"Really sensei?" Saaro replied - somewhat disappointed. Although the lack of missions meant more time with Anrakushi, he really wanted to do something more rewarding than guarding the village gates.
(( This is becoming a little peaceful. Does anyone mind if I make an antagonist character that could work with our party? ))

"Glad to see you're well too, Sensei." Anra had replied cooly without a glance to his teacher. Haru turns to the new arrival and smiles warmly, "Hello sensei-san!" She took a quick bow in respect as Anra looked to her, his naked eye having widend slightly in wonder.

"Our sensei's name isn't Sensei, Haru-san." Saaro giggled slightly. "Actually, I'm not quite sure what our sensei's name is. He never really told us." He sighed and began to walk ever onward again - dragging Anrakushi along.
Outside the village gates a shadowy figure rests atop the forest canopy. He smiles as he makes a handsign. Blowing on his fingers a gentle snow begins to fall on Konoha.
"Look everyone!" Saaro said as they walked. "It's snowing!" He smiled - unaware that it is nowhere near the time for snow in the Hidden Leaf village.

Anra bent back his head to look up as the first flakes of snow started to fall from the clear, bright sky above them. "...In the middle of summer?" With this, he had glanced back to his teacher, a pondering look in his eye.
Haru's cheeks had flushed when Saaro made his comment, yet it vanished as she looked up to the sky, a single flake of snow landing on the tip of her nose, "Why is it snowing?" She thought aloud; why indeed?

A sudden whirlwind of gentle snow appears in front of the group. The snow dissipates - leaving a young ninja in it's wake. The ninja was dressed in ice blue robes, wooden sandals, white light sash, and pearl earrings. He smiled as he held a pair of wooden fans in a defensive position.

i'm Vexx if you must know *he said as he jumped off the counter, he looked at the new ninja and pondered if it was Zabzua's little friend. His lips parted but shut again. he remained silent and stared at the newcomer harshly*

The newcomer only laughed mockingly. "These are the ninjas of Konoha?" He said as he unfolded both fans. He glanced at each person in the group and turned his gaze onto Saaro, Anrakushi, and Vexx. "Hmph... You all don't look so tough. If you all want to live, don't get in my way."
With that last comment, the ninja surrounds the group in a gentle-yet-somewhat-blinding torrent of snow as he ran towards the task center.
"H... hey!" Saaro said as he covered his face from the snow. "What's that guy's problem?"

Karu frowned at the stranger, feeling twinge of anger at his statement. "Stupid, overconfident son of a..." He shoves past Saaro and the others, chasing after the unknown shinboi...

*pulls karu back* from the looks of that tree acident i suggest you don't go chasing chunnins or higher, you still need training all of you do *i look at the group and decide upon a series of activities to push them*

Without a word, Haru sprints off after the mysterious man, sweeping her staff at the torrent and causing the snow to melt away a path out. She exits and continues on toward the direction the white figure ran off. Anra, who had been standing in silence, makes no effort to stop the young woman. He had just given the threatening shinobi a cold glare by his naked eye, his free fist clenched at his side.
"Sensei, I'm afraid we have no time for training." He turns to Saaro and Karu, "Saaro-san, Karu-san, we should not let an innocent go about and after an unknown shinobi. We must arrive at the task building and inform the staff before our cold friend reaches them." With that, he gives Saaro a light tug on the arm, as if to follow him.

Feeling the tug on his arm, Saaro nodded and began his pursuit. He sprinted foward - keeping up with Anrakushi and Vexx. As he ran, he rummaged through his pockets for a handful of tranquilizer gas bombs with one hand. He had other more-potent items at his disposal. However he'd rather not use them - especially if the excess power wasn't necessary.
The group slowly caught up to the mysterious shinobi. He giggled slightly as he took a running leap and jumped over the ninja. "OOoorryaaa!" He yelled as he threw the tranquilizers towards his target. He landed in front of the shinobi - pincering the shinobi between himself and Anrakushi.
The shinobi simply laughed as he threw his fans towards the barrage of bombs - destroying them before they could reach their target. He stopped and stared at Saaro - who was now in front of him.

Karu turned and glared at the neko, ready to punch his lights out for stopping him, but holding back. Save it for the other idiot, he told himself, and pulled away from the shinobi, running after Haru, Saaro, and Anra. He watched as Saaro caught up with the stranger and leapt over him, tossing what appeared to be bombs at him. The strange deflected the bombs with ease, but Karu took advantage of the distraction, ducking past Anra, his knees bending, and launching into the air, a spinning jump kick aimed right at the base of the stranger's spine...

Haru trips and falls over her own feet, landing face-first in the dirt of some unknown alleyway. She had gotten herself lost, following after the snow shinobi. With her staff, she pulls herself back to her feet and lets out a heavy sigh.
Anra had rushed up behind the shinobi as Saaro lands swiftly infront of him, with such pace that the shinobi had no time to react as he drew something from his right sleeve. "Saaro!" He called out as the shinobi turned to him, "Tactic 'Fire Bird'!" With such speed, as Karu launches into the air and comes down toward the shinobi, he quickly swings left around where Karu would land.
It was a small gourd that Anra drew, and as he pops off the quark top, he takes the container into his right hand and thrusts it's contents at the shinobi's face. Searing hot liquid that's the color of miso soup splats the ninja's face, it's scorching heat causing the skin on his face to slightly melt away and steam.
(Lin, I leave it up to you to decide what the finishing touches on the tactic is whee )
