"I promise that won't be necessary, though I do appreciate what you're doing. Thank you." Daemon said sweetly as he leaned over to give Milly a kiss on the cheek.

((I guess so. As for CT, maybe Consort gets message from Overlord (I'm assuming he's off terrorizing the countryside right now) wanting her to make sure the peasants are properly terrified and what not? Squash any would-be heroes before they rise up (missing one of course)?))

"I can't remember the last time we had this much time to ourselves." Daemon said with a smile as he stretched beneath the warm island sun with the sandy beach stretching out for what seemed like forever on either side of them. He had very little intention of going swimming, but he was wearing a pair of swimming trunks, lest he overheat in anything more covering.

Larai was dressed in a rather skimpy black swimsuit, a broad grin spread across her lips as the sun shined down on them both. "I know, right? It's been forever and a half since we could do just whatever we liked..."

"I don't think I've ever even been to the beach before, at least with no intention of relaxing." Daemon admitted with a sheepish smile as he squatted down to lay out the beach blanket, pulling their supplies out of his shadow which he'd been using for storage.

"Well, today's our lucky day then. I've never lingered for long on a beach either, unless I was smuggling something or someone." Larai replied excitedly, barely able to refrain from dancing in place from anticipation.

"'Someone'? I hope you don't mean you took part in slave trading!" Daemon said looking up at her with an exasperated expression.

"Of course not! I merely helped 'fine individuals' take leave from their lovely homes...and law enforcement." Larai replied quickly, wanting to reassure Daemon that she'd never do such a thing. Even she was not that corrupt!
