And even if I HAD quoted the police, what's so wrong with that? Police are there to protect you and enforce laws. Thinking they kill everyone they see is bigotted towards the police. Quick side question, how old are you again?

It's just a matter that police are constantly putting themselves in dangerous situations so they have to defend themselves more often. Even than they attempt to use non-lethal forms to take the criminal down first (unless the bad guy already killed a cop, than they will kill in cold blood for revenge sake).

Actually MOST aren't corrupt. We live in a country where its more beneficial to a cop to be honest and do his job properly than to be corrupt. Most times if they kill a suspect its in self defense, not just for the hell of it.

Just because you have the RIGHT to do something doesn't mean that you are suddenly forced to do so. Perfect examples...You have the RIGHT to vote, you're not held at gun point and ordered to do so. You have the RIGHT to have an abortion; no one is telling you if you want to put a kid up for adoption or keep it that you have to have one done. You can have the RIGHT to defend yourself or your family, you don't have to use it. If you are so non-violent that you would rather be raped and murdered than defend yourself that is also your RIGHT! A Right simply means it becomes your personal choice!

If the attacker enters the room and makes the first move on you or your family you than have the right to defend until death of the attacker or until the police arrive and lend aid.
Personally I think that is retard, if someone is in your house they already intend to do you harm if you are also there.
