Logic chuckled happily and bent forward to touch his nose to Marie's. "It's nice to meet you, Marie. I'm Logic and this is Makai." he squeaked. He was about to say something else, but he heard a new, stranger's voice. He tensed up, but stayed stationary, hoping it was the person he heard the mermaid talking with.

Mellow tried and tried again but couldn't get back up for air.
his small supply of air was depleting quickly. His sight started to get foggy. why does it have to end like this? Mellow thought.

Persephanie heared splashing and veered right. She saw someone who seemed to be drowning and quickly swam to his side. This one hesitent hand, she grabbed Mellow by his collar and started to swim for shore.

Katalina noted a little rowboat, lying on the water, flipped over. Curious, she swam towards it to examine it.
Frantic thrashing nearby caught her attention. She spun around in the water, and saw a little human boy - surely no more than ten - flopping around in the water like a dying fish, another mermaid holding him up.
Embarrassed - she felt like she was watching something too important for her to see - she turned away, caught the edge of the boat, and flipped it over before pushing it a little towards the other mermaid and continuing on her way.

As Nei headed to the human town, she danced around and sang to herself. Her silvery hair flowed behind her, and her sky blue eyes sparkled like gems.
