Elibrie - she/her
"Some of them look like they're really working on it," Elibrie observed, responding to Juhvek's question somewhat indirectly. The one she'd let herself get so attached to - too attached to - hadn't so much as twitched, though Happy Ghost had done a little roll. And...oh! There it was, Blue Moon was the first to hatch, a little green who was obviously feeling herself? And why shouldn't she? She was beautiful, and precious, and the world was hers.
Nisadee - she/her
Lots of wiggling, shaking, and cracking...Nisadee watched the eggs carefully, but not so carefully that she didn't notice when company arrived. Not that company hadn't been there, really, since the Candidates, while they might split into smaller groups within the whole, were hardly each standing alone. There were always neighbors, as it were. Nisadee nodded to the young man from Western who decided to join this particular section of Candidates.
"I don't mind if no one else does," she answered, only to have her attention pulled back to the eggs by the emergence of a green. Now things were really getting started!
Relku - he/him
Hello there. When the girl standing next to him on the Sands decided to make conversation, Relku didn't mind at all. He glanced over with a half-grin before focusing his gaze back on the eggs...and the green now on the Sands! "It never does get old," he agreed, seeing no point in trying to play it 'cool' and deny it. "Got any favorites?"

Kinyegele - She/Her
Kinye squeezed Lusialu's hand back - and was more than happy to be nudged along towards Yunara as things were. The more, the merrier as far as she was concerned!
Of course, it felt like no sooner were they together than did that first egg hatched and - "Oh, she's beautiful!" Kinye sighed, her obvious wistful love for greens apparent. Of course, she'd have thought any baby dragon beautiful or handsome, but none of them drew that rarely existing desire like a green did. "What do you think, for you?" Kinye asked, looking to her friend, then towards Yunara whom she was less familiar.
Oh! She was a new candidate! "Are you nervous?" ----
Kahbrohm - He/Him
And there it - she! - was! And while she was 'only' a green, Kahbrohm's appreciation didn't fade. After all, he did have a fondness for those strong greens that could be attributed entirely to one of the aunts of this clutch. "Well isn't she a sight to see!" he grinned, elbowing Jihiro as though the man wasn't already looking.
If he seemed smugly proud that he was keeping his eyes on the one egg that had both good taste and was first to hatch....well, he wouldn't deny it.
----- Draza - She/Her
Draza peered at the other girls that her sister waved to before adding one of her own. "Yes, there's certainly enough luck and baby dragons for us all today, no?" Of course, that didn't mean anything once the baby dragons got to picking. Some favored girls over boys, some were dead set, some didn't care. It was a real mystery what made any baby want someone in particular.
"Looks like she chose for us, and isn't she a sight to see?" Especially after all of that wiggling they'd all been watching up until then! Not that Draza was going to complain about being made to wait for baby dragons that were already there!
"I'd dare say...hmm....maybe that one next?" she gestured to the Moo Cow egg.
-----
Cetra - She/Her
Oh! A green was first to hatch!
Cetra was clearly delighted, even if it wasn't the auspicious 'bronze' that meant good luck or whatever it was. She was a beauty and Cetra was going to admire that.
----
Lihyo - She/Her
Lihyo leaned into that support from Mnereth with a touch of desperation - especially once the first egg hatched and their first hatched green was already on the move to greet her mother and then go on a meet-and-greet amongst the candidates.
She took a deep breath to steel her nerves. Good, open, kind thoughts. She could do that! It wasn't hard to at least feel admiration!
-----
Midrymear - He/Him
He knew that look and Midrymear smirked. "I'll be happy if any pick me," because really, wouldn't his desire for anything specific burn away when a dragon impressed to him? He'd heard stories of candidates turning away their lifemates, but...
he wasn't a fool like that.
----
Beelim - He/Him
Beelim nearly started out of his skin when Divisti spoke up, having been so intently focused on the swaying eggs and the imminent hatching of that first green. For a moment, he peered owlishly at her before he answered: "I dunno. They were kinda quiet with me so...."
He'd liked that speckled one well enough, though.
---- Niika - She/Her
Niika had barely taken a seat when the first egg hatched - and she felt that covetous desire pull at her heart as easily now as it had her entire life. The little green was beautiful and she was too far away to even earn a passing glance from any of these babies.
But she punched the thought down, using the promise of later times spent with someone dear to bolster her mood to happier, better thoughts. This would be a good hatching, even if mostly for what came later on a personal level.
----
Juhvek - He/Him
"And there's our first," Juhvek noted idly, admiring the fine build of the little green who was ready to make the world hers it looked like. "Maybe she'll come scope you two out." Juhvek wasn't even going to entertain any of these baby dragons coming to visit him just yet. Especially when there were two girls who would benefit so much more from it right there.

The Eggplant Egg, as if sensing that somebody else had hatched first, began to pitch and wobble wildly--the dragonet within was not happy about being upstaged, that much was certain. It wanted out, and it was going to do as much as possible to make sure it happened! A few stray bits of shell fell to the sand like confetti, but the hatchling still had a ways to go to actually be out.
In the process, however, Eggplant's thrashing sent it smacking into the Rainbow Egg--its sibling responded sharply, a sudden jolt rocking through its shell. Rainbow was definitely awake now, and it was paying plenty of attention to what was going on outside of the confines of its egg. One of its siblings had already hatched, and it would only be a matter of time before it was its turn.

Kedah She/her - High Reaches
Kedah could not conceal her delight when the egg that had hatched revealed a little green. What a beauty! As the daughter of a greenrider, she couldn't help but be a little partial. "Yeah, I think it's going to be something else," she agreed in a hushed whisper. Ah, little darling! Wasn't she a cute little thing? She seemed pleased enough to be out there, and they were certainly happy to have her there.
Yunara She/her - High Reaches
No sooner had Lusialu and Kinyegele settled beside her than a little green hatched from the dark blue egg. Yunara gasped, completely enthralled by the arrival of the first dragonet at the first Hatching she'd ever stood for! "Oh, what a pretty little thing!" Dimly registering that Kinye had addressed her, Yunara glanced over, trying to remember what she'd been asked. Ah, yes. "Sort of. Nervous and excited at once?" Did that describe her feelings well?
