"Why do you need land to show power?" He then asked, still confused. "Land is land and doesn't really show anything in my opinion. Master wants the land so he doesn't have to keep everyone in their cards. He likes letting them out and they enjoy running around in the forest. He's also growing in power with that book as well. He only fights you so he can keep us safe. He admires your strength, but not your reasons for using them..." Koniu said to her, scratching his ear.

"Oh, but if I own the land, no one will touch me. They can't come for me in full force because humans have justified protection against magic battles because they are weak and puny" Win said and finally revealed why she wanted the land so badly, "Besides, those corrupt government bastards will only make the people suffer as long as they're in charge. I find it so peculiar that the people whose wishes I granted ended up being very happy. Perhaps, if the overcharged taxes and the nonsensical rules were put away, everyone in town will never need to ask for wishes to be granted ever again. Then again, if people stop asking for wishes from me, I'll run out of business and most likely die. Then again, I'm just human. I'm bound to die one day anyway" She began to smile at the morbid thought.

Koniu listened to her plan, still confused with the words she said, not knowing what a "government" is or what "taxes" are and such. "Uh... Why not just live peacefully like what Master Nicholas wants?" He then asked.

Win sighed. "That's impossible. I'm not like him. I don't know his secrets to immortality but for me, I will always be directly involved with the people. After all, I make deals with people. There will always be scandal" Win shook her head, "As far as I can see, main reasons why townspeople are so desperate to ask wishes from me is because of the people who step on them." She sighed, "I ask for a lot of life force from them because it takes up a lot of energy to do the things they generally ask me to do for them. And with all these challenges from Nicholas, my body is seriously taking its toll. I think that's why I suffered heavy damage from that single shot and fell unconscious. I... need to take the land... By the end of the month. I honestly don't think I'll make it even if I receive five more lifetimes"

"I can sense how strong you are..." Koniu said, his eyes shining a light blue towards her. "Your amazing strong already and have enough energy to live for approximately 67 more years, about another lifetime in human years." Koniu said, his eyes returning to normal. "If you continue to fight Master Nicholas however, you lifespan will in fact continue to decrease until that lifespan is drained..." He then said, a sad look on his puppy-dog face. "Please don't keep fighting with my Master... I don't want you to lose your lifespan... There was something else I sensed as you talked to him earlier... it was an unknown aura... one I've never seen emitted from you before for how long I've seen your aura the same color..." Koniu said... not knowing why he was sharing this information with her.

Win shook her head, "No, no. It's not about the lifespan. I can choose to get a lifetime everyday if I pleased but... It's the magic. The magic force is draining inside of me" She said, looking at her hand, not quite sure either why she was sharing things. She then looked to Koinu when it said her aura changed. "Changed? How?" She asked.

"Well I can't sense that because of the recent events that made you just about powerless." He said, back to scanning her aura. "When I first saw you, your aura was a Dark grey, meaning you feared your loss of powers with a hint of red because you were angered by it. But it changed as you talked with Master Nicholas, mostly when you were apologizing. The darker colors went away, and a yellow aura began to form, showing shyness, maybe nerves." He said to her, just telling her how he sees it. "Master Nicholas's aura relatively stays a brown color, meaning he's humble and has a gentle heart. It only changes when he's fighting you though. It changes into a golden orange for his creativity in battle." He said to her, just giving some example of change.
(Sorry if I mess any of the auras up. I tried to do my best with them)

Win nodded, saying, "Well, I've never had to apologize to someone before so that explains it" She shrugged, getting up. "Anyway, I'm bored. Wanna freeze a lake over and go ice skating?" She grinned.

Nicholas returned, seeing that the two of them were talking. He has some dishes with him, going over to clean them. "Did you enjoy your breakfast?" He asked Win. "Koniu, why didn't you go eat with the others? Hold on, let me get you some food too." He than said getting a smaller plate for him so her could eat.

"Yeah. Didn't know you cooked. It's pretty good, I guess" Win said to Nicholas before continuing, "Hey, I'm really bored. If we're not going to battle today, I can freeze over a lake, right? You said this pendant works and well, that's simple elemental magic" She broke into a short laugh, remembering that she couldn't teleport or go in style at supersonic speed.

"Freeze over a lake? Well... I guess there's no harm in that. The lake here is deprived of any wildlife anyway and it's pretty small too so sure." He said to her, seeing her laugh and smile. "I can go too. My pets can go out and play too which is nice." He then added, putting the cleaned dishes away.

"It's a date then!" Win said abruptly before widening her eyes and turned around blushing. She corrected herself quickly, "Err, deal. It's a deal then!" Too bad her skates were at home. Then again, she could improvise with any metal and bend it at will using its elemental properties although it would take much more time than if she had her broom. Oh how non-magical life sucked for the magical.

Nicholas just smiled. He knew what she meant anyway and grabbed his scarf. I'm going to go tell the rest of my pets that they can play outside. The lake is a only a few minutes away. Koniu knows where it is so he can lead the way for you." He said to her as he put his scarf on and went to go tell his summons where they will be and that they can play outside.

"Alright" Win said to Nicholas and let Koinu lead her to the site. The lake was pretty big... Compared to a pond. Then again, that should be assumed. Win's pendant began to glow and without hesitation, she started walking on the water, the water underneath, turning to ice as she took steps. She expanded the ice effects to a radius of about three feet around her as the water in that vicinity turned to ice as well. In minutes, the entire lake was covered in ice. Win sat down on the grass around it and took out about five thick metal bracelets, dropping them down on the floor and taking off her shoes as she used her pendant to gradually form them into skates attached to the soles of her shoes. It took a bit of time and concentration to do it. She did not let her focus be broken as she channeled more magical energy into forming the metals. No doubt, it would lead to some headache and dizziness later on but the effects were temporary. They would be definitely worth it.
