Xeraph had enough time to just glance as someone new began running up before hearing Armelle's accusation. He closed his eyes, brows furrowed in frustration. s**t...why didn't she go check on Jean Paul? After a moment, he opened his eyes and looked at Armelle, smiling somewhat sadly. "...No, I am not..."

"Who are you, and why are you on earth, Demon?" Armelle exclaimed - holding her staff defensively - readying herself for anything the false angel may have planned. She glanced around to see the others nearby. She quickly threw a handful of salt on the ground - creating a circle around her. The salt glowed - brightening with each fleeting second - as she struck her staff firmly to the ground.

Xeraph paused for a moment, then nodded slowly, his angelic persona fading away as he returned to his true Vampyric form, Xanatos...he gazed back at Armelle with his white eyes, the small, sad smile still upon his lips, "You're right...I am a demon," he said quietly, raising his arms to shoulder height, "As for what I'm doing here...this is my home, child..."

"Preposterous!" Armelle scowled as light began to converge on the tip of her staff - the salt circling her glowing brighter and brighter each second. "A demon belongs in the burning pits of hell - not in the world of my Lord." She clenched her staff and carefully aimed the glowing tip towards Xanatos.
"Heiliges Licht!" Armelle yelled - releasing the energy of the staff. A convergence of white light - formed into a beam - journeyed haphazardly towards Xanatos's solar plexus.

Well, no way I'm getting back on her good side, he thought to himself, sighting quietly and lowering his head, seeming almost oblivious to the divine beam shoot towards him. After a moment, however, his head snaps up, a wild grin on his face. He spreads his arms and wings wide, leaving his chest exposed, which the beam slams into perfectly. As the divine energy sears away his undead flesh, he lets out a loud cackle, his head twisting side to side. "HELL?!" he cried, slamming his hands together into the beam, "HELL COULDN'T EVEN HOLD ME FOR FIVE MINUTES!!" The beam wavered as his hands came together, as if being cut short. After a moment, it dissipates completely, and Xan lowers his arms, the seared flesh mending itself within seconds...

"W... what are you?" Armelle scowled - the circle around her still glowing brightly. She stood in place - expecting an attack from the infernal demon in front of her.

"Wouldn't you like to know..." he whispered into her ear from behind her. The image of him in front of her flickered briefly, then faded away. He placed a hand on her back and pushed her gently, forcing her out of the circle...

Another strange happening - similar from before - caused Armelle to temporarily lose balance. With one push from Xanatos she stumbled out of her divine circle. She turned around in surprise - her mouth slightly gaping in astonishment.
"H... how could you? That's impossible..." Armelle muttered as she fixed her gaze on the demon. "...no unholy creature should be able to surpass holy barriers..."
(( Wow... the world was blown up twice... must I pull off absurd GM-like moves too? ))

"It is quite the conundrum, isn't it?" Xan's voice came from behind Armelle again, the image of him in the circle once again flickering away. He stood with his back to hers, examining his fingernails nonchalantly...

Armelle stood erect - feeling the demon behind her. "...what business do you have on the heavenly father's land..." She asked as she quietly dug around her robe for her consecrated athame - freshly sharpened.

{I'm just going to play Thaliat, she was my first ever RP character, I've played her in a few games over the course of 5 years, while playing other characters in between. She has an enchanted crossbow with magic fire bolts, though it can shoot normal bolts too. She also has a powerful club and a sword. She is very strong from years traveling as a mercenary. Also she has developed the ability to perform earth magic due to a period of travel with a mage. Thaliat is in her early 20's at this point.}
Thaliat steps out of the forest and looks about her. The surroundings are forgien to her, but the sight of a confrontation with a demon is more familiar. Though she does not recognize the demon from any she had previously encountered, Thaliat draws her crossbow and loads a bolt eager to defend the woman facing the demon should it appear she needs it.
Her crossbow ready, Thaliat begins to move towards the girl and the demon.

Armelle sighed and lowered her guard for now. She didn't trust this new stranger on her god's soil. However, it seems she can do little to prevent the happenings.
"...if it doesn't belong to him who does it belong to?" Armelle asked - curious to know exactly who is controlling the world. She trembled though - afraid to know the answer.
Has... everything I've studied... a lie? She thought.
