Sitting there, stewing, Gin huffed, not liking that he was being kept waiting like this. While he waited, he felt his eyes move up and down a couple of times – this was Sokea’s silent signal that he was coming to find him. Smiling slightly to himself, he huffed again, this time in a good way. Sokea always had perfect timing – it was like he knew that he was upset about something.
Before he knew it, Sokea was running through the class and right into his arms. Holding Sokea close, he pressed his face against his boyfriend’s neck and held him tightly. When Sokea released him and stepped back he frowned a bit, his ears going flat against his head. He didn’t like that he had to let his boyfriend go. At least Sokea took his hand and stayed close instead of fully retreating. Grasping Sokea’s hand, he shook his head ‘no’ at his teasing question. Gin appreciated what Sokea was trying to do, but it wasn’t enough to make him laugh or even smile.
“Something is very wrong, Sokea.” He whispered, drawing Sokea closer. Luckily for him, Ven’s little meeting was over and he came over shortly thereafter to speak with him. Swallowing hard, Gin ground his teeth together and shook his head. “Ven, something is very wrong. Otsanda’s in trouble.” Gin stated evenly as he looked his professor in the eye. Gin greatly respected and loved the man, much like he would a father, if there was anyone he trusted to believe him, it was Papa Bear.
“I had a vision…a female wolf, pure white, petite, with haunting eyes - just like Otsanda's - locked in a cage, whimpering, begging to be released.” He knew that Ven might argue that the wolf could have just been that, a wolf, but shifters could recognize other shifters – there was an intelligence in their eyes that no animal could mimick… “Otsanda is in danger, it might already be too late, Ven. I don’t know what to do…but if what Kissa just said is true, she’s been missing for longer than we thought.” The only question was, how long had she been gone and where the hell was she? Gin knew, deep down, that nothing good would come from his vision…

  [ - Enter Ven into Shifter Class for New Day - ]
For once, Ven arrived well before his students. With the warmer weather, he’d felt more inclined to leave Gia’s home and head to the Academy to attend to his class. Gin, practically his adoptive son, had accompanied him after staying at Gia’s house the night of the Gala and through the free day as well. Seating in his usual seat, he looked miserable. Apparently, he and his boyfriend Sokea had yet to make-up after their fight. Gin still hadn’t revealed all the details of the argument, but whatever had been said, it’d hit the kid hard.
Dressed in his usual bundle of cloaks, Ven sat in his chair and flipped through the latest assignment he’d assigned the class, a small frown on his face. According to Gannon and Reynard, Otsanda was truly missing. He didn’t have any details, but she’d been gone for more than a few days. It seemed like his already small class was shrinking. Gin and Jesse could always be counted upon to attend his lessons but Kissa and Karri where the wild cards, and now that Otsanda was gone, his class was that much smaller.
Releasing a sigh, he placed the assignments aside and rubbed at his face. His instinct to hibernate was strong, despite the warmer day. All he wanted to do was take a nap. Scratching the back of his head, Ven looked out the window, maybe today was a good day to have an outside lesson…

[ - Enter Gin into Shifter Classroom for New Day - ]
With his head down on the desk, Gin let out a long, and low sigh. Ears flat against his head, he looked as down in the dumps as he felt. Sokea still wasn’t speaking to him and he hated it. Their argument had been…awful. Thinking back on it, he regretted everything he said, even if he’d been right. Whether he’d been right or wrong didn’t matter to him anymore, all he wanted was his boyfriend back, but Sokea was purposefully avoiding him and refusing to speak to him – this only made Gin even more miserable.
Their fight had been about Otsanda. Gin’s concern for her, and his determination to try to help her had made Sokea doubt his dedication to him. This had caused Gin to not only get defensive, but to blurt out that he’d wanted Sokea for his mate, to which Sokea hadn’t believed him, practically throwing the declaration back in his face. For a shifter male, that was beyond harsh and the equivalent of stomping on someone’s heart. Gin knew full well that Sokea was just scared of losing him, he was jealous of the attention and energy that Gin was dedicating toward Otsanda and the effort to find her. So it was understandable that he would get upset. Sokea was worried about Otsanda too, but fear did strange things to people and it had caused Sokea to doubt his boyfriends love and affection for him.
Honestly the last thing Gin had wanted to do was go to class but considering that he’d stayed at Gia’s house after the Gala and for the entire free day, there was no ditching out on Ven’s class. Nope. Papa Bear had woken him up and dragged his butt out of bed and to the Academy for class. So here he was, utterly miserable and wishing that he could just lay in bed, sulking while he tried to figure out a way to make up with Sokea…

~ Leaving Fiona and Jesse's Room for Shifter Class ~
Jesse still felt quite bad about her new Roommate being allergic to her... She'd had such a wonderful time with Nanashi and Fiona - she was still a little unsure about Ivar, but the male seemed to have put on a brave face and joined in their day.
After taking great care to dress as carefully as she could - so not to irritate any of Fiona's allergies - Jesse would allow her roommate the opportunity to leave first before taking a moment to finish getting ready, then, once dressed, the Fennec Child would take on her Fox-Form and take a good run down towards her Shifter Class.
As per usual, Jesse would return to her human form before entering the class - it was so much easier than to attempt to jump and flick-twist the handle with her paws - A previous attempt had left more than an impact on her pride, but that didn't mean she wouldn't try it again sometime.
Stepping inside, her large ears would flick backwards as she picked up on the mood in the room. Still somewhat uncertain as to Ostanda's disappearance, she would put on a sweet smile and greet her tutor before making her way towards her seat, "Morning Gin," she would widen her smile at the male, hoping it might brighten him up a little before sitting down, "Kinda nice out there again, if a little cold..." she would attempt some conversation, but inevitably fell silent, her ears flopping outwards as she found there was little more to say with such a strange feeling in the room...

Ven looked up as Jesse entered the room. It wasn’t hard to read the energy in the room – as shifters they could pick up on those sorts of vibes easily where as normal humans hard a harder time. To her credit, Jesse didn’t let it deter her from being her normal, friendly, wonderful self. She was one of his favorite students. Jesse was always eager to learn and volunteer when needed. Where Gin was grumpy and dark, Jesse was cheerful and light. Honestly, he was glad to see the two getting along. Maybe Jesse could help lighten Gin’s mood a little.
Giving the two a few minutes to chat idly, Ven eventually moved around his desk and leaned against it. Crossing his arms over his chest, he frowned a little – the shifter twins had yet to arrive and he had a feeling that they wouldn’t be attending class. Sighing a little, he shook his head, he really needed to have a chat with them about attendance. If they didn’t start coming to class, they wouldn’t progress, and they wouldn’t graduate. Then again, as Royals, they could get their education at any Academy they wished – not that that was a valid excuse, but it was a mind set that they likely had, unfortunately.
“Good Morning, Jesse. Did you enjoy the Gala?” He asked with a friendly smile and air. He’d seen her at the event, dressed prettily and dancing with a few of her peers. Ven hoped that the Academy put on more events like the Gala in the future – the students had really seemed to enjoy themselves and it had helped lighten the mood a bit.

Gin lifted his head up a little when he heard Jesse’s friendly greeting. Looking her in the eye, he gave her a little nod and a small smile. “Morning, Jesse.” In the past, Gin would have ignored a greeting like that, even if it had come from a friendly shifter like Jesse. But thanks to Sokea, he’d opened up a bit and now, he saw the value in playing nice and making friends. Thus, he didn’t blatantly ignore her, even if he still felt down in the dumps.
Looking toward the window, he could see how sunny it was outside. He vaguely remembered it being a bit warmer this morning on the walk over, but he’d been distracted as well, distracted by thoughts of Sokea. “Yeah…I guess it is.” He said with a small smirk, looking back at Jesse.
Seeing Ven move around his desk, Gin knew that he was going to get the class started. To his surprise, Ven addressed Jesse instead and asked her if she’d enjoyed the Gala. Gin looked towards her with curiosity. He’d attended the Gala, but only briefly. It had been a grand affair, but he hadn’t particularly enjoyed it, given the circumstances. Propping his chin in his hand, he gave Jesse a teasing look. “Did you dance with anyone?” He asked playfully, feeling a bit better.

Her ears would perk up as Ven broke the silence with his friendly tone, enquiring how she had found the Gala - Recalling how much fun she'd had, the Fennec Child would lift her gaze and glance towards the bear with a grin,
"Oh! It was wonderful!" she would beam, "I had so much fun!" The pair had obviously given her back her spark and she almost forgot the initial gloom of the room, "Fidal picked me up and walked me to the Gala where we met up with Nanashi," As Gin jokingly asked if she had danced with anyone, Jesse would go into detail as to how uncertain she'd been having never really danced before, but Nanashi had taken her up on the offer and they'd danced together for a while until Fidal had returned with drinks.
"It was a shame Nanashi had to leave when he did, but then I spent the rest of the evening dancing with Fidal," she'd appreciated the practice session she'd gained from starting with the young male, but it had been a night to remember and even after Fidal had walked her back to the dorms, she'd fallen asleep happy. "I think I could still use some practice, but I'd definitely try again if they held another event," She would be unaware of her tail swaying happily from side to side, but as she spotted her tan appendage from the order of her eye, she would become distracted and quickly reach out.
Although she knew Fiona wasn't there, Jesse's whole demeanour would change ever so slightly as she tried to keep herself under control... Silently, she reminded herself she needed to keep her tail still - perhaps as practice for when they were together? It was quite out of character for the Fennec Child however and although she was still happy in regards to telling her tale of the Gala, she was noticeably unsettled...

Ven was happy to know that Jesse had enjoyed the Gala so much. Despite his desire to stay indoors and hibernate as much as he could during these winter months, he’d also been glad he’d attended the Gala. With his lovely Gia on his arm, he’d felt like he could do anything, conquer any battle. She was his strength and he had loved seeing her all dressed up in her elegant gown. She truly was the most beautiful women he’d ever seen – and she wanted him. He still couldn’t believe it…
Smiling a little to himself, he listened to Jesse regale the details of her night. It seemed that the young fennec fox had a possible suitor, one that he’d need to keep an eye on. With her tail wagging, it was clear that the memories Jesse had made would stick with her for years to come, and he was happy for her. But after a few moments, Jesse seemed to realize something, and her tail stopped wagging, an unknown expression coming over her face.
“Jesse?’ What’s wrong?” He hadn’t anticipated her suddenly becoming sad, especially after she’d been so excited. Had something happened? Was she remembering a certain part of the event that had upset her?

Although he hadn’t really enjoyed the Gala, Gin was glad that Jesse had enjoyed herself. He didn’t know who ‘Fidal’ was, but he seemed like a good guy. Gin was well aware of Nanashi’s reputation and he wasn’t thrilled knowing that the male was seemingly courting Jesse, but then again, Jesse was mature enough to choose who she hung out with, even if he thought she deserved better. Cheek propped in his palm, he leaned into his desk and watched Jesse’s face light up as she talked about the dancing and all that she experienced.
Her tail wagging and smile were clear indications that she’d thoroughly enjoyed herself, and he was glad. Gin had hoped to share a magical evening with Sokea as well, but…well, perhaps they’d share a dance some other time. Listening to Jesse, he noticed how she suddenly seemed to remember or realize something, which caused the light in her eyes to fade as her expression changed and her swishing tail stilled. Ears tipping back, he frowned.
Ven had seen the change in her as well and immediately asked if she was alright. It was clear that something was wrong, but Gin suspected that Jesse would play it off. She was too nice and considerate to burden others with her problems. But that didn’t mean and he and Ven wouldn’t try to get her to talk about what was bothering her. “Who do I have to beat up? Nanashi? Cause if that punk did something to upset you…” He growled lightly, his hackles rising at the thought of Jesse getting hurt. He felt like a protective bi brother again…

Jesse would lift her head suddenly as she realised the pair had noticed her normally chipper nature had waned to something less than jovial, "Oh! No, It's not Nanashi, he's been really nice to me," She wouldn't realise it immediately, but later on she would realise how protective Gin was and she would appreciate that greatly. At that moment in time however, she would hug her tail close, straightening out some of the fur around the tip before looking around, "...It's nothing really, well..."
She would be quiet for some time, thinking over how exactly she could word it before realising they were waiting patiently for an answer,"Have you ever...erm..." her ears would flick outward slightly, "I mean... My friend...is..." she bit her lip then shook her head, pulling herself together as best she could, "It's not her fault, but my roommate... well...she's allergic to me...and I don't really know what to do." she would drop her gaze again, feeling really bad as she didn't like to cause those she considered friends any discomfort...
She had wanted to ask the pair if they had ever known someone to be allergic to them before, but well, having blurted all that out, the Fennec Child hadn't really wanted to say anything more without upsetting them by being upset at herself...

Ven had to admit, he was glad that Nanashi wasn’t the cause of Jesse’s sudden change of mood – if that boy knew what was good for him, he’d think twice about hurting Jesse in any way, shape or form. But listening patiently as Jesse spoke, he was surprised to hear that her roommate, was allergic to her. How could that have happened? Canine allergies were so very rare…
Glancing at Gin, Ven cleared his throat for a moment and shook his head. “Unfortunately, no. I haven’t run into anyone who was allergic to bears…but if I did I would find it rather odd and a bit fascinating.” He’d never heard of a bear allergy, but you never knew…
“As far as what to do, well, there are a few options…” While Ven had planned on having them go through the lesson, with only two students present, and Jesse’s current emotional state and predicament, Ven felt that the class time was much better suited to helping Jesse with her problem, and thus, he and Gin discussed various options that she could try to help the situation at hand. Some of them included keeping the dorm extra clean, especially of hair, as that was what many people were allergic to. Taking extra baths or refraining from being in her fennec form when in her roommate’s presence.
The last option was the most extreme – change of roommate. But, if after all the other options had been exhausted, if Jesse and her roommate still weren’t comfortable, then for everyone’s sake, a change of roommate might be best. By the time their discussion had concluded, a good majority of the class time had passed and Ven was inclined to dismiss Jesse and Gin for the day.
“Aright you two, while we didn’t do what I’d planned for the day, I still think we had a productive day. Read the next chapter in the text and we’ll discuss it next class. That being said, get outta here…” Ven said with a friendly smile, shooing them away with his hands.

Like Ven, Gin was glad to know that Nanashi hadn’t been an idiot and thought to cross Jesse in a bad way. The punk was just that, a punk, and if he knew what as good for him he’d keep away from Jesse’s heart. Much like Ven, Gin hadn’t heard much about ‘canine allergies’ and as such, he didn’t have any experience with it. But after some brainstorming, the three of them seemed to come up with a few options to help Jesse figure out how to co-habitate with her roommate without causing either of them too much discomfort. Only time would tell if things would work out for the two girls, but Gin hoped they came to some sort of arrangement – Jesse seemed pretty dismayed by the fact that her roommate was allergic to her, but it wasn’t her fault.
As Ven excused them for the day, Gin got up from his chair and wished Jesse a good night before he stretched and yawned. Gin had been staying at Ven and Gia’s place and seeing as how he hadn’t heard from Sokea, he felt it was best to give Sokea some room. Maybe tomorrow at Advanced Combat they could talk…
After gathering their things, Ven and Gin headed for the door together. Gia joked that Gin was her and Ven’s son and that he needed to just move in with them already. While he was due to graduate at the end of the semester, he didn’t want to intrude on the couple’s lives too much, he already felt like a burden and he didn’t want to be. But Gia was being pretty insistent. Depending on how things went with Sokea, he might not have any other choice…

The Fennec Child had to admit, the only reason people would technically be allergic to bears was for fear of their lives, not through an actual allergy, but the suggestions Ven gave were certainly something to consider.
Jesse was a rather clean creature, bathing every other day but as her tutor's words were definitely something to take in - she already bathed regularly, but an extra one wouldn't hurt, and of course, remaining human when in Fiona's presence... That could be somewhat difficult as she often liked curling up beneath her covers in her Fennec Form...
"I hope it doesn't come to that..." Jesse dropped her gaze at the mention of perhaps seeking a new roommate, but if it got to such a point that the Diviner couldn't be in the Shifter's presence, then perhaps it would have to be... But she would try his other suggestions first!
As Ven dismissed the class, Jesse was already coming up with ideas to make Fiona's stay a lot more comfortable - After bidding the pair farewell, the Fennec Child would head back to their dorm room and immediately set to dusting and clearing up any trace of fur she may have shed. After opening a few windows to let the cool air drift through, she would head off for a quick bath in the hopes that would also make her roommate's stay more pleasant.

~ Leaving Fiona and Jesse's Room for the Shifter Classroom ~
Jesse had enjoyed her free day outside the Academy and had used much of her time taking a good run around the marketplace - Her initial intention had been to see what the vendors had to offer, but inevitably resulted in searching for anything that might aid her roommate in her allergies. Sadly she had returned with little more than a small bag of Lavender which could mask certain scents and some salve for any itchiness, but if it was to help, then it was all for the better, right?
With little more than that to offer her roommate, Jesse had instead taken to her new routine of tidying up their room and ensuring everything was free of any fur that might have fallen from her tail and ears. She had promptly fallen asleep on her bed after that and slept through until morning when she rose to find she had in fact Shifted into her Fennec Form at some point during the night...
Mortified that she'd allowed such a thing to happen, Jesse returned to her human form and bundled up her sheets, hoping to create as little disturbance as she could before grabbing her things and leaving the room for class.
Once she was outside the room, Jesse would re-assume her Fox Form, hoping she'd cleaned up enough of her things so that Fiona wouldn't wake up with a reaction or anything... Still, trying to remain 'In the Moment' as best as she could, the Fennec Child would waste little time in making her way to class.
She hoped to find out how things were getting on with Ven and Gin - she hadn't seen the pair since their previous Knit Class and the air about the room that day had been quite sombre...with the much needed distraction of her curiosity regarding Fiona's allergy towards her...
Returning to her Human Form so she could open the door, Jesse had hoped to see the class ready and waiting, but was a little surprised to find the room quite empty... Not letting this put her off however, the Fennec Child would scamper to her seat, setting up her things before lacing her fingers on the desk before her and wait patiently for people to begin arriving.

After finding Gia, Vivian and Gin in a sobbing cuddle pile, he’d taken the hint and gone down to the kitchen to cook dinner for everyone. After some coaxing, everyone came down to share a meal and to talk. By the end of the meal, everyone seemed much better – Gin was still upset, understandably so, but there were no more tears, so that was a plus.
After they’d seen Vivian off, Ven had given Gin a fatherly hug while Gia took him upstairs to give him some motherly words of advice. Gin might not have been their son, but Gia and Ven loved him like he was their flesh and blood. After a full night’s rest, the three of them shared breakfast before Ven hauled Gin out of the house to head to class. Yes, he was upset and not in the best place emotionally, but he needed a distraction and class would have to do.
Stepping into class, Ven caught sight of Jesse, seated in her seat, ready and waiting for them. The shifter twins, Kaari and Kissa had gone back to Trendel to spend time with their family after an urgent summons, leaving only Jesse and Gin as his current students. “Good Morning, Jesse.” He said as he stepped into the class, Gin not far behind.
“How’d things go with your roommate?” What Ven would have given to go back to last class when their biggest concern had been Jesse’s roommate’s allergies…But sadly, they had bigger problems now.
