55-59. You dive for a clump of Thread, and successfully find yourself turning it into harmless ash. +1 Target Accuracy
Things had been a bit unpredictable so far, with a minor threadscore and a bit of thread getting past them--but otherwise only success. They didn't let either side distract them, as Rivaeth maneuvered towards some thread. With a steady flame, precise and perfect, the thread shriveled up into ash.
26-30. As you're looking for the rogue Thread, you notice one of your wingmates in danger. You and your dragon call out warning and are lucky to see the pair respond. Quote a Wingmate and have all damage removed from their most recent roll!
90-92 A sudden gust of wind kicks up, threatening to push your dragon out of formation. Thankfully, this gust doesn't have anything on your dragon! You easily fight through it, and find your dragon isn't really winded at all. All that exercise and training seems to be paying off. +1 General Stamina
A sudden surge of air caused Rivaeth to bob a bit in the air, tilting to the side. She easily corrected, shifting back against the wind and remaining in position, despite her tiny size and delicate nature. They were doing so well. Mostly. T'kyr would brag about it later...but...the threadscore, no matter how well it was healed, might be nothing to brag about. Rivaeth reassured her that she was fine, of course.
17-20. Thread! As you dive towards it, you find yourself missing the Thread completely! It tangles and writhes onto your dragon's front leg and shoulder! Shaffit all! Moderate Damage! -5 HP
Rivaeth was fine, she insisted, as the white darted towards thread. As the thread hit the already scored section of Rivaeth's shoulder and leg, however, the white hissed, and the pair popped between...only to return into formation, moments later. The threadscore hurt, but they could hardly afford to return to the weyr early--not when they'd already needed some healing. Two trips to the weyrbowl would be too many. They'd just need to be more careful. Besides...the wound was minor, even if it was more or less on top of the already injured area.
6-15. You see a stray strand writhe out of the corner of your eye. Your rider quickly twists in her seat, and catches the errant strand with a well-timed aim of their flamethrower! +1 Target Accuracy
Injured though Rivaeth was, it was no difficulty for her to twist, tilting her wing towards Pern below, making a sharp turn just in time to destroy a freefloating thread. A burst of flame erupted from her mouth, small and controlled--and moments later, only ashes remained.
With a squeak of surprise, Zultoloth dodged a falling bag of firestone. ... E-Excuse?

... Ky'ra wasn't fast enough, and Zultoloth squeaked in dismay as a tangle of thread dropped past them. As small of a gold as she was, Zultoloth was nevertheless incapable of turning on a dime.

Small though she was, Zultoloth was nonetheless a queen, and the wind could not push her around! She gave a soft bugle, defying it.

When a sliver of thread got past the wings above, Zultoloth shook it off, and Ky'ra flamed it from the sky.

The buffeting of the wind served to send thread toward them, but with a quick prompting from Ky'ra, Zultoloth went between, and reappeared where her rider could flame it to a crisp.

A glimpse of silvery sheen caught Alya's eye, and she jerked in her seat once she realized what she was seeing. Before she could even speak to Baihath, the dragon twisted, seeing through her eyes, to char the strand to harmless ash.

Baihath screamed again, and Alya screamed with him even as he darted Between. Once he reemerged, she was trembling from head to toe, wracked with phantom shocks of agony from her lifemate. Baihath--
No! I can keep going! Her lifemate shut her out, bullying forward.
Though large for a white, Baihath was exhausted. He'd taken two major blows already, and he was reaching the limits of his stamina. A savage gust of wind chose to buffet him at that moment, and he struggled to stay in position.
