Kaistern's way of telling her not to worry about it so much was giving her a small kiss on the cheek and putting an arm around her waist, as she sat in front of him on their shared griffin. Normally the queen would likely have a mount of her own, but it was a small group going a short distance from town, so Kaistern thought they could break the rules a bit.

Ophelia did soon stop worrying, and perhaps taking a little more liberty than she should in public, leaned lightly against Kaistern as they flew back to the city.

"I wouldn't be surprised if the guards started volunteering for trips to human settlements now. Maybe I shouldn't have bought them some treats too." Kaistern said with a little chuckle as he headed back to his room and the guards went back to their posts.

"At least we know the guards don't mind humans too much anymore." Or at least they didn't openly voice it. Whether anyone liked it or not, Ophelia had plenty of influence within the royal court. She was headed towards her own room for the moment being, deciding that she would get some reading done unless Kaistern wished to continue their discussion from earlier. Gods knew that she wouldn't be the one to do it.

After my speech during the celebration some weeks ago, I think people have genuinely started to accept the idea--and you." Kaistern said with a smile, though he took her hand to stop her before she slipped into her room. "You know you can change rooms now, right?" He wasn't suggesting they get it on or anything, just that they were engaged and there was no issue with sharing a bed now like any other soon-to-be-married couple.

Ophelia, thankfully, knew Kaistern too well to get the illusion that this was some sort of raunchy pass. "If you wish it, I shall." A warm smile lit up upon her lips as she waited calmly for his reply.

"Don't think you'll break me that easilly." Ophelia teased back, grinning like a fool before long had passed. "I don't say 'if you wish it' because I suddenly have no will of my own. I say it because I want to know you want it just as much as I do. Whether it be something as simple as where we sleep to the more...complicated aspects of our lives." That sounded a lot more romantic and a lot less stupid in her head.

{I took a peek earlier, but I don't normally go to tumblr so I'm having a little difficulty traveling beyond the linked page. But I'll figure it out. XD

Ophelia moved her arms to tightly embrace Kaistern, her heart warmed once more by his loving self. "You always know the sweetest things to say, I swear..." She snuggled him a little bit as she then added in, "..in that case, you already know my answer."

((Not that hard really. :3 I gave you the last page of the 4C archives, since that's the beginning. Older pages are at the bottom and newer ones are at the top, so you look at the stuff going bottom to top and then go forward through the archives with the 'previous' button. And voila! "You complain about my being modest, yet here you are, just as quick to deflect a compliment as I am." Ophelia couldn't help but chuckle a little bit as well. It was good that the guards weren't around to see this, lest they get diabetes from the sugar overdose that was this conversation.
