Mhm... school networks are weird sometimes at my university too. Like... how my DS doesn't connect to my school's wireless networks (in certain buildings - like my dormitory) even though it has been granted authorization. It's sort of hard to Web Browse on a DS when the network won't let you.

The network at school with us is really slow, it won't let anything from Youtube load ><

Perhaps the network is monitoring/throttling connections to/from YouTube? I know my school does monitoring and throttling when people try to use certain peer-to-peer clients.
