"I'm sure she will. I think you're starting to grow on her, now that she's starting to realize just how madly in love I am with you." Daemon said with a smile.

"I think you're right about that." Larai murmured in reply.

(And I just had the wierdest image come to mind of Daemon wearing this old maroon bathrobe my dad has. o.O)

"By the way, I'm glad you two aren't on the verge of glaring holes into each other anymore." Daemon joked giving her a kiss on the cheek.

"We're not perfect, but we'll do our best to make things work. I'm sure of it."

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"I couldn't ask for anything more. I'm just glad to have some hope that we can be a whole family." Daemon said with a smile. "Milly never really had a mother, after all."

 

[M3Gnificent]

"I'll do my best with that." Larai laughed weakly. "I can't guarantee how well I'll do, but I'll at least try."

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"Give it some time. I'm sure she'll learn to love you eventually." Daemon assured her. "You are marrying her father after all."

 

[M3Gnificent]

"That's true." Larai then rested her head against his shoulder once more. "Even if she doesn't ever come to accept me, at least I have you."

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"Aw, don't say that. She's probably just suspicious that I'll cheat again and doesn't want to get attached. That, and she never did like any of my mistresses..." Daemon said with slight disgust at his past life.

 

[M3Gnificent]

If only because she was curious, Larai asked, "Did she ever say why? Or was this just some angry fit of rebellion then?"

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"I don't know really." Daemon admitted. "I'd guess it was either because I payed more attention to them than I did her, or because a small number tried to gush over her in an attempt to get on my good side....I can't say for sure."

 

[M3Gnificent]

"I find it hard to imagine her hating them that much over something so simple. At least, not when she was that young." Larai said with a small frown. Now she was almost considering asking Milly herself just to see her answer. "Did any of them ever try to hurt her?" she asked.

 

[Zelly-fangirl]

"Not that I know of. I certainly don't remember her mentioning anything of the sort." Daemon said thoughtfully.

 

[M3Gnificent]

"She doesn't strike me as the type to talk about her troubles that often." Larai noted out loud. "I mean, look at how much pent up over the years made her snap like that. She probably would've endured it better if she had somebody aside from an emotionless book to talk to..."

"I know; I hope that'll change over time though. I want to try and be the father she hoped to have before." Daemon said.
