his thoughts. Joshua just wasn't used to someone listening to his thoughts, regardless of whether he wanted it or not. He peeked a glance at the sea-dragon as he pulled away. 'Nononono. Not falling for it!' He tried to rally himself against Lucian. It wasn't fair that someone could be that good at it.

Lucian’s bottom lip started to quiver at Joshua’s response. He looked at him then quickly looked away for dramatic affects. His hand went to his belly and rubbed it as if he was getting hungry.

Joshua squeezed his eyes shut, know he was going to regret this at some point. He opened them with a sigh. 'Fine....' He thought. 'But no fast food. I don't have any.' He looked at Lucian. 'Come on.' A slight smile was on his face. He was going to regret this, yet at the same time, he had a feeling that this would be interesting.

Lucian smiled and pulled Joshua into a hug. He then nuzzled against him in delight. He let go and swam in circles with all his excitement. He then grabbed onto the humans gear to keep up with him as well as not letting his swim away changing his mind.

Katalina chuckled softly. Floating along beside Joshua, she murmured amusedly into his ear, "Can I say I told you so, or am I only allowed to think it really loudly?"
She would not have fallen for Lucian's puppy eyes. She had sisters.
...That thought gave her pause. Where had that come from? More importantly, had she had sisters? She didn't remember any sisters.
Shrugging, she continued floating along beside Joshua.

Rosalina dived into the water. She swam for a while moving and twisting in the water with the playfulness and grace of a sea otter. She was a bit surprised when she noticed a diver and a woman........wait why did the woman have a tail and what was that with them? She stopped, floating in the water, kicking her legs slightly to stay where she was. She studied the group silently. "So legends are truth......" she thought.

Katalina's head snapped around at the sound of a disturbance in the water. She saw the girl at approximately the same time the girl saw her. Terrified, she grabbed Joshua's arm and spun him around so that he, too, could see the human girl. "She sees us!" she whispered, frightened out of her mind.

Lucian was fast to react, he grabbed the mermaids wrist and instantly made them blend into there surroundings. He wrapped his arms around her waist to keep her from moving. After tilting her chin up so he could kiss her from behind, his voice wringed within her head. ‘Don’t move, she will not be able to see us,’ his voice whispered softly. He glanced over to Joshua and told him what they just did so he wouldn’t be alarmed and think that they left him alone.

Katalina, startled and struggling at first, understood his words after a second and went totally still. But it's too late, she thought dully to Lucian, who knows how long she's been there?
She looked at Joshua, worried and confused. What about him? she demanded silently.

‘He can make something up, but I can’t keep you and I like this for long.’ His playful attitude changed completely. He was now serious and commanding. He then stared at the other human, debating if he should eat her or not. Being seen usually doesn’t happen to him, now all kinds of things seem to be taking place.

Katalina tried not to squirm, but she was frightened. Plus, the whole being held onto thing was weird and uncomfortable. She asked, the nervous sound of her own thoughts becoming slightly more obvious, Can we move? Under some coral or a rock hang or something while we're like this, and then let it go?

‘Sadly I can’t do that holding onto you.’ His eyes glanced over to Josh to see what he was doing. He chuckled inside, ‘Don’t worry, I won’t take your earrings if that is what you are worried around.’

Katalina rolled her eyes. Although I appreciate the promise, she retorted, I think we both have more important things to worry about right now. Like, oh, I don't know, getting caught?
