Menankith had bitten his tongue plenty of times before, but today it was A Problem. It seemed like every time he chewed firestone, he bit his tongue! Which, in turn, made it harder to chew firestone. It was getting very frustrating

They were understandably distracted when the next cloud of Thread wafted toward them, but with K'lar and Mnereth's quick thinking, M'llin and Pravdath were spared another painful hit. With a mental nudge of gratitude the pair was off again, trying to find any lingering strands in the dark.

Thread was everywhere up here, and they were intent on preventing as much as possible from falling down to the lower wings. Dobrokhoth dove and twisted, spurting out a long flame.

In the dark, they spotted what looked like a wingmate in trouble, and Dobrokhoth swooped into action. Zeath! I've got you! Careful not to inadvertantly catch the other dragon in the dark with his flame, he flamed down the Thread that threatened him.

As he took aim at another clino of thread, the wind blew it out of range of Dobrokhoth's flame, so they Betweened to get...but came out in the clump. They rushed Between again before it could take them out of the fight, but they would definitely be seeing the Healers later.

It wasn't long before the orders came to shift up to high altitude. It was well and truly dark now. Surprisingly, M'ton and Zygmuth found themselves with a moment of breathing space to look around. Not that there was much to see but darkness.
