Gwen looked up at him,"That is a positive note..", she smiled,"I'm glad that it wont be that hard to disassemble...", she told him watching him pour them drink she took a sip from her cup before reluctantly starting her story,"Years ago my family was driven into the forest as you may know I was raised and born in the woods of ebbing... things weren't so bad at first despite being driven into hiding because of our pagan belief we were still able to trade with this local village that was until the current sheriff began to take power.. He began to persecute women of our village as witches... and many of them burn.. My mother and her sister included..", she sat the cup down,"It was a terrible day the smell of burning flesh and screams of mercy... Many cried for blood but if we did that father knew we would fall.. we were not equipped enough to handle what was to come before us... so we grieved and we learned to forget... most of us...", she took in a deep gulp closing her eyes she continued her story,"4 years ago I was just starting to train learning to fight and become stronger for myself and my people was my only goal I was so bent on revenge... vengeance for those who burned vengeance for the blood that was never sated.. I was given a chance.. the sheriff was on his way back through the pass from the main city as he passed I waited in ambush I used what I could to knock him off his horse and I was prepare to kill him; though I did not know father was also nearby as well.. he pulled me off him and the sheriff in a fit of anger and rage began to attack father he beat him so brutally he was never the same again afterwards I got away only cause I was told to run and not look back... I was so foolish", she clenched her fist into her lap,"Not only did father never come back to his senses after that the village stopped trading with us because he spread horrible rumors they would attack you on sight.. I hurt my family and my people in one bad decision and I had to live with the guilt and pain of it for four years...", she took in a deep breathe,"When we returned I decided to tell everyone the truth I was punished and sat vigil for 3 sunrises and then I was made the new chieftain.. I will not longer be able to go alone anymore anywhere.. my people thing I am priceless.. but to me they are the ones that I cherish the most...they are the most priceless they are the most precious to me", she covered her face,"I'm a foolish person arthur.. I nearly ruined myself and my people.. I forced us to steal because it was either that or we starved.... I made us become bandits and I made us have to go into deeper hiding because of vengeance on something that happened years ago..", she wiped the few tears that rolled down her eyes,"I never thanked you...", she said looking up,"For saving my life";

Arthur listened to her tail and closes his eyes.and then looks out the window as she finished and he spoke."I am much the same as You Gwen I yearn for vengeance and my fire still burns,the king of the land turned his back on my town and killed all who stood against him,I lost everything but this sword as I told you before."He says truing to her."We are all humans we make mistakes some big some small all we can do is learn form them and make sure we don't make them again and grow strong for our failures in the past."He says with a smile."And you need not thank me."He says and then heads to the door."Come with me I want to show you."He says as he leads her to the house that was build and walks inside,(Think like a bunkhouse) it was large and had many rooms set up it had no beds yet but the house was done."We have another one going up next to this one for more people,once they are both done and your people move in and can start making a life for themselfs then single houses can be built for them we even have land marked off for livestock and farms,its not much but it is a start."He says looking over at her.

Gwen looked up at him remembering what he said about losing everyone around him his parents both to the burning flames of war at least she had her father even if being unstable was her own fault.. perhaps the guilt of her own mistake is why she felt so bad because she knew she couldn't reverse it.. it was true she was to nit picky about what she did from then on preferring to save others before herself she wouldn't allow anyone to go into town unless it was her.. she made sure during raids she was the first to approach and speak she wouldn't make such a terrible mistake again.. it cost way to much; She got up and followed him they headed out of the manor and down the road it wasn't long until they came to the first home they walked in it was wide and spacious a place of comfort of safety for them all.. she looked over at him in the glowing moonlight through the open windows since the shutters weren't drawn,"This is more than enough for now.. your right we can start living normally after this...", she smiled feeling her heart warm at knowing this was a step into a different light her heart beat as she turned to him,"Arthur nothing could express more to how grateful that I am all of this than what I wish to give you now..", she approached him leaned in and kissed his lips,"My valiant knight I didn't think a man like you could exist.. and here you are..", she said quietly, touching her lips at the tingling feeling it left she turned and left out the door and ran into the mist though her heart raced with the speed of her run it raced even more at her own actions and she felt such a strange sensation inside her that yearned for her to run from what she did but turn back around and ask for more, by the time she got home it was dawn of the next morning and she had already slipped out of her portrayal as a woman in a white dress for now...

Arthur was about to say something when both his words and mouth where closed by Gwen when she kisses him and then she rain off with out letting him speak and all he did was simply smile and slightly bow and whispers."Till we meet again Gwen."He then left the house and closed the door before heading back to his manor and turned in for the night. At the brake of dawn Arthur woke to the sound or horses and men coming into the town,it was the last of the knights that wanted to join and Arthur stepped outside and seen the men training and he smiles even though the fight draws near he knew these men would fight with everything they hand and he was proud to fight along side them.

It was a long few weeks ahead gwen could visit during the day with an escort and never alone with arthur in fear she would have to explain the kiss from the night before the battle was drawing near and it was the dawn of an approaching morning when her people began to see the enemy on the march near the pass they spoke of; The town would be in lockdown mode preparing for the siege many of the people would be sent to the manor for hiding and if they failed a messenger would be sent to tell them to flee towards the northern strip of the ebbing forest where Gwen's people had a mountain hide out they used for many decades; Mid day Gwen came with her two escorts her friends gavin and elsworth from her childhood as she was brought into the war room,"We have sighted them here", she told arthur pointing at the map which showed the enemy,"We haven't much longer they will be here by nightfall and I'm not sure if they will set camp", she told him,"I have scouts in each of these points on the map", she began to take small pieces of wood showing the points on the map where her scouts were laid,"They look about 500 strong", she told him,"A little over half our forces you told me there general was inexperienced so this should will be a swift victory";

Arthur was sitting at the head of the table in the war room when Gwen came in and informed him that her scouts have seen the enemy and Arthur nods."I see so the times coming."He says and he calls the other knights to join them and he gives out the info to them and Arthur spoke."Gawain I wont you to take the horses and head to the path once night falls,we marked there trees to show the path,if you ride to fast you will miss them."He reminds him and Gawain nods."Understood we will use the cover of night to move into place."He says and Arthur nods."They wont risk coming into the woods at night they are far to superstitious."He says and then looks at Tristan."Tristan you do the same once night falls move your men into the towers and into place along the river,tell the men to get rest and eat well for tomarrow we will walk into hell."He says.

Gwen listened to him informing everyone where they would be,"I'll have my archers in there place before morn and I'll be joining my foot soliders", she bowed her head to arthur and his knights of the round table," I'll meet you at dawn pendragon", she then turned with her two escorts and left the building they had much setting up to do but she wanted to make sure that everything was in place before the end of it;

Later that night the men moved as ordered and before day brake Arthur and his knights moved out with Arthur,Lancelot and Mordred in the front some men stayed behind to protect the town and its people and as Arthur and his men marched pass the men saluted them and the people of the town where both cheering and but also cried as they left for to them these men freed them. They all came to a halt at the meeting point and once Gwen's forces joined them it was just a matter of waiting for the sounds the enemy taking fire form the archers,and Arthur puts his helm on for the first time and readies him self.

when they emerged from the woods to join arthurs forces and march towards the pass they were donned with their battle armor leather tunics crudge wooden shields spears and some of them even carried blades; Gwuen had a spear in hand and a blade at her belt she was covered in tribal blue markings from head to toe as they marched on they came to the meeting point the suspense weighed in the air; The army of 500 moved forward through the pass not stopping behind it was the generals and the prince; There was the sound of the enemy horn and as they marched forward; Just a little bit longer now.... there was a shout and archers from the back of Arthurs line started shooting arrows the raining arrows hit most of the first line good shots there army charged forward abit another rain of arrows followed from behind and then from the woods a whistle could be heard and a swarm of them came from the trees; there was a ran of arrows from all sides the army before them began to panic and became unorganized trying to determine the area in which they were coming one of the main generals was shot... then they panicked and sent there Calvary charge in the horses tore across the field they would be onto the front lines in mere minutes;

Arthur seen there small Calvary unit and yells."Sears up."And every other man in the front line brought there spear to bare but then arrows form Tristan and his men started to aim for the horses and the horse at the front drops making the ones behind it ether trample the rider or fall over them self's and Arthur then lifts his sword a sign for Gawain and his Calvary to charge and they broke out of the woods at full speed spears and pikes in hand the charge was form the rear just as planed there was no chance for there spear-men to get into position and Gawain and his men ripped through there lines and what was left of there Calvary crashed against Arthur's spears and where pretty much stopped in there tracks letting the knights kill the riders that fell off there mounts.Arthur then yells out."Today we fight for the lands we call home.CHARGE."He points his blade forward and his men start running towards the very confused and demoralized forces of the enemy with Arthur leading the charge

Gwen watched as the charge came forward she and her people had there spears ready when the charge came there was barely any horese left, and when they charged mostly into the armored knights who managed to hold there ground it was good; There was a chant of moral speech and then arthur charged forward,"Forward for victory", yelled gwen at the top of her lungs in her language as her men charged forward her with them the crash was brutal someone near her was already impaled by a spear from the enemy her first enemy she took on aimed outwards to strike her was caught off guard by the sight of a woman as she managed to pulled her blade upwards and slicing him across the throat one spear in hand and the short swrod in the other she used these to her advantage to tackel the next opponent;

When Arthur and his men clashed it was brutle Arthur was cutting through the enemy along with Lancelot and Mordred,then Arthur took an arrow to the shoulder making him stagger back but he quickly got his footing and kept pressing the attack,then then kicked a knight knocking him to his back and thrust his sword into the mans chest before looking up he could see the remaining general and the prince and he broke off and rushed them,there guards took up there places but Arthur cut them down even with his wounds and Arthur points his blade at them."It's over your army is routed surrender and you may live."He says as Gawain and his men where doing another charge on what was left of the armies back lines.

Gwen stabbed and slashed through enemies she was so lost in the heat of the battle she didnt have time to look around to see who had fallen or who was still alive; She looked up to see the prince and generals trying to make an escape on there horses as arthur tried to confront them,"Shoot them down!!", she shouted to her people in the woods; There was a flurry of arrows as they aimed for the fleeing opponents all of them where shot with raining arrows the prince was shot in the back causing the generals to have to stop thus there own demise; There was a rush of men as they headed out of the treeline bows in air as they ran towards the downed prince and his generals; Gwen raced ahead shoving past the fighting army; with there generals exposed the remaining army stopped fighting and began to flee men chasing after them; ;

Arthur slowly returns his blade to his side and noticed one of the man who rain was still alive and Arthur runs over and once there he stood over the man who was coughing and spoke."You...you can't do this..the..""The king will know of his failure soon."Arthur says as he removes his helm and looks down at him."You..are but a child...how..."He says and Arthur picks up a spear."This child will take back the lands for the people next is your king."He says as he brings the spear down into the mans chest killing him and putting him out of his misery.

Gwen came forward as the rest of the generals and prince were finally put down; There was a loud shout of victory throughout the cascade of the masses; as they cheered there victory.. gwen however began to look at the dead... most of them were the enemy but she seen a few familiar faces and her eyes closed against the pain... there would be days of grieving followed by feast of the victory but for now there was alot of mess to clean up; Slowly she walked over to Arthur,"I"ll have the women come and collect our dead the others should be piled and burned", she had blood spray all over her but no non injury,"arthur your arm!", she said seeing the arrow piercing through the armor,"You need medical attention now!";
