Since I had surgery Friday, I haven't been able to get out of the house, so I've been watching a lot of old movies with my mom. I saw Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian Thursday, so I re-watched the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe about three times, and fell in love with Edmund and Skander all over again. Elizabethtown is a favorite of mine, but I might be biased, because they more or less shoved Orlando Bloom in a room full of my relatives. Speaking of Orlando Bloom, Pirates of the Caribbean = made of win. Sweeney Todd, both the 2007 with Johnny Depp and half the adult cast of Harry Potter, and the 1979 musical. (my mother prefers the 2007 version, but I like both equally) Also, for Johnny, I found Benny & Joon hilarious. Corpse Bride, Spirited Away, Kiki's Delivery Service, The Emperor's New Grove, and Meet the Robinsons are my favorite animated movies.

Well, if you are willing (or already like) Japanese films, anything from Takashi Miike is absolutely amazing. He has a 100% original style and his mind is soo far out there, it makes every movie an orgasm of the senses.

Some movies you only go to watch in theatres, just so you know what happened. Others you buy on DVD because THEY ARE SO WORTH OWNING! I wanted to see Sweeney Todd so bad! but I didn't get to. however I still reccomend it. Two movies that really stand out in my mind that I wouldn't mind watching over and over and over again are 1) A Beautiful Mind and 2) A Little Princess. I LOVE THEM SO MUCH! whee I'm a sap for movies that make you cry and crying I cry every time for both. Among movies I HATE to rewatch are The Wizard of Oz aaaaaand i'm not sure what else. somethng else I hate rewatching are episodes of anime. but this is a totally different topic.
if your looking for a good movie to make you cry I HIGHLY recomend A Little Princess and A Beautiful Mind -this one is based off of a true story. it is just so beautiful cry

Aollo 13, a very touching movie about the united states history. as well as Donnie Darko, a very confusing serial type movie. Last but not least, The Boondock Saints, please don't confuse it with the Boondocks movie's series, it's two whole different things, The Boondock Saints is about two twin brother's who kill people for god's avengence.

Battle Royal and Battle Royal 2 a couple of good Japanese movies, funny and crazy movies...oh, and Visitor Q will really mess with your head (takes a few watches to understand, but it's definitely a good watch either way). Enjoy!
