After perhaps a bit of walking on their own, Ophelia found herself glancing up at Kaistern with a broadening grin taking place upon her lips. She murmured a simple but pleasant "I love you." before they arrived at the small business. Having originally expected to come alone, she made sure to bring plenty of money for bribe fees concerning the information she needed. It was nice to know that such money could be spent on sweets instead of some moron's vices.

"You should know by now that you don't need to keep saving up money, right?" Kaistern said with an amused smile, seeing her loaded money purse as they walked arm in arm.

"I know, but I'll still do so anyway." Ophelia offered Kaistern a quick kiss on the cheek before she continued on. "I like knowing that every now and then I can do something with my own skill and might. Even if that means just spending money I've earned and saved up on my own." Even now, how frequently she'd been targeted by certain individuals for attempted murder or kidnapping still bothered her quite a bit.

"What, is the royal stash not good enough for you?" Kaistern joked with a smile. "Just because you're going to be queen doesn't mean you'll just get to sit there and look pretty; you'll still have plenty to do even after you're crowned."

"That's good to know. I want to be as useful as possible for you." Ophelia had no problem admitting this as she looked over the treats for sale, wondering if she would buy one for herself or just let Kaistern get his fill. "Now, what do you want to eat?"

After picking out a chocolate croissant for himself, he went ahead and got something for Ophelia, and a small bag of other random things for the guards that had come with them, paying for it all before he gave her the chance to take out her purse.

Ophelia pouted at Kaistern. "You pamper me once again. At least one day I'd like to be the one that does the pampering." she complained softly, sulking a little as she ate her treat. Not that she was unhappy, of course, for nothing could be further from the truth. She just sometimes felt as if she relied on him too much and caused more trouble than she was worth.

"I hope you realize that's going to be difficult with how I've already been living up til now." Kaistern pointed out as he handed the bag of extra goodies to the guards, who were confused yet pleasantly surprised by the human treats as the group headed home.

Ophelia moved closer to murmur quietly in his ear, "I'll find something servants can't do for you that I can. Just you wait and see." That was more of an innuendo than she'd intended. Not that she noticed until immediately afterwards, her face reddening up once more. "I...I'll shut up now." At least she was genre savvy enough to know when to quit while she was behind.

Kaistern was a little surprised at how seductive that was, even if it was unintentional, and chuckled a bit after blushing slightly. "And here I thought you'd want to wait until after the wedding to do things like that." he murmured back.

"Well...I...erm..." Ophelia was indeed embarassed with herself now. At this point, though, there was no point in shying away. "Waiting would be...the proper course of action. Not waiting though...well...I'm comfortable either way. I won't pressure you to do anything you'd rather not." She felt as if she were going to die of embarassment, sure, but at least she got that out now instead of an even more awkward situation later.

Kaistern just smiled, though it wasn't telling of his thoughts one way or the other. "Maybe we should save this discussion for later, hm?" he whispered back, glancing at one of the guards flying close to them.
