Thanks for your help, Katalina replied sourly, watching the other two from below. Forgetting Lucian could hear her thoughts, she continued to herself, I trusted before, and I was betrayed. But then I met Joshua, and he hasn't betrayed me...yet. Where does this girl fall?
Her eyes were troubled as she watched the humans.

As she was waiting for the man's reply, Rosalina would of been spooked when something bumped into her from below if she hadn't recognized the touch. "Hey Poseidon."she murmured as a silver dolphin surfaced next to her. Poseidon nudged her playfully, wanting to play and wondering why there was all the tension in the air.

Lucian loved it when he starts to talk to different creatures; they forget that he could listen to everything they think. Well it wasn’t easy to control which thoughts you project to others. He stared at the mermaid then notice dolphin swim by and nudged the human girl. He tilted his head and studied the new situation.

Joshua almost jumped as the dolphin appeared. "Marie? No, that one is male." He muttered to himself, not caring if the girl heard. It wasn't like dolphins weren't uncommon in these waters. He stared at the girl, seriously debating telling her. 'But Katalina doesn't seem to like humans.' He recalled the terrified expression on her face when he first found her. 'And I have no idea how Lucian would react.' The sea-dragon seemed playful enough, but as soon as the girl had appeared he had become serious. 'Lucian?' He called mentally, his eyes becoming unfocused as he concentrated on speaking mentally. 'What do you and Katalina think? She says she doesn't want to hurt you guys.' Marie appeared beside Joshua as he lightly tread water. She watched him with one eye as she clicked a greeting to the other dolphin. Without thinking, Joshua reached out and grabbed hold of Marie's dorsal fin.

Lucian translated to Katalina, letting her decide what she wants to do. He on the other hand has already decided. Lucians top of the head and eyes appeared out of the water beside Joshua to peer at the other human. He swam closer to Joshua and wrapped his arm around his. Bright blue eyes sparkled while his ears switched. His horns were no doubt seen by human as well as his tattoos that change colors when they were visible to the sun. He kept his mouth and nose underwater while he inspected her for shiny things. ‘If I talk to her, I damn well better get something out of it…food, something shiny…anything.’ He broadcast his thoughts, not caring if anyone heard.

Rosalina's eyes locked on the sea dragon as he surfaced. "So much cooler than those pictures in that myth book......." she thought studying him. Poseidon clicked and chirped impatiently. "I can't play right now.."she muttered resting her hand on his silver back, a silver bracelet glinting in the sun on her wrist. She had one on each wrist and ankle.

Joshua snickered as he heard Lucian's thoughts. He ignored the fact that the sea-dragon was currently clinging to him. 'I'll find something shiny at my for you.' He thought, amused by Lucian's love on shiny things. Joshua watched Rosalina, seeing how she took to the dragon. Though he glanced around, watching to see if Katalina would come. He kinda of wished she would, yet at the same time, Joshua wished that the sea could have remained his secret.

Lucian’s eyes focused on her bracelets and stared at them. His head tilted to the side as he reached out and took her wrist. He pulled her to him then tried to get the bracelet off of her. He was dead set on getting them now and tried to get them quickly, letting out a frustrated growl at his confusion on how to work them. Lucian wasn’t even paying attention to anything else now, not the humans, not the dolphin squeaking…just the bracelets and the shininess. 'Shiny...shiny...me want shiny...'

Joshua laughed outright as Lucian went after the bracelets. He looked to Rosalina. "In case you can't tell, he's dead set upon those bracelets of yours. Lucian," Joshua gestured to the sea-dragon. "Likes shiny things. Likes, as in, steals at the first opportunity."

Rosalina couldn't help but laugh at Lucian's childish antics. With practiced ease she slipped out of his grip and took off all four bracelets. "You may have them. I am Rosalina. It is an honor to meet you Lucian"she said holding the bracelets out to him. She grinned. "When I was little, before my mother died she would tell me stories of people like Lucian. Up until my eighth birthday when she passed away I would insist, to others humor, that such things were real. It was a family joke."she added chuckling.

Lucian quickly took the bracelets and slipped them on his arm. Without looking up he said, “Lucian…Lucian Rosalina…Rosalina Lucian…Joshua Rosalina…” He continued to play with the new bracelets he received. “Lucian likes Rosalina now two…” He looked up and gave her a big smile then wrapped his arm back around Joshua’s again.

Joshua smiled. "I gave convincing others. I'd stopped for so long, that I don't know who was more surprised when I first met one of the others." He was careful not to mention Katalina's name, nor where they had met. "Though, the sea still had it's attraction. My parents hated my fascination with the sea." His laugh was slightly bitter. Joshua glanced down as Lucian reattached to his arm. "Are you going to stay there or something?" Joshua asked jokingly. He didn't mind at all.

Lucian glanced up at Joshua then back down at the bracelets. He continued to shake them, enjoying the clinging noise as he said, “Lucian stay here, Lucian likes Joshua.” He stopped moving and sniffed the air. His stomach made a loud rumbling noise and he sunk into the water again, only showing his eyes.

Joshua smiled. He was glad the sea-dragon liked him. It was nice to have some friends. His smile turned into a laugh as he heard Lucian's stomach growl. "I guess I did promise you food." Joshua looked questioningly at Rosalina. "I'm heading back to shore for food. Do you want to come?"

Lucian looked at Joshua with wide eyes, “Lucian wants to come…let’s go let’s go.” He started to tug at his hand, trying to drag him to shore. The sooner they get there the sooner he gets fed.
