are you meaning avatar Talk, or Arena? (some of the same people are in both) the people in both sometimes are rather dumb. ninja sometimes even the AT regulars are dumb. I exclude my AT friends of course from this statement.
edit: or do you mean the guild's version of AT? sweatdrop

so what? I've browsed the arena occasionally. if you want to enter, you can.
I've seen plenty of dumb rolleyes avatars submitted, and really, only 10 people can win anything each week, and there's literally hundreds submitted. maybe even a couple thousand. (I'm not sure)
the point of entering the arena can't be to win unless you've got really unique avatar ideas (some of my AT friends are amazing at creating wacky cool avatars. xd )
for the rest of us, we should do it when we've got a cool avatar we like, and we want to share it with gaia. you have to not be afraid of people dissing you tho, cause they most likely will. it's the nature of people.
If you come up with a cool story for your avatar, they'll like it more.
the only time I submitted an avatar in the AvA... let's just say my alt was a part of AvA history. ninja twisted xd
