Seriously... where's Wonkavision when you want it? I would probably be tempted to bring my own version of Benedict as Sherlock into my own world. xd But a girl can dream, eh?
*shrugs*

So, today in my 20th/21st C. Lit. class, my professor informed me that someone else had already taken the particular author that the book I had chosen to do written. She didn't realize it until recently. *sighs* As a result, I'll have to go back on a "treasure hunt" to find a author/book that I want to use.

As a result, I'm going to stay up for a bit and do some more researching to find another author/book I want to use... and hopefully be able to find something that someone else hasn't already claimed.
I think I'll just stick with the Japanese area, since that's what my original choice was.

For awhile, I started wondering when I would be getting a bank statement or not... mostly because there was one purchase I did that I didn't get a receipt for. Thankfully it just came today, so now I'm all caught up balance wise. 3nodding

Alright... I've decided on a potential new book. I'll have to see if I get the official okay from my professor or not.
The book I chose is Shadow Family by Miyuki Miyabe. It's a crime fiction novel. *shrugs* I thought it would be an intriguing genre to go into since I've been into Sherlock Holmes lately... and I've read Nancy Drew when I was younger. So, I'm familiar with British and American detective/crime fiction. So I get to add another ethic area to my familiarity. 3nodding

Hmm... I think I might be able to sneak a little bit of Sherlock Holmes into my paper, especially if I decide to focus on how detective fiction came into Japan. There's a few Japanese detective fiction writers who apparently were inspired by Doyle's work to start writing detective fiction themselves. 3nodding
Hopefully all of this research won't go to waste like the brief research I did for the former book I chose. *sighs*
